What To Expect
Melbourne is one of the few cities in the world where it’s possible to fly over in a hot-air balloon. After arriving at the launch site, receive a safety orientation, climb aboard the sturdy basket, and prepare for liftoff. Feel the thrilling sensation of rising up into the air as a flame-powered engine releases heat into the balloon.
The exact flight path varies depending on the day’s weather conditions and wind patterns. You may fly over Melbourne’s Central Business District for a bird’s-eye perspective of the skyscrapers that line the banks of the Yarra River and sporting attractions like the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Rod Laver Arena. The spectacular views across Melbourne and the quiet. Learning a little about what’s involved with ballooning. Participation was interesting. It was also a little strenuous as a 72 year old holding up the mouth of the balloon for inflation.

I loved my Melbourne Balloon Flight at Sunrise with friends on my birthday !!! I was diagnosed with MS several years ago which impacts my mobility and requires me to walk with a cane. Thankfully, an accessible friendly option was available and the entire staff was kind, supportive and made sure that I was comfortable throughout this amazing experience!!! This was a super cool experience. We got lucky with the weather, and while it was slightly overcast, it was warm and the mistiness made for a more dramatic experience. I would just say be prepared to do some work! They expect the people on the tour to help unload and then pack up and reload the balloon and basket. Granted, it was kind of cool in the end to participate in that, but it was a bit of a surprise. The breakfast after was also very good.

An amazing experience, flying over the city as it wakes up was truly inspirational. Although this is not a cheap tour it really is worth every penny, a once in a life time thing to do . The crew were hugely professional and made you feel safe and in very good hands.

I have a bucket list of things that deal with my fear of heights. Taking a hot air balloon ride was on that list. Thinking that an aerial view of Melbourne would compliment that, I rose to the challenge. I did not handle the knowledge of hearing the actual height of the balloon so I disregarded it and looked at the view. In retrospect, I understand that the fear of facing something was harder than doing it. I am glad that we did the flight and I would recommend it to everyone.

this was definitely one of the highlights, if not THE highlight of my trip to Melbourne. I was allowed to help with the balloon! We were in the air for 90 minutes, from a breathtaking sunrise to the start of the day, circling the core city of Melbourne a few times. To experience the quietness, the majestic movement of the balloon ride and the heat of the flames was a once in a lifetime experience only that I want to do it again and again and again!. The landing was soft and smooth and I never felt safer! thank you for this amazing tour experience!

The early morning start was so very worth it! The birds eye view of the city and suburbs was breathtaking as we drifted slowly to a full a buffet breakfast at the Hilton Hotel. One grizzle was the added expense to receive photos of the experience. Supplying a "group" shot to all would have been a better souvenir than a certificate of having flown in a balloon.

What an amazing experience this balloon flight was. The crew was very knowledgeable and made us all comfortable enough to jump in and assist with the set up and tear down process. This was great fun and I met some fantastic people as well. Definitely a must do when visiting Melbourne.
