If you do the same thing on your own is very cheap . The guide was a nice lady but it was the first experience as a guide. Don’t know the history, the company only taught her very basic things. Not her fault.
I paid over $400.00 US dollars. The tour guide English was very poor .
I think that Viator should refund at least part of the money paid.

We had a wonderful experience touring Nagasaki with our guide. She was incredibly flexible and adapted the whole day seamlessly around the rain, which made a big difference in how much we enjoyed the city. Her English was excellent, making everything easy to follow and engaging, and she shared great context throughout the tour. She also took us to a fantastic sushi restaurant that ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.
A thoughtful, professional guide who clearly cares about her guests. I would highly recommend her.

Moe was fantastic. Got us to our locations before the crowds and brought the message home with stories about her own family’s history in this area. We asked for a sushi lunch and she picked an amazing restaurant. Book this tour, you won’t be sorry.

Fantastic tour guide and tour!! Our tour guide was very informative of the sites. He grew up in Nagasaki and his parents survived the bomb and aftermath. He shared so much of his city’s rich history. We learned much about the Catholic community

Tourists will receive an in depth historical experience from how trade was brought to be in Nagasaki. Learn of horror and aftermath of the dropping of the nuclear bomb on the city. How Christianity came to fruition under tight secrecy.

Kaoru gave us an amazing tour of Nagasaki. We saw the main sites and enjoyed a traditional Japanese meal at lunch, which made the day even more special. Kaoru did a great job guiding us through the city to see as much as possible during our short port time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone arriving by ship in Nagasaki!

Rin, our guide was very accommodating and full of knowledge about her city. It was a pleasure to get to know her. We were extremely pleased with her flexibility. My husband has bad knees and back so we were able to take breaks when needed.
