Itinerary

Your morning or afternoon 4-hour tour of France’s oldest city departs from your cruise terminal. Disembark at port and meet your local guide who will help you get acquainted with the deluxe electric bike, a safe and intuitive vehicle. Fit with a small motor and optional baby seats and trailers, this modern ride allows you and your family see more sights in less time.

First, cruise to the Palais du Pharo (Napoleon's Palace), the 18th-century coastal mansion that stands like a sentinel at the entry of the Old Port. Admire the bustling waterway before heading inland to view Notre-Dame de la Garde, a Neo-Byzantine Catholic basilica that rises from Marseille’s highest point, and the Abbey of Saint Victor. Continue through the ambient Le Panier quarter, Marseille’s oldest neighborhood. Coast through picturesque lanes and under terraced houses strung with clotheslines and pass by Marseille Cathedral, a French national monument.

Next head to the Corniche du Président John F Kennedy (Corniche Kennedy) for a leisurely ride along the sun-kissed coastal road. Along the way, pedal past scenes of French life such as locals playing pétanque – a popular bocce-style game – and fishermen working in the village of Vallon des Auffes and the quaint cove Anse de Malmousque. Capture great photos and hear intriguing stories of Marseille’s long history from your savvy guide. You’ll also have a chance to stop for refreshments (own expense) before returning to the port to re-board your ship.

The e-bike Tour in Marseille on Sept 2 2025 was a wonderful way to see all the highlights of Marseille both north and south in a short time. Our guide Stephan was very knowledgeable about the history and legends of the city. He surprised us with a stop at chocolate shop where we had a delicious tasting. It was our first time riding e-bikes but we felt comfortable and secure with Stephan as our leader. We highly recommend Stephan as a guide and look forward to riding e-bikes again!

From the very beginning, our experience was excellent. They contacted us a day before to confirm the meeting point and maintained great communication throughout. The excursion was fantastic—a wonderful way to see all the important places in Marseille. Our guide Manu was superb, informative, and very pleasant. We had a wonderful time on the electric bikes overall and strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore Marseille in a short time and learn about the city.

We had a fun time and our guide was excellent. The only issue I had was that I'm very short and the smallest bicycle they had for me was still a little too large and it was difficult to push off, there were some areas on our tour where it was more helpful to use a curb to push off. The sites were wonderful, but the areas were very crowded and we constantly had to maneuver around people.

What an amazing day. The port pick up and drop off was a huge bonus that saved us 20 Euro in shuttle bus fees. Raphy was a fantastic private tour guide and we loved spending the morning together. Raphy's knowledge and passion for the city was outstanding and she really made an effort to personalise the tour for us. We really enjoyed seeing the little parts of Marseille that you would never see in a bus or car. We would highly recommend this tour.

Thanks to the weather being a little blustery on the day, my wife and I really lucked out in getting an afternoon tour for just us with Emmanuel, the owner! Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about showing us around his home city, he was also very helpful and patient with me having to get used to an e-bike for the first time. Pick-up and drop-off at our cruise dock were on time, and we were able to fit in some chocolate tasting and a beer overlooking the harbor during our tour too! Would definitely recommend!

Easy to ride and enjoy the city

After days of taking walking tours around Europe, this tour is what we needed with E-bikes. The bikes were easy to ride and navigate through the city streets. Our tour guide, Maria, was wonderful and informative. We saw most of the main sites to see in Marseille and also made a stop at a chocolate shop for a tasting, yum! We only had one problem as one of the bikes would shut down randomly. Maria offered her bike to exchange, but we were almost done so we dealt with it. As for the previous review by John, we were the 6 people that were also picked up at the port and we had no problems.

Our guide never showed up. Our assigned meeting time was 9:30 in the Marseilles cruise terminal. We were in the terminal from 9:15-10:00 and the guide never showed. We tried calling the number we had in the tour email and were unable to get through. The guide claims to have been in the port, but they definitely weren’t by our ship, which was where we agreed to meet. We reached out to Viator for a refund since we were unable to go on the ride. They declined the request and said they’re unable to help. I would recommend booking through someone else and avoiding Viator. Due to their lack of customer service, we will be booking elsewhere in the future.

We are sorry you missed our driver, he was there from 9:35 to 9:45 and no one showed up, nor called. We where there not only for you and others 6 people can attest you where not at the meeting place specified. Next time for a tour : Please ask someone on the pier to call local supplier number Do not wait the day after to ask a just a refund like you did but try to reach asap your supplier to try to find a solution on the day. We always do our best to brighten your day, so don't let it go and ask for a refund, it doesn't work that way with us. Sorry.

We had a private bike tour for a few wonderful hours.... all over Marseilles ! It was perfect in every way . Isabel was an amazing tour guide who showed so many highlights of the city , including breathtaking views. She was sooo patient with our questions, and our sometimes having to stop our bikes for various reasons. We felt like we were with a good friend all day with her. Cannot recommend the company and the tour enough !!! 5 star !

The bike ride was incredible to see the town and its beauty on a bike versus a bus or walking. We were able to experience the culture and sights within a four time frame. Our guide was pleasant and was able to modify the tour to our needs. I highly recommend this tour. The electric bicycle make the challenging hills possible for any age and physical condition.

This was one of the highlights of our week. I don't know the exact name of our guide - I think Kimre - she was absolutely wonderful. We loved learning about the passion she has for Marseille. She was great explaining things to us as well as our 17 and 18 year old boys. I would absolutely do this type of a tour again in any other city. We really loved seeing this city on bike as well as stopping for a few local bites to eat. Excellent job!

This was the highlight of my 10 days trip to Europe this year. Our tour guide Emmanuel Manu from E Bike was super and funny. The ride was excellent and the electric bike was so helpful and fun. Marseille is so beautiful and the best seafood that I ever ate. I will definitely come back and stay longer and will take a full day tour to Calanques on electric bike. Make sure to stop by Cafe Des Arts for coffee, my best cafe au lait so far.

We absolutely loved this tour! We did this tour in the middle of a seven day cruise. The tour company was right on time and picked us up right from the ship! There were several other groups from our ship that also took the same tour but we were broken up by group so it was pretty much like having a private tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and super friendly. The tour was SO MUCH FUN and a welcome break from the regular old fashioned tour where you are in a bus or van all day. The bikes were easy to operate and super fun. I would definitely recommend taking this tour if you find yourself in Marseille!

The Ebike company and Tour sites are great, but be advised if you are not accustomed to ride bikes in traffic. Over 70 of the tour you drive your bike in actual traffic, which could be stressfull if you are not accustomed to it.

One of my favorite tours and a great way to see the sites, but also the back roads of the city. These electric bikes are so much fun - you can go virtually anywhere. Our guide took us to some beautiful scenic locations as well as up the hill to Notre Dame. We arranged a private tour so it would be just our small group which made it even more fun. One of the bike chains broke during the tour but was quickly fixed. A wonderful tour - would highly recommend.

We cannot say enough about this tour. We were met at the cruise ship and driven to the location of the bikes. We had a lovely women, Mia escort us on the tour. The area is very hilly and I am not sure we could have done it on regular bikes. The electric bikes gave us the push when needed. She took us to small areas that we would not have seen on a big tour. The private tour is definitely the way to go!
