We had such a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We learned a lot of new things and really enjoyed driving around in the ATV’s. Driving through local communities was an amazing experience and we got to swim in nice water. The food was also amazing.

- Pickup is available from any address in the Montego Bay area, including hotels, Airbnbs, and private residences. - Pickup from locations in Trelawny, Runaway Bay, and Ocho Rios (such as Royalton Blue Waters/White Sands, Ocean Coral Spring, Excellence, Bahia Principe, etc.) is available for an additional fee. - Don’t see your address listed in the dropdown? Try typing the full address or hotel name manually in the search bar to check availability. - Pickup times shown at booking are approximate and not the confirmed tour start time. Your exact pickup time will be shared after booking, based on your location. - A valid driver’s license is required if you plan to drive during the experience.

Itinerary

After pickup from your Montego Bay hotel, travel about 75 minutes to Roaring River, where you meet your first guide who takes you on a tour of the area. See coffee being roasted, sip a fresh juice, then meet your ATV guide. (Please note: a driver’s license is required to drive an ATV.)

After a quick briefing, you’re off, roaring through forest, fields, farms, and tracks that would be hard to find independently. Enjoy a swim in a natural mineral pool and a visit to a ganja field, then taste fruit fresh from the trees.

Drive back to the base station in time for a fresh-cooked lunch made with market produce, before your original tour guide brings you back to your driver to return to your hotel.

Amazing experience. The entire trip was a great adventure to say the least. “Junior” was our driver, very hospitable and engaging the entire trip. Our tour guides Colwayne and Daniel were very cool and helpful through the entire ATV experience. The stop at the farm was a highlight and very informative. It was raining which made us enjoy the ATV driving even better! So much culture and history shared with us during our trip. I highly recommend you do this excursion, you won’t regret it.

It was great I loved learning about the Rasta community and driving around in the ATV. Because of my age (83) I was given a driver, Dino who was delightful! Everyone was so friendly. I had a great time.

Not as expected

KATHARINA_E, Apr 2026
Honestly, I’m disappointed with the tour. I expected more-especially given the very high price. The guides were really nice and friendly, BUT the main focus was on ATV riding. Contrary to what was stated in the description, there was NO Blue Mountain coffee tasting. In addition, the weed plantation was very disappointing. It wasn’t a proper field as shown in the first photo, but rather just a few plants (most of them dried out) in pots. These two points (coffee and plantation) were actually the main reasons I booked this expensive tour, and unfortunately I was very disappointed. I wouldn’t book it again.

We did this experience on our trip March 18th and it was the highlight of the vacation. The countryside was beautiful and our guides Ali and Skello gave a great tour. Be sure to stop by the centuries old cotton tree by the river.

Great experience

This is culture at it’s finest and fun to ride a buggy in the heart of Jamaican land! Strongly recommend! Needles to day Jamicans are simply the best!

Exceptionally amazing adventure!!!! This was by far my favourite excursion! You’re totally immersed!

Chris_W, Mar 2026
It was more than just an experience! The drive up the mountain to the excursion was phenomenal! You see a lot of the outer city, you are in the mountains! I loved the staff, they were friendly, welcoming and had a great sense of humour! I recommend this trip by far!!! The ATV tour and the cave were both epic! I strongly suggest doing the cave at the end of the Rastafari tour! It’s $30 USD, well worth it!

Book with them before going with anyone else!! They show you the real Jamaica and how they live day to day! I appreciate both of our tour guides because they were very informative, showed us things that not many people get to see! They are so generous and this isn’t the average tour, its more so yeah, book with them!

Just book it

This was my 2nd time going on this excursion. Knowing what the village and country looked like prior to Hurricane Melissa and then seeing what it looks like now was truly heart breaking. We still had a great time seeing the countryside, sampling some plants (allspice, garlic, lemongrass, etc), seeing the ganja farm, swimming in a local waterhole, and eating a delicious vegan meal. The guides are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and only want for you to have the best experience. Of course driving around on the atvs was awesome! If youre someone who wants to get to know the real Jamaican culture and rasta people, dont hesitate in booking this. One thing to add, this is essentially an all day experience. We booked the 1245 tour and got back to our resort around 730pm. Trust me, the length of it is worth it! Shout out to Colwayne and Shevon who were our guides, thank you!!

Super fun trip and very educational. It’s fun to see more of the countryside in Jamaica. Kenneth the bus driver is fantastic too!

Great experience

Alexa_W, Mar 2026
This experience was great from the time of pickup to drop off. We had great conversation with our driver as he told us all about our surroundings and about where he grew up. Once we got to the tour, they welcomed us and told us about the local plants as we walked up to meet our guides. The guides were great, very encouraging even though it was my first time driving an atv/utv and i felt comfortable after a few minutes. The scenery was great and we got to stop and take pictures and see animals on our way to the swimming spot. The water was perfect and we even picked up a little souvenir while we were there. Then we headed back, toured the ganja farm and had a few samples. Once we got back we got a great vegan lunch, which was a pleasant surprise since i dont eat meat and didnt specify my dietary needs. Then our driver kenneth took us home and seemed to know we were sleepy and put on some reggae to soothe us to sleep. Would def do this again!

