We had the best time with our private guide ALEXANDER touring the island of Mykonos. The jeep was the perfect way to see the island- comfortable and fun! ALEXANDER took us to the non touristy side of the island so we could experience the Greek culture! He knew all the private spots where we were the only ones and could really take in the beautiful island. SO happy we booked this trip! We would highly recommend this tour and asking for ALEXANDER!!!

So we actually were not able to deboard our cruise ship due to weather so could not participate in the experience:( We did not find this out until the day of our excursion. We were very disappointed and worried we would not get a full refund. We contacted viator and the tour company who issued a full refund within the 24 hr window. I know this is not guaranteed but was much appreciated! Will definitely rebook the next time we're in Mykonos.

Spectacular! One of our favorite tours on the Greek Islands. So many sites were visited and our tour guide, Alexander, was so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Jeep Tour without a Jeep

We were disappointed from the start when we didn't get to ride in a jeep. The driver did not stand outside his with a sign for us to locate him and we didn't see him because he wasn't in a jeep. He gave some excuse about bad tires so he brought an SUV. I'm sorry but we booked this trip way in advance so that is not an acceptable excuse. Plus we had booked this trip to go with two other friends so it was crowded with four in the car. Part way through the trip he says two of us didn't pay so he was expecting only two. Again no reason not to have a jeep. I finally asked him we were going to get to go in the water on a beach and he made a stop. We were all disappointed and we would appreciate refund.

Dear Joanne, this is second review and i think that this is another excuse from you not to pay for the extra 2 people. First of all your reservation was for 2 people and it was clearly indicated on your voucher not for 4!!!This was without any doubt and it is the only truth. Our driver was on time and 10'earlier and he texted you. The luxury SUV Mercedes was actually an upgrade to be more comfortable for 2 people as it was your reservation!!! All of the other customers were very happy for the free upgrade(you can check on our excellentreviews) exceptyou..Suddenly instead of 2 people you were 4, but you paid to Viator for 2 people tour. However our driver was very polite with you ,continued the tour you were very happy as you said and kindly explained to you that there are 2 extra passengers that they have to pay extra for the tour and you have to communicate with Viator to arrange it before the end of the tour. Instead you tried with several excuses to avoid to pay for the 2 extra passengers. We texted you 4 times till now to arrange this issue but you ignored us and till now we dont have any respond from you. Just to mention that at the end of the tour we kindly offered you a bottlte of fine Greek wine and you accepted it. We are very dissapointed.Waiting your respond to arrange this issue. Thank you

Alexander was our driver. He was very knowledgeable of the island. He was engaging and offered lots of options to us. My son and I had an amazing trip to Mykonos and this tour was the icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend this trip!

Beautiful Visit

Michael was amazing, he was very knowledgeable about the Greek history, explained how the various islands locations played such an important influence to the region. We stayed cleared of the crowds and experienced the beauty of the island. He allowed us to stop for a swim in a remote beach, took us to a cute plaza where locals visit. Dropped us off by little Venice. We loved it and experienced the touristy rates ourselves. Truly enjoyable time. Thank you Michael!! Shawn wants to go back again.

Alexander was amazing

Alexander dealt with a surprise issue like a rock star. We had a flat tire on a Range Rover and he changed it in less than 25 minutes!!! AMAZING!! And he just rolled with it!! Ha no pun intended!! He was a great guide and didn’t let that disrupt or distract us from our great day!! And he gave us wonderful suggestions for the rest of our stay.

We had such a great time. Our tour guide was friendly and talked about Mykonos history, culture, current events, pointed out sites and landmarks as we drove by. He took us to beautiful places with views that could not be believed. This tour definitely gets you away from town to the other side of the island.

Disappointing!

Was supposed to picked up at the cruise port, but spent an exorbitant amount of time trying to reach the tour operator who was at a different port. He walked over to meet us and walk us to the correct location. Thought we were supposed to inn a jeep but it was a sedan. Driver did not speak or understand much English so conversation was limited. Did enjoy the beaches & the restaurant for lunch was delightful. Also, did not get dropped off at the cruise port: again had to walk from drop off point back. Not very organized! Not worth $$ spent.

We had an amazing tour of the island with the best tour guide. Mike was fantastic and told us all about the history of the island. Answered any questions we had. Gave us suggestions for what to eat where we stopped for lunch, highly recommended! One of the cheapest and best meals we had the entire time we were in Greece. Loved getting to see all of Mykonos.

