I was really looking forward to this excursion, but it ended up being one of the most upsetting parts of my trip—and to make things worse, the company denied my refund request. When we arrived at the location, we got out of the car (not a raft), and right away, my family and I were swarmed by aggressive vendors. It was a lot, but I tried to stay calm and push through. Then things took a turn inside the property—several men who clearly worked there (they were fully in uniform) started shouting pet names at me, drawing attention and making a scene. As someone who’s introverted and doesn’t like being in the spotlight, I felt extremely uncomfortable and disrespected. Later, when I got onto the raft, those same men burst into laughter. I tried to let it go, thinking maybe it wasn’t about me—but then it happened again as I was stepping off the raft and squeezing through a tight gate. Again, they laughed loudly. That’s when I realized it wasn’t a coincidence. On the way out, I looked back—no one was laughing anymore, just speaking loudly and avoiding eye contact. It felt mean-spirited and targeted, and I felt completely humiliated. I told our driver what happened, but instead of showing concern, he seemed amused. I asked him to take me back to the site so I could speak to a manager, and he refused. He told me he had another tour and said I should “just get over it.” I even offered to skip the restaurant stop just to go back and report what happened, but he still said no. I was unfamiliar with the area and didn’t feel safe returning on my own. What should have been a peaceful and family-friendly experience turned into something that made me feel disrespected, embarrassed, and completely unsupported. I explained all of this when I contacted the company, but they still refused to issue a refund. Instead, they offered a small discount for a future tour—something I have no intention of taking. I’m sharing this because no one should have to feel the way I did. I hope they take this seriously and train their staff better, both at the location and among their drivers, to treat guests with basic respect and dignity

After conducting our internal review, including a discussion with the assigned driver, we found that the individuals involved were not affiliated with our company or the rafting provider. However, we fully understand how the situation may have been upsetting. While we are unable to offer a refund, we would be happy to extend complimentary pickup and 15 percent off any future tour as a gesture of goodwill. We truly hope you will give us the opportunity to provide the peaceful and enjoyable experience you were expecting.
