Great experience! Tour is 90 minutes from Montego Bay - add 3 hours to the tour time - ATV experience was great! Appreciated the bathroom stop and clean bathrooms on the route and at the venue! The bus operator gave us great information along the route. Our tour guide Carlos, and his team were kind and helpful! Recommend this tour!

Itinerary

After pickup from your Montego Bay hotel, travel about 75 minutes to Roaring River, where you meet your first guide who takes you on a tour of the area. See coffee being roasted, sip a fresh juice, then meet your ATV guide. (Please note: a driver’s license is required to drive an ATV.)

After a quick briefing, you’re off, roaring through forest, fields, farms, and tracks that would be hard to find independently. Enjoy a swim in a natural mineral pool and a visit to a ganja field, then taste fruit fresh from the trees.

Drive back to the base station in time for a fresh-cooked lunch made with market produce, before your original tour guide brings you back to your driver to return to your hotel.

Big Up to the entire crew that was involved in our experience (Respect!), This experience created the opportunity for us to see a genuine and up close look into regular life of the locals. Our tour guides Gilbert and Paul were great and really did a great job of sharing their community with us. The tour gave a lot of opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the life of both our Guides (Gilbert and Paul) but also about the community (Roaring River) as well. Special shout out and thank you to Gilbert for the Breadfruit. Our kids (8 and 11) loved the tour and swimming in the river and have been talking about the experience ever since. Highly recommend for Kids. Thank you to the cook for the delicious Ital meal. Last but not least our driver Clifton was wonderful and engaged. He was helpful and informative and answered our never ending questions while he drove us to the tour and back again. The tour focused on both the experience and interaction with the locals and not on trying to sell anything. I never felt uncomfortable in any way. Must try experience (I will definitely return the next time we are in Jamaica)

Highlight of my trip!!

Katiana_L, Sep 2026
My friends and I had a fantastic day at the Rastafari Cultural ATV community activity. We want to thank Eran our driver for being very careful on the road and informative. The experience was an adventure, we got to ride the UTVs in the countryside, swim with the locals in the river, visit a ganja farm and also eat some authentic vegan food. Everything felt very natural and fluid. Thank you to the team for a very raw and genuine experience. Please do visit when in Jamaica. Sidenote: If you are plus size, don't be afraid to participate in this excursion, everyone is accommodating and the experience is fun!

Best Excursion We Did in Jamaica! 🇯🇲❤️

kimberlyandrea24, Aug 2026
Wow!!!! Out of all the excursions my husband and I did on this trip, this was by far our favorite! ❤️ You absolutely MUST book this on your next trip to Jamaica. Not only was it such an amazing experience, but you’re also supporting the local community as they continue to recover from the devastating hurricane last year, which made it even more special. The locals were so welcoming, our tour guide was amazing, and the views were absolutely beautiful. And the Mineral River… WOW! It was so refreshing and peaceful. I could’ve stayed there all day! I was honestly so sad when the excursion was over because I didn’t want it to end. Everything about it was amazing, and it’s definitely an experience I’ll never forget.

Absolutely Amazing!

The rastasafari was absolutely amazing! Kenneth was my driver and he was so kind and helpful. He told so much about Jamaican history, culture, and geography. I don’t remember the names of the ATV guides but they were also amazing. They were very down to earth, patient, and hilarious. The village was absolutely beautiful and the locals made me feel like I was right at home. Definitely a must do experience. I plan to come back whenever I come back to Jamaica ! ❤️

Highly recommend this tour!

We had such a great time on the Rasta Safari tour! Starting with our driver to the excursion. The ATV ride was a blast, and our guide, Niko, was awesome. He was friendly, fun, and made the entire experience enjoyable. One of the stops was a beautiful river where we got to cool off with a swim. There were also a few local vendors, a jerk chicken spot, and a DJ playing music, which made for a fun atmosphere. The highlight of the tour was learning about the Rastafari culture. It was really interesting to hear about the history and way of life, and we finished the experience with a delicious homemade Rastafarian meal. If you’re looking for a tour that combines adventure, culture, and authentic local experiences, this is definitely worth it. Thanks again to Niko for making it such a memorable day!

It was so much fun even though it rained it was ok still and we had fun!!!! The people were nice and the trail ride was long and worth the money.

The best excursion to experience the REAL Jamaica.

Destiny_H, Jul 2026
We absolutely enjoyed this excursion. I would highly recommend if you are looking to experience the REAL Jamaica. The parish where the excursion is, is about an hour and a half drive away so be prepared for that. The driver was extremely nice and educated us on the towns and buildings we were passing. He stopped us halfway for a restroom. We then got to the parish where the excursion was and were greeted with a welcome drink. We were educated about different plants and their uses while we walked to our atvs. There are restrooms on site btw. Calloway was our tour guide for the atv rides and he was so intentional with the routes he took us. We got to see a lot of the land and so many animals. The animals were living very freely and that was something we appreciated. We then stopped near a river where we were invited to swim if we’d like. There is also food, drinks, and souvenirs for purchase there. The next stop was the cannabis farm. We were educated on the plants and their benefits. The last stop was for our homemade vegan lunch with food from the land. This experience was very grounding for us. We got to see a lot of the damage from Hurricane Melissa while also being very educated and appreciative of the land we were standing on. Bring swimwear, water shoes, towels, cash, and an open mind. We enjoyed being in the middle of the island and experiencing the locals. It will be hot so dress cool and comfortable. I would 1000% recommend this excursion.

We really enjoyed the Rastafari Cultural ATV Community Experience from Montego Bay! The staff was friendly, the cultural experience was interesting, and the scenery was beautiful. Our only complaint is that the ATV ride felt too short—we were just getting into it when it was over. Overall, it was still a fun experience, and we’d recommend it to anyone looking for a unique adventure.

