Wow such an amazing place

Driver picked us up on time and was very friendly telling us about the local area as we drove to the bird sanctuary. When we arrived we was given a bottle of sugar water each to feed the birds .So amazing when humming bird came and sat on my finger to drink the water . Other birds came too we saw a yellow faced grass quit, a jamaican woodpecker a jamaican dove and more .There were 4 types of humming birds ,so beautiful in colour. The sanctuary is quite small but amazing for any bird lover and the guide was so kind answering all of my questions . Would love to go again . Sanctuary offers such a natural beautiful habit for its wildlife. This trip made my holiday x

Rocklands Bird Sanctuary

This is a fantastic experience especially if you love birds. It's not a big sanctuary but the wildlife is amazing. The owner is so knowledgeable and more than happy to share his vast experience with you. The sound that the humming birds make as the approach and drink is amazing. You must use the super slow mo on your phone if you want to see these majestic birds in all thier glory. Take water with you as this place is remote and does not sell anything. Definitely a wonderful place to visit.

Not as “ Billed”

Disjointed communication about pick up. Driver link up was confusing. Poor transportation. Van smelled of pot smoking. Bird Sanctuary would not take credit card and only took cash. Disappointing venue. Not as billed. Definitely not worth the cost. Never again

We pride ourselves on providing a clean, luxury experience with private transfers. As our service is typically private, if we don’t receive clarification that guests are traveling together, we do send separate vehicles. This could explain the disjointed communication regarding the driver link-up. We always strive for clear and efficient communication, so I regret that you found it confusing. In terms of the vehicle’s condition, this is absolutely not the experience we aim to offer, and I’m sorry that the van did not meet our usual standard. All our vehicles are regularly cleaned and maintained. I will be looking into this further to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Regarding the Bird Sanctuary, while we do mention that the area is rural and services may be limited, we will make sure to better highlight this potential issue in our pre-tour communication to avoid confusion. We do apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We always reach out to guests before tours, and I’m sorry if our attempts to connect didn’t reach you in time to address these concerns. We value your feedback, and it will be taken into consideration to help improve our service moving forward. A Great Guide

The Bird Sanctuary was an incredible experience I couldn't recommend enough, but as admission isn't covered by this package I was sceptical about the price. However, our driver Randy was a great guide and had lots of insights about the local area. He made the travel to and from the Sanctuary a great addition to a great day

Rare humming bird feeding experience

The tour went well with a lot of humming birds, finches, and even an owl. Not a venue for kids or adults with short attention spans that need all the flashy marketing.

Too expensive at the bird sanctuary

It was average. Not a lot of hummingbirds. The $25.00 admission fee is too expensive for the very short experience. And they only take cash.

Unique and peaceful bird sanctuary visit.

This experience was so peaceful and serene, having the hummingbirds fly up and sit on your finger and drink the nectar was absolutely amazing. Our driver, Kevin was great fun & made the transfer back-and-forth so enjoyable. Highly recommend this experience.

Excellent opportunity to learn about Hummingbirds up close. Excellent staff. We also went on guided bird walk with Fritz, , 24 species seen in short time including 3 owls. Unfortunately I lost my for me meaningful sun hat, and could not contact the sanctuary as no email, and no one picks up the phone there. That was quite disappointing

A Must for Any Birdlover

Tucked up in the hills this place is amazing for any bird lover! Our driver Damien patiently waited for us while we walked around with Fritz looking at the many different species of birds endemic to Jamaica. Highly recommend!

Great tour guide David Richie. He told us so much about Jamaica. We were picked up from our hotel, taken to the bird sanctuary, and dropped back off at our hotel. Fritz was wonderful at the bird sanctuary and it was so fun to hand feed the beautiful birds in their natural habitat!
