Had a really enjoyable day with all our wished-for places visited. There is a 6yr old with us as well as seniors. The needs were varied but Gilles was very accommodating so we were able to explore the calisson factory (grandchild's fave activity for the day) and the scenic Cassis and Calanque lookout for the oldies. Then he took us to the Notre Dame top where we enjoyed 360 degree view of Marseille, ending the day with a drop off at the Illusions place in Marseille for the younger set and at the closest parking spot to the boat at the port for the oldies. Gilles curated a lovely day consisting of a brief stop in Aix en Provence and a fantastic tour of Cassis and the surrounding area. We hiked along the cliffs which was amazing, then spent a couple of hours in the lovely town of Cassis where we ate lunch at a great restaurant on the beach and wandered around the charming town. We had a great day and Gilles was a good guide! Highly recommend!

Paid over $900 for the “tour” only to be picked up by a taxi driver and dropped off at each location. There was no tour. Taxi driver told us Gilles had another group of 6 for his van so he set us up with him? Taxi driver was kind but was no tour guide worth paying $900 for. I wrote to Viator and they state that Gilles had vehicle troubles which is why he set us up with the taxi. Totally a lie. They denied any sort of refund because they said I did not contact the tour operator when this occurred and because we tipped the taxi driver. It was not the taxi drivers fault Gilles double booked himself, why would we not pay him for his services?

First of all, I want to tell you that I pay great attention to service and customer relations.
The van that was supposed to transport you had an engine problem the day before your visit. So as not to inconvenience you and cancel at the last minute, I decided to book you a new Tesla with a professional and experienced driver, Thomas. He contacted you, explained the problem, and you decided to take the tour with the driver and his vehicle. The driver adapted to your requests, and everything went very well on board and throughout the day. You even left him a tip, and I thank you for that. At no time did you contact me to inform me of any problem, yet the driver even introduced us to Cap Canaille in Cassis because I was also visiting with other customers. The next day, you want a refund! This is inappropriate. You are using a full-day service and you want a full refund. If the vehicle does not suit you, you could simply cancel the visit before departure because you had been informed in advance. At that point, I would have refunded you in full without any problem and that is normal.

Mr. Gilles was wonderful - he was caring and trustworthy. He allowed us to modify our tour as needed, based on my family’s needs throughout the course of the day. We visited beautiful Aux-en Provence, Cassis and Marseilles, which were all beautiful but Cassis was particularly busy with tourists on holiday and the local vendors and restaurant owners were not as helpful there. Wonderful tour and HIGHLY recommend!

Gilles was amazing! We were able to go to several places we couldn't have done with limited cruise excursions, or done on our own- we were able to see Aix en Provence, Cassis, AND a few places in Marseille. Gilles knew where to go and gave us time to enjoy each area. We saw SO much but didn't feel rushed. He was able to meet our ship, which saved a lot of time on commuting from ship to town. He even met us with a fresh croissant! He knew many people along the way, and knew the best views and places to go. It was such a great day and so worth it!

We had the most amazing experience with Gilles! He was a wonderful tour guide taking us from our ship to Cassis and Aux en Provence. We stopped at a winery, the most picturesque lookouts, & enjoyed lunch at an excellent restaurant. He ensured we returned to our ship with plenty of time. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing tour that packs in so many highlights into just one day. My family of four was staying only two nights in Marseille and this tour helped us make the very most of our time. We started in the morning seeing the top four attractions in Marseille and enjoyed amazing views of the city and surrounding area. In late morning we headed to Aix where we walked the quaint streets visiting shops and stores and finishing up with a cappuccino at a lovely street side cafe. In the afternoon we headed to the sea side town of Cassis. On the way we’re visited the Calanques National Park, driving to the highest point to enjoy the overlook with Cassis and the Mediterranean Sea below. It was truly amazing! We took photos of our family with the breathtaking scenery behind and below. We finished our day with a stroll through Cassis enjoying a wonderful meal in one of the many restaurants that line the marina. Cassis is a magical town which surprised with its delightful streets and boat filled marina at it center. We finished our day with delicious gelato treats. Our driver Giles was a wonderful guide who provided us with a truly memorable day in his comfortable Mercedes van. We have used Viator many times over the years and this is one of our best tours ever and one we will definitely remember. Thank you Giles!
