Worst experience ever very cheap looking hate everything about it They wanted a tip for every little thing and wasn’t very entertaining

Hi Jazza, thank you for your review of the Luminous Lagoon Tour. Our staff never asks for tips. However i can't speak about boat operators. I think there is a standard message by all boat captains at the Lagoon saying if you enjoyed a tour, please leave a tip. The tour is not about entertaining but experience one of the nature wonder of observing a phenomenon of bioluminescence.

We had issues with the driver being verified at the gate. We didn’t know we were only paying for transportation so we were surprised when we had to pay another $20 per person when we arrived. We also did not feel safe.

Hi Jessica, thank you for taking a tour with us and writing a review. First of all, I want to point out that the driver couldn't be verified, because you told the hotel that you booked a tour with Amstar company. Hence they asked our driver to demonstrate Amstar Id which he couldn't. It caused delay. Secondly, you knew about 20 USD entrance fees as we mentioned it in three different places and we also wrote you additional private message reminding about this cost and you responded to it, agreeing to those charges. The reason the cost for the boat ride is separate cost as price is for local travels is 70 percent cheaper than tourists. And hence we us each guest to cover their respective charges. Thirdly, I am not sure why you felt unsafe. Yes this is a night tour and some people get scared to go to the water. But the boat have life jackets for everyone. And all boats at the lagoon are very similar to each other. In general, you were very happy with a tour when talking you us and we find it very surprising to read your public review.

Dependable transportation to the Luminous Lagoon

This tour is basically transportation to the Luminous Lagoon, where a boat and captain will be waiting for you. You’ll need to pay them $20pp for the actual boat trip. That being said, Al was the best driver ever. He picked us up on time and got us to the LL with a few minutes to spare. Best of all, he was a fantastic conversationalist and even invited my daughter to share some of her favorite music with him on his Bluetooth. The LL was a surreal experience and Al made it even more enjoyable with his company.

Not worth the money

Tour lasted 15 minutes. We sailed out on the boat for <5 minutes and once swimming was over we sailed right back. Then they ask you for money for your pictures. No drinks, no music, not informative. Not worth the money.

Dear Anansa, thank you for your review. We would like to remind that the main purpose of this tour is not entertainment, music or drinking but observe a world's natural wonder. The cruise is conducted semi private environment (both your transfer and an actual boat ride) and a captain gives as much time to swim and observe lagoon as guests wish. Sometimes it is 15 min, sometimes it is 45 min. In addition, our tour guide gives detailed information on the place on the way to the lagoon and all participants are offered one complimentary drink. So the total duration of the tour is the transfer is 2.5- 3 hours. We have never promised photos included in a tour. Though we have a special arrangement for picture prices for our company. Sorry your expectations wasn't met, but if you were looking for a party boat cruise type experience, that's simply a wrong tour.