Must Do!!!

Gabrielle_B, Jul 2026
Probably the best experience we had during our stay in Jamaica! If you don’t do anything else, this is a must! The views are beautiful, the ATV is so much fun, the river was so refreshing to swim in, the people are very kind and knowledgeable about their land, the weed farm was great along with the medicinal items they had to purchase if you wanted, and the lunch was one of the best meals we had during our stay in Jamaica! Transportation from our resort in Montego Bay was smooth and about an hour and 10 minute drive to the farmlands of Westmoreland. A true cultural experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Carlos, Andre, and Shevon were amazing tour guides! Thank you!!!

Must do !

Best experience

Quirby_G, Jun 2026
This experience was really worth it not like your average ATV riding. I’m so glad the other plans that we had didn’t work out. We learned a lot of stuff just take full advantage of what they offer they did offer us. Did we wanna go in the cave but we didn’t because we were tired but next time I know that I will do the cave. It was nice getting out with the locals and learning fun facts about the mountains. Also, the vegan meal that they gave us was really good. Do it it’s worth it. Everyone made us feel comfortable.

One of a kind experience

Keora_B, Jun 2026
Omg!!!!! The experience with Dale (our driver), Carlos, Paul and Gilbert was amazing!! The best time we had in Jamaica. Worth every penny. Be sure to bring cash to tip, it’s worth it. The driver was charismatic and hilarious, he also had excellent tunes and was on time to pick us up. We saw breathtaking scenery even though it was raining (liquid sunshine) and learning so much about the mountains and parishes in Jamaica was more than I could ask for. Every one was friendly and informative, the most genuine people I’ve met. Seeing the river and swimming was awesome and special thanks to Gilbert for noticing our tire was a bit low!! One of a kind experience, book now!! Oh yeah we learned about different herbs (lemon grass, allspice), the weed fields were a bit lack luster but we purchased some amazing juice and other things :)! All respect and love. No fruit unfortunately but the vegan meal was warm and hearty. Very good.

A happy team

The people were very friendly the food they served for lunch was a vegan dish and to my suprise it was delicious 😁

The tour was amazing. From pick up, the locals, learning about the plantation, to drop off. Rushawn, Bobby, Carlos, Dino and the rest of the team we appreciate your service today. We will make sure we book with you all next time we visit Jamaica.

Great experience

Sara_L, May 2026
Daniel Paul and Clinton were the best. From learning about the history to experiencing the true raw culture it was amazing! I’ll come back and do this tour again and again. So much fun vibes were great. And lots of different things to partake in😎

Best Excursion in Jamaica

Danah_E, May 2026
This was the best tour we could have possibly had! RastaSafari is Jamaican owned (Marley the owner is seen working the grounds and is very humble.) It so important to be supporting locally owned businesses, especially as they rebuild from the hurricane. Kenneth picked us up in a clean bus and was so informative and fun. We were greeted at the grounds with a yummy drink and walked around with Alicia who taught us about herbs and the property. Callowane and Andre took us on our ATV tour. The guides drive bikes and you actually get to drive the ATVs yourself for a long amount of time through the hills and over the river! They were a blast and let us hangout, swim and shop as long as we wanted at our stops. We spoke with Ben at the shop who taught us about all of the goods they were selling, and there was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. We spent time learning at the ganja farm where Nicolas and Jimmy gave us so much info about the history and science of cannabis in Jamaica. We then were served a yummy lunch. Everyone we encountered was so kind and fun. This was genuinely the best part of our time in Jamaica!! We will definitely do this again when we return.

100/10 experience would definitely book again! everyone was very nice and welcoming, especially the tour guides. plus you get to see so much in one day i would recommend for anyone wanting to go off the resort and have an authentic jamaican experience

You don’t want to miss this

Alissa_K, May 2026
It takes almost two hours drive to get to the destination but I promise it’s worth it. Our driver educated us on Jamaican history and drove through the busy streets of Montego Bay so we could see some action. Our favorite part of this tour was the fact that we were able to meet the locals and vibe with them. We were fed a delicious vegetarian lunch at the end of the tour as well. It was awesome and we will be back!!!

Amazing 10/10 experience! Everything was authentic, and the team was very friendly and informative. Thank you!

Great cultural experience

Todd_T, Apr 2026
My wife & I loved our time at Rastafari. If you’re looking for a cultural experience & want to explore the true beauty of Jamaica this is where you want to be. It’s in the country side & you get to see & experience how Jamaica truly is.. All the people that work for Rastafari & the villagers showed so much hospitality. Woodpecker in the village made us some really nice wood art. The spring is so refreshing. The country side is so beautiful to ride in & explore. The food they make for you is great. If your booking this for a cruise don’t hesitate they work with you on times & will bring you back to port whenever you want

It was great I loved learning about the Rasta community and driving around in the ATV. Because of my age (83) I was given a driver, Dino who was delightful! Everyone was so friendly. I had a great time.

Not as expected

KATHARINA_E, Apr 2026
Honestly, I’m disappointed with the tour. I expected more-especially given the very high price. The guides were really nice and friendly, BUT the main focus was on ATV riding. Contrary to what was stated in the description, there was NO Blue Mountain coffee tasting. In addition, the weed plantation was very disappointing. It wasn’t a proper field as shown in the first photo, but rather just a few plants (most of them dried out) in pots. These two points (coffee and plantation) were actually the main reasons I booked this expensive tour, and unfortunately I was very disappointed. I wouldn’t book it again.

Chris_S, Apr 2026
We did this experience on our trip March 18th and it was the highlight of the vacation. The countryside was beautiful and our guides Ali and Skello gave a great tour. Be sure to stop by the centuries old cotton tree by the river.
