First of all, know that the time is island time and not ship time if are coming from a cruise. This information is NOT communicated. When called the operator, at first would not answer. Then started declining my call. Would highly recommend booking through ship.

I sent you pickup for 9am from the night before and you requested to be picked up at 10am instead. Afterwards you called Viator to change your pickup to 11am. You arrived in Jamaica and realized that you made a mistake by changing the pickup time. You called me and I told you I was at the car wash and I will try to be there by 10am. I realized that I wasn’t going to make it for 10am, I texted you and confirmed for 11am.

Misleading Title and Description for Bamboo Rafting, Massage and Hip Tour

Pay close attention to what you book because the description and title is very misleading. We thought we were paying for bamboo rafting, massage and hip tour. Only to find out we only paid for the Margaritaville Tour which was nowhere on the title or description. Then, I was contacted by someone telling me I had only paid for the Margaritaville Tour and I had no idea what he was talking about. I couldn't understand how an online reservation could go from $45/person to more than twice that amount. He said I could cancel for a full refund or pay an additional $100/person if we still wanted to do bamboo rafting and massage. I requested my full refund because that felt shady to me. Then, he (Alex) said he could give us a discount of $85/person in addition to what I had already paid. I was no longer interested.

Confused Communication

Our excursion was booked for 2pm. We were in the lobby at 1:20pm for pickup. They never showed up. We called, the hotel staff called and we didn’t get an answer. I received a email and a call at 3pm stating they would arrive at 3:30pm. At this point we booked another excursion. I received another call at 3:20pm saying, we were booked for a completely different excursion. Currently waiting on my refund.

Your booking was made shortly after 12:00 PM with a selected pickup time of 2:00 PM. We received the confirmation from Viator at 1:00 PM. Upon receiving the booking, you sent a message inquiring about your pickup, to which I responded promptly, confirming your reservation and advising that we unfortunately did not have availability for a 2:00 PM pickup due to the short notice. I informed you that the next available pickup time was 3:30 PM. In addition to the Viator message, I also sent you a text and attempted to call. When we finally connected by phone at 2:40 PM, you advised that you preferred to cancel the tour. Given that we made multiple attempts to communicate with you through email, text, and phone, I believe it is inaccurate to describe the situation as a result of poor communication. Despite the last-minute nature of the booking, we did our best to accommodate your request. Your refund has already been processed by Viator and should reflect within 3–5 business days. Thank you

The raft captain was phenomenal and made the whole trip! He was extremely knowledgeable about the Great River and provided a lot of interesting information. I rated this 3 stars because it was a rather expensive day and there was no limestone massage or shopping experience, as advertised.

Our driver Wayne was on time & such a sweetheart. The entire experience was phenomenal from start to finish. Our raft captain “Vandon” was so nice and gave some facts about the area. It was such a relaxing time and the limestone foot massage was EVERYTHING I needed. In all I would recommend this package and be prepared for relaxation.

The bamboo rafting was great!! The guys that were on the rafting were wonderful!!! Our driver Pablo was not on time picking us back up from the bamboo rafting. He was very late and is not very reliable…for the amount of money we paid for this experience having a reliable driver is very important.

Amazing excursion with even better people giving it! The driver made sure that we were taken care of, answered our question, gave some history of the island along the way and stopped for food before bringing us back to our resort. Simply the best. Pablo was our driver and Andre was our raft captain. Ask for them!

Scam For American Dollars - No Actual Rafting Took Place

Skip this excursion - and ask for your money back if you already booked this tour. The river "rafting" part of the excursion was maybe fifty yards in length. You feel like you are on a water taxi making three stops before your guide jumps in the water and pulls you back up to the starting point. One stop you could buy alcohol. Second stop was for the limestone massage which took place right on the raft. My husband was offered a full body massage for $38 US dollars by the lady working on his feet. He ladies were expecting to be paid even though we tried to explain to them that the massage was paid for in our admission ticket. They demanded to be compensated. We thought the massage would be after the rafting on dry land before heading to the Hip Strip. The Hip Strip was another nightmare. Our driver picked up a "friend" of his while in route to the Hip Strip. We were a private transfer. He dropped us off at Tropical Treasures and said we have 30 minutes to shop and he would pick us up at 12 Noon. Finally around 12:30pm, the gift shop owner called the driver and he said he was at least 30 minutes away. It is Jamaica and you don't go by a clock. An hour and a half late he finally showed up. The entire trip is a scam. I am asking Viator to refund my money. The asking price for this excursion is extreme considering what you actually get for the price paid. Viator needs to drop this listing from their inventory.

This was the worst excursion I have ever been on. Our driver Pablo was an hour late picking us up and then left us to go get other passengers when this was a private tour. He then was two hours late to picking us up and we didn’t get to complete the second half of tour.Our rafting guide Mario was the best even when all other things failed be made sure the rafting part was a great experience. After contacting the agency they only offer a twenty percent refund when clearly half of the tour wasn’t completed. Will never book with these people ever again and I don’t suggest that anyone does!!!

Paid one month ago never pick up to go the activity. They call to ask 100$ more for the bamboo which I was ready to pay. But finally just wanted to go to the hipstrip private tour. My friend wait in the lobby for 3 hours. Never had the chance to go.

We paid $45 a piece and the next day someone texted us and said we had to pay an extra $60 because the bamboo rafting wasn’t included .. and we didn’t even do the hip strip so they got over on us for $90.

Horrible experience with driver and the operator who managed our booking “Alex” tries to rip me off saying I wouldn’t do bamboo rafting when it already said in brochure , he texted me trying to change the time multiple times .driver arrived early but afterwards it went downhill , very unprofessional, loud blasting music and also stopped to do his own things like taking money out of bank while we waited in vehicle . His driving was horrible ! When we finally got there like one hour the bamboo rafting was decent very nice people but beware ! ‼️ the locals will hound you . Once we were finish the driver wasn’t there in sight we finished 6pm and tried to communicate with Alex thro text message I was left “on read” it got dark no light all the tourist left and me and my son were the only one left . We had to use our self phones for lights . Luckily (Smiley) the bamboo guy stayed with us until the unprofessional driver arrived , we had to move away from river and waited further up road . No luck communicating with Alex until I asked smiley to call him and he did answered him! He did not answer my phone calls!!! So he said he will be there soon! I waited for Two hours! With a bunch of men I was so scared the only woman there . But smiley kept me and my 11 years old son safe . So if you get a text from (Alex) saying to re book or cancel don’t do it! Or cancel bc he will Scam you ! Horrible driver and horrible operator !!!! Stay safe y’all
