Hide was very knowledgeable and flexible with my guided tour and I was able to learn a lot and experience places in Okinawa I would not have normally been able to go to. Hide even had a kind friend that was able to drive us around to areas that we wouldn't have been able to reach by the monorail, such as Mihama American Village, which added to the experience and positive memories from my trip to Okinawa. I would definitely recommend a guided tour, especially if you are lucky enough to get someone as knowledgeable, kind, and customer-service oriented as Hide.

We had a great day guided throughout Okinawa. Our guide was Michie and she communicated a number of times ahead of our visit (came from a cruise) to personalize the day. We saw a lot, had an amazing lunch, and it was a nice balance of what we were looking for. It’s great you can customize.

Hyde has an absolute passion for history and is well versed in this area. He had planned for us to visit the Okinawa Peace Museum, the Himeyuri Peace Museum, the memorial is Lt General Simon Buckner Jr, lunch at the fish markets, the former Japanese Naval Underground Headquarters and then to the shopping district. It was a little different to what we expected as there was not much walking and mainly taxi rides which had not been communicated in advance. Great tour if you’re into history. We would have liked to see more of the local culture and flare of this city.

We have so many tourists visiting Okinawa, yesterday I visited information desk at Shuri-jo to get some brochure, the attendant told me they'll have 30 sightseeing bus from cruise ship in the morning. They are Chinese tourists from Taiwan, looks like they swarmed into Shuri Jo. I saw two big Cruise ships in Naha port.
I have really enjoyed the tour of myself with your family, too. Thank you for coming to Okinawa this time.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain the discovery of the Minatogawa Remains of Modern Homo sapiens. The Ryukyu islands yield many Pleistocene Human remains from limestone caves, the oldest one is from Yamashita-cho Cave at 32,000 years ago. Your daughter seems very interested in Japanese Anime and culture. Young ladys working at Okinawa World say hello to you and your daughter.

Waste of money! Beware when booking this tour, you are basically paying for a tour guide to go with you to different places that you can take taxi to go on your own. Tour guide will ask you to take taxi to go to different places. Prepare to pay between 10000-15000 YEN for taxi. The guide will just basically walking along with you to 2-3 different places. I wouldn’t recommend booking this tour! especially at $150/person!

We stopped at the 4 sights that I wanted to see plus had time for lunch at a seafood market. Mainly I wanted to learn about WWII and how it affected Okinawa. Our guide Hyde did a good job providing us with an overview.

Our guide, HM’s knowledge of Naha, Okinawa and Japan in general, her interest in the Ryukyu families which traditionally governed Okinawa and her commitment to doing and seeing the things we wanted to see made her an excellent guide for our time in Okinawa. She started her work with an orientation to the area the instant we arrived in the cruise terminal. Though our progress was somewhat restricted by my walking challenges, we had beautiful visits to the Shikinaen Royal Gardens, the Tuma U Dum Royal Mausoleum and a pottery works teaching classes in the art of making traditional Okinawan pottery. We also did a drive-by of the Shurijo Castle (which was undergoing restoration). Thanks to HM, our visit to Okinawa was fun, rewarding and a great learning opportunity.

Our guide Hiromi was exceptional. She was early to our cruise ship and arranged a great day of touring the castle and gardens . We ate lunch in the market and picked out our own fish. Lots of time for souvenirs at end! Plenty of walking. Lots of history and local information. NB: we taxied between attractions for time…about 7-10 USD per ride.

Our practice is to hire a private guide when we first come to a new spot in order to get the lay of the land and to understand the history and culture, and this is what we did upon arriving to Okinawa. Yoshi, our wonderful guide, drove us throughout Okinawa to the castle, shrines, temples, and important sites. He has a terrific knowledge of history, both of Japan and specific to Okinawa, and this was a very educational tour for us. He also gave us tips on good restaurants and other places to visit. I recommend him highly, as well as this tour specifically.

Our tour guide was born near ShuriJo castle. He has extensive knowledge of Naha. He was extremely thoughtful as we had 1 traveler with a mobility scooter and 1 traveler who had difficulty walking.
There were 5 of us so we needed 2 taxis but Hyde arranged travel to the Shinto shrine and the castle and back to market street very well. We all had a good time. Thank you Hyde.

We had lovely experience of seeing the underground Japanese naval base from the war days and then some local cultural induction at Okinawa world including the mesmerizing Gyokosendo Caves. Our Guide Hiromi san was very informative and she was also very considerate of the travelling requirements with a toddler. Notre guide nous a rejoins à l’hôtel comme prévu.
Guide sympathique qui a donné beaucoup d’informations sur la région et l’histoire.
Nous avons du prendre 2 taxis car le transport en commun n’est pas utilisé.
Nous avons su le jour précédent que ce serait ainsi les déplacements.
Il n’est pas proposé de nous offrir d’organiser un chauffeur pour la journée.
Nous avons visité les grottes de Gyokusendo en vitesse car il y avait un spectacle de danse a voir.
Nous avons arrêté a quelques endroits significatifs où sont décédés des infirmières dans une grotte.
Le diner a été au Fishmarket.
Nous avons demandé d’aller au musée du Karaté car nous avons de l’intérêt pour ce sport.
Vite un taxi pour partir avant que nous soyons prêts à quitter.
En arrivant à l’hôtel, un paiement de temps extra m’est demandé.
Avoir su l’organisation de la journée et la méthode de transport nous aurions organisé notre journée nous même.
