You basically get a driver and a cook for this tour. The car was not the best but it did the job - brought me to Amboseli from Nairobi safe and was able to do the game drives in the park as well. The drive from Nairobi to Amboseli, vice versa took over 7 hours! I was not at ease because there were a lot of cargo trucks and even saw a couple of road accidents on our way. I basically got a driver and not a guide as we basically drove through the roads in the park and it didn't feel like we're on a mission to spot animals. I was still lucky as we got to see a number of animals during the drives. I was really hoping to see Kilimanjaro but this time of the year is not the best to see it, a lot of clouds during the winter, so if you want a game drive with the might Kilimajaro in the background, do it during the summer. I would have to say that the cook prepared tasty food and was very kind and accommodating.

Regarding the game drives in Amboseli, we regret that you didn't feel like you had a proper guide accompanying you.However, in Amboseli, you are not allowed to drive off-road to look for more animals. While off-road driving is not allowed in Amboseli, we will make sure our guests get the best possible sightings of the park's wildlife while adhering to the park regulations.We understand your disappointment about not getting to see Mount Kilimanjaro clearly during the rainy season. Weather conditions can indeed be unpredictable, and visibility might be limited during this time. We recommend planning your next visit during the summer when you are more likely to witness the magnificent Kilimanjaro in all its glory. On a positive note, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the delicious food prepared by our cook. We take pride in offering tasty meals to our guests and providing a warm and accommodating environment throughout the journey. Awesome national park, poor tour company

Once you get there, the park itself and Kibo camp are amazing. The views across to Kilimanjaro are stunning, there were huge amounts of elephants, along with various sightings of buffalo, jackals, wildebeest, hippos and others. Kibo camp is beautiful and the staff there were very friendly, and the accommodation is lovely. Unfortunately Bencio tours were a disappointment - they were very late picking me up on the first day, which really cut down the time to be able to enjoy the camp by the time we arrived after the first game drive. I got told I was going to one camp, then the day of the tour I was told another.. eventually they switched back to the first. I had requested special dietary requirements as it’s a question on the booking, this was ignored. It should be noted that you don’t actually do the game drives through the camp at all - this is handled by the tour company in their vehicle, which was very beat up and with seats with cushions that collapsed years ago.. this made the 4 hour trip from Nairobi very uncomfortable. You’re only actually at the camp for dinner, sleeping and breakfast. My driver, Morris, was perfectly pleasant, however not really keen on chatting at all.. overall the organisation and service of Bencia was really poor. Most of the money for this package goes to the tour company, not the camp.. and you don’t get your money’s worth from the tour company. I would recommend going to this park, I just wouldn’t recommend going with Bencia tours. Organise just transport to the camp and plan your game drives through them instead.

je mets 5/5 car au niveau tarif c'est ultra compétitif... il faut savoir qu'avec la prestation budget, le van est très vieux et inconfortable, mais la prestation est top. Notre chauffeur/guide était très bon et conduisait prudemment. l'hôtel annoncé dans le tour sur le site internet n'était pas le même que celui dans lequel on était.. mais même gamme je pense : logement rudimentaire mais repas très bon et copieux.

Un safari au pied du Kilimandjaro

Un très beau parc avec des troupeaux d éléphants comme nous n en avions jamais vus. Bien sûr des girafes, des zèbres, des antilopes... nous avons également vu des guépards et des flamants roses. Le tout au pied du Kilimandjaro. Grandiose !
