This is one of the best walking tours that we have ever done - our guide Carmel was outstanding. He gave us a great understanding of the history of Malta and showed us highlights in Mdina and Rabat and suggested other places there to explore after the tour. The tour was extremely well organised.

Very informative tour. Plenty of beautiful photo opportunities. Catacombs were really interesting a little claustrophobic with a big tour group, even 25 people.

Our guide was Matthew and he did an amazing job. This tour has a lot of history and Matthew did a wonderful job of explaining what happened and what may also have happened so many years ago. Delightful! Matthew’s engaging style kept everyone entertained throughout.

The guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his subject and the history of this amazing place. Unfortunately we had very little time to wander around Mdina after seeing Rabat and the catacombs. It would have been fine if it hadn't been raining and getting late by the time we got into Mdina (around 5:20). Be sure to plan time to spend in Mdina after or before the tour to fully appreciate the town.

Mario was an amazing guide and gave us an excellent insight into the language and history of Malta. Learning about the influence of each of the rulers and what they had left behind was very interesting. The visit to St Paul’s catacombs in Rabat left a deep impression. Without Mario’s input we would not have understood the significance of these underground passages.
In Mdina we learnt about how many of the beautiful palaces are now unoccupied - and looked out for the unique door knockers. The view from the rampart over half the island was delightful- and would have been even better if it hadn’t been raining!

We had a great tour around key areas of Rabat, the catacombs and Mdina. Matthieu was an incredibly knowledgable guide who shared a wealth of knowledge on the city and its history. We were engaged throughout and he paced the tour out very well. Definitely one that’s recommended!

The catacombs are small spaces with uneven floors so make sure you are comfortable with that as part of the experience

We had a little difficulty finding our tour guide. I wish they would tell you what color they were wearing to make it easier or have a Viator sign. Having said that, our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and was very conscience of the older people in our group. She took us to shaded spots to give her presentation. We were able to hear, but on past tours each person was given a headset so we could hear without being up close.