Private tour around the entire island in a high horsepower vehicle. Hard not to like!! Mykonos Mike was my guide, a local born and raised. Cool guy, easy to hang out with, extremely knowledgeable about the island - every nook and cranny of it. He definitely has some secret places with jaw dropping views only a local would know. Highly recommend this experience!!

Weather Dependent/Driver not Guide

Because of rain we were not driven in a jeep. The roads to the beaches needed a jeep. Our driver barely understood English. The up side was that instead of going to four beaches we went to two and saw the windmills in Mykonos town and the monastery which has an impressive collection of ecclesiastical artifacts

Best personalized excursion

It was awesome. We originally expected an open jeep but our Range Rover was great. Our guide Giannis was awesome we saw the main tourist attractions but then he asked what we wanted to see and personalized our adventure. From tasting the beer to tasting the wonderful cuisine and wine. We went to very high points on the island to experience breathtaking views and to take a dip in the must beautiful beaches. It was wonderful. Thanks so much for the best excursion ever.

It was an awesome tour cause we had a friendly, relax tour guide made us a fun experience and create great memories. We stopped in different spots with nice views, we had the opportunity to enjoy paradise beaches only for us. No people there when we arrived to the beach. Michael the tour guide gave us enough time to enjoy the beaches also he explained a lot of details of the main sightseeing around the island. It worths a lot for us. We high recommend.

The lighthouse was the only stop we made that we were given the history by our first tour guide. Another tour guide met us there and he spoke and understood very little English and played his radio during the tour. We paid too much for what we received.

Friendly staff, disappointing tour

Our driver was very friendly, smiling and super upbeat. Saw some beautiful views of the island while driving and the light house was cute but the tour itself was a little underwhelming. Viator indicates the tour takes about 5 hours. It took us more or less 2-2.5 hours as the driver was late, the car wasn’t working and the seatbelts were also difficult to use. When an alternative to Ano Mera was requested twice as we had been there we were still dropped off there as the driver had to change the car and attend to personal matters. You would expect time added on as a result but we were surprisingly returned to the hotel fairly quickly without having been able to have lunch anywhere despite having discussed a potential venue earlier in the day. The new car was much better but in the end didn’t make much use of it. Out of courtesy to other non smoking passengers the driver shouldn’t smoke in the car either. We tipped generously as we know the tourism industry suffered in the past two years and are supportive of every hard working individual but the tour itself was somewhat disappointing and could be improved.

Our tour guide, Elena(sorry if misspelled) was absolutely wonderful. Very kind and easy to get along with. Was very informative and took us all over. The views were breathtaking and we even went for a swim! Very knowledgable and answered any questions we had. The jeep was open top, do recommend a hat and sunscreen. The ride was smooth and enjoyable. Thank you so much for the experience :)!

Not Bad, but Not as Described

Our experience differed from the other reviews we’ve read! Our tour did take us all over the island. We saw some beautiful views! However, our guide did not offer stories or historical/cultural information, and wasn’t able to answer many of our questions. She was very kind and accommodating for things we wanted to see, but provided no context about the island. Thankfully, we partnered with another guide who was driving our friends and he was more knowledgeable, despite being very new in his role. Also, the Jeeps we rode in were not open-air Wranglers, so not as pictured or described. (See attached photo). So, although we did get to experience the beauty of Mykonos, the tour was disappointing.

This was such an incredible adventure! We came in the off season, & this tour guided by Anthony was one of the highlights of our trip. He took us to locations that we would have never seen on Mykonos had we not done this tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the island and was happy to answer any questions we had. Even though we weren’t able to swim due to weather, Anthony made sure to show us some beautiful parts of the island. I would definitely still recommend this adventure tour in the off season. Huge highlight of our trip!

This review is written a little late, but better late than never. I highly recommend this tour, it was a really insightful day spent with Anastasia who was our guide, she took us all around the island explaining about the history and answering our hundreds of questions, it really helped to think of Mykonos as more than just a party Island. We took in the sights of the northern beaches which were so quiet but really beautiful, and it’s contrasting landscapes to the south. We went to an old monastery and town in the middle of the island which was full of local life, so pretty and good to see where the locals go. If you want a different perspective on mykonos, I highly recommend this tour and Anastasia it was amazing.