Hurricane destroyed these lands so do not expect vast fields of luscious greens... Do expect a very nice experience with very knowledgeable guides keen on sharing their knowledge of the land and culture. It was a great time, service and communication was tip top. Bring tip and tip the people who are welcoming you on their land.

Authentic. Big time. You’ll need to tip 8 people total. Very safe and cool for the kids. Must be 18 to drive. Definitely bring adventure sandals if you are tender footed.

This was such a cultural experience and my boyfriend and I enjoyed every minute of it. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Hurricane Melissa did a number in their community yet everyone was still smiling and welcoming. Thank you Junior, Carlos, and the crew!

I took my mom on this experience and I had an amazing time! Although they experienced a traumatic event with hurricane Melissa they are still resilient and it shows. All of the tour guides were great social and very informative about the land they live on and made a living on. Calwayne was so sweet and a great time making me and my mother feel right at home

Must Do

Valerie_K, Jan 2026
I loved this adventure! As a solo traveler, I was looking for a way to see more of the countryside with ease. Owen picked me up promptly and we went up into the mountains and visited the community. The community was welcoming and friendly despite the recent devastation of the hurricane. They have rebuilt and were able to show me the ganja fields, local plants and take me for a swim. Special thanks to Carlos, Shevon and Bobby for facilitating such an awesome experience. Owen was a fantastic guide as well. He made sure I had everything I needed, including coffee in the afternoon. It was a great experience!!

Mesmerizing Trip! A must do!

Jason_R, Jan 2026
This village is incredible! We went 6 weeks after the worst storm in written Jamaican history… Guess what? They were all smiling and loving life. Really makes you appreciate life Mr. cool, Shaggy and Dale were the best, heck we even met a guy who goes by dog S***. They kinda have their village nickname. . This place is gorgeous. I’m thinking of funding a mission trip to help rebuild. Most mesmerizing? They have a hole that has been bubbling millions of gallons a water a day forever. They have never found the bottom!

A must do!

We loved this tour. We had a glimpse into a Jamaican lifestyle and were amazed by their great sense of community. We felt genuinely welcomed as a visitor and all the people involved in running the tour were friendly and interesting This was an absolute favourite for us! A great way to explore the island and make the most out of your time there. Riding the trikes along the sea made for an unforgettable experience. Tour staff were really friendly and attentive..

Great cultural experience

Bobby, Alecia, Chris and Paul were great and very knowledgeable. They gave you another view of Jamica.

Tobias_S, Dec 2025
We visited RastaSafari shortly after Hurricane Melissa and were blown away by how kind and welcoming the staff were. Despite everything, they were incredibly friendly, positive, and made us feel completely comfortable. The tour was great, but the warmth and hospitality of the team truly made it special. Highly recommended!

Pure Magic

Kelly_D, Oct 2025
I can see why this is the number 1 recommended excursion. It could be the breathtaking scenery, or learning a Jamaican way of life. The ATVs are a blast to ride around the village on. Seeing and learning about the plant life and the way the locals use it was so fun. Swimming in a jungle lagoon was magical. But I think the real reason this is the number 1 excursion was the way the villagers and our guides, Ali & Skello, had the ability to make me feel like I was spending time with well-loved family. 10 out of 10, would 100% recommend. I hope to be able to return someday.

Fun Rastafarians Tour

“The Rastafarian UTV Ride was such an unforgettable experience! 🌿 We had an absolute blast — even when the rain came down, it only made the adventure better! 🌧️💚 If you’re ever in Jamaica, you’ve got to add this to your list — pure good vibes and nonstop fun from start to finish!”

I went with my significant other on this trip. We were the only ones on the tour which some people might like but I prefer it to be a small group. We arrived and received a nice drink and offered ganja. Then went to the ATV with two tour guides . It had rained really bad so we did not get to swim in the river but did go into a natural spring. We drove through the village and got to see locals but honestly felt a little uncomfortable. Then we stopped at a corner store to stop and buy something but again we did not feel very comfortable going in just the two of us so we respectfully declined and could tell they did not appreciate it. Finally got back to eat the included meal on this beautiful property , very clean and beautiful view. Overall I think it would have been a better experience for us if we were in a group but going solo felt a little uneasy for us. The views are beautiful and driving in the atvs was fun.

Kim and Jay’s vacation

Jay_S, Oct 2025
What an amazing experience! Our guide, Gilbert, shared his knowledge of the geography, the plants and animals, and the Rastafarian way of life. We swam in the Roaring River, explored 365 acres of back country in an easy to drive ATV, and toured a working ganja farm. They also fed us a delicious vegetarian lunch. I highly recommend RastaSafari!

A Very different experience! My favorite part of Jamaica
