Overview
Learn all about Maltese history through folklore and dance at this traditional dinner and culture show. Transport is also provided from many destinations, so you need to hassle with arranging that separately. Besides the show, you also have a 4-course dinner and unlimited wine, water, and coffee. When the folklore show finishes, you have the option to get up and show your moves on the illuminated dance floor.

SOME great food but an excellent way to try something different ... like rabbit! The host / owner / entertainer was great fun and it always amazes me that you can speak a variety of languages after a few glasses of wine. Staff were great - dancers entertaining but certainly not the highlight!

Only three dances at the end of dinner, only one seemed unique. I would have preferred more dancing, while dining, and more unique dances if possible. The last two just seemed repetitive.
I tried the horse stew just so I could taste horse meat for the first time, but was worried sine the sauce didn't seem like something I would like (wine/beer mix sauce). The meat was okay but the dish as a whole was not to my liking. It was also very heavy so I was only able to eat a few bites.
The restaurant needs to learn some 'fast food/western' techniques for serving. They served everything two plates at a time (just what they could carry in their hands rather than multiple dishes on a tray) so to serve the whole group took multiple runs by multiple servers to get us fed. They could improve this as well.
Overall an okay night but I thought it was a bit overpriced and the dancing part was a let down. I can't say I would NOT recommend this but I can't say I would either. It was okay for a thing to do at night but could stand an upgrade.

Long wait for the dancers, the van that picked us up had no air conditioning, just awful . He couldn’t speak English so he didn’t know what we were asking.

The hosting restaurant was very welcoming and food was as described . The music was fun .
Transport organised by the restaurant was a nightmare - on the minibus for an hour - very uncomfortable ride . Driver lost his way , stuffy and put me off the evening .

It took over an hour to collect about 15 people from different hotels. The driver was smoking in the van and did not seem to know the route. Other than that, we had a good experience - the food, the ambiance, the dancers were great. Some people did not wait for all in our group and took the Bolt instead. This made the drive back faster and less painful.

Food was good, entertainment entertaining. Important for solo travelers, you will be seated by yourself (I booked thinking I’d be part of a bigger table). I was thankful to be befriended by a larger group and ended up joining them for most of the evening. Otherwise it would have been very quiet and a solo experience. Prior to moving to the larger table, the staff was super friendly and chatted to me - but I did feel a bit lonely by myself. No one’s fault, I just wasn’t expecting that.

The dinner & show were very entertaining.
The four of us were uncomfortable with the transfer driver & van. He had a tire issue that was extremely noisy, there were no seatbelts, ,and he was very unprofessional. I hope you find another driver. We did not feel safe.

Family-like atmosphere. Exotic dishes local to Malta like horse meat stew (texture and taste like lamb) and also rabbit meat.
Entertainment started with guitar duo singing Maltese pieces followed by oldies favourite (thought Loui Armstrong was on stage) and followed by a local dance troupe performing for an hour. Bravo to all.

A great evening out in a lovely place - Ta' Marija. The food was good, the dance show was very lively and entertaining, led by the owner and master of ceremonies, Ben, who was clearly passionate about the place and wanted to ensure we all had a good time. My wife really enjoyed herself dancing at the end.

The food, the restaurant and the dancing were all fantastic, a really enjoyable experience. The staff were all attentive and polite, the good was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great.
However, the transport to & from the restaurant was not good - the driver got lost several times getting to the hotels for the other guests and I did not feel safe in the car with him. I was very pleased to go home in a different vehicle and with a different driver!

Experience was ruined by the driver who picked us up to take us to the dinner as provided by Viator. He drove extreme speeds, down one way streets the wrong way, argued with other drivers who got out of car to start a fight. He got lost and argued with lady on phone. We were late but thank god arrived alive. Viator needs to screen these drivers.

The unique venue, the fast and friendly service, the delcious 4 course menu, with choices, and the traditional folk dancing all contributed to a really enjoyable night. The host ensured that everyone felt welcome and got into the party mood. Efficient pick up and drop off too. We recommend this activity as something fun and different.

Dancing was amazing and hosts were superb. Lovely family run restaurant. Four courses of food. My daughter loved the food, me not so much because I’m vegetarian. Two of the four courses were meat only-that said it didn’t spoil the overall experience.

Fantastic 4 course meal of choice maltese dishes with plenty of wine and a cocktail with a secret ingredient. Great ambiance. Lovely traditional dancing showing wonderful maltese costumes. We had a wonderful explanation of each dance.

Great atmosphere, great family business, perfectly organized, absolutely recommend.
Be aware that the place serves Maltese specialties (Rabbit, Horse Meat, etc), which I found great, but might not be the perfect choice for younger children

FANTASTIC.
Most important: the food was phenomenal and there was so much of it. I felt like I needed to be rolled home at the end. If they do the squid when you go, you must opt for that. I will dream about it for months.
The manager of the restaurant was a delight - a wonderful host for the night. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly empty and we were sat with the others who had used restaurant transport. That was unexpected but despite a language barrier, my seat mates were a delight.
The music! We were treated to local guitarists who played both traditional and popular hits (Beatles, jazz, etc.), and then the manager introduced the dancers, who were beautiful and put on a stunning show. After that, the music turned to dance hits (such as Mamma Mia and It’s Raining Men and everyone was invited to the dance floor.
This was a highlight of my trip - sign up! It’a well worth the money.

Excellent night, great experience, fabulous host and staff, however the transfer left alot to be desired...the guy had a bad attitude and he drove like a maniac through narrow streets both there and back. We were scared he was going to crash!
It's a shame as we had a wonderful evening apart from that.
