There is no tour guide on this tour just a driver who did not speak English. All he told us was the time we needed to get back to the van which was printed on a piece of paper which he showed us each time before we went down the van. He was very punctual though and a safe driver. The itinerary was followed completely. We started at exactly 9:30 am from Spuerkess and was back at the same spot at exactly 5:30 pm. Everyone was punctual so no time was wasted and the itinerary happened as planned. Highly recommended

We knew we wanted to see Vianden Castle while we were in Luxembourg but were on the fence about getting there via public transit versus taking this tour. We are so happy we chose the tour!!! Not only did we get to see Vianden, we got to experience the beautiful ruins of Beaufort, see some of Luxembourg’s natural beauty on the Mullerthal trail, and learn more about Luxembourg’s history in Echternach.
I can’t speak highly enough about our driver and guides. Ali, our driver, was so friendly and made sure to take us to the most scenic views on the route. Both of our tour guides, Patrick and Nicole, were knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about their country and culture. We learned so much!
Worth every penny, if you’re staying in Luxembourg City and want to see Vianden this tour is a must do!

This was a good way to get out of the city and explore more of Luxembourg.
The nature walk was lovely, Patrick was fab and I was sad he was with us for such a short time. The two castles were nice to explore and impressive in their own way. What was a real bonus was being in Vianden for the annual walnut festival! We’d known this before going and therefore whizzed round the castle, to spend most of our time soaking up the atmosphere (and the nut liquor!) in the town. We think it’s a shame that the driver didn’t know this event was happening and therefore didnt alert other guests to what was happening-the nut festival was even mentioned on the audio guide so this feels like a real miss.
We could had done without the final stop-maybe it was because it was a Sunday but there was very little to do apart from sit and have a drink. We’d have much rather spent longer in Vianden, but I appreciate the festival only happens once a year.

I wish I could split the rating into two parts. I would give Patrick and the brief nature part higher. I wished it would have been slightly longer as it was rushed but I enjoyed thoroughly.
The rest of the tour was ok. One challenge was our “tour guide”/driver did not speak English and everyone on the tour spoke English and not French.
He was a very nice gentleman, and there was a few paragraphs over an audio guide but much of the driving was in complete silence and when we arrived at castles, there was no guide but just “on your own” time at each location with confusion by all guests as what to do with our time. Since we all finished the castle in 30-40 minutes and unsure what to do with the full two hours at the stop.
So for the price, just expect that it is an all day uber with a decent mini-tour of the nature walk.

Each of the activities were fine, especially enjoyed the hike to the waterfall guided by Patrick. The rest of the day was self-guided; our main driver didn’t speak English and his only contribution besides driving was to hold up a sign to let us know when to return to the bus. Sadly we paid for a trip with 10 people maximum and there were 19 (one no-show). Not a great value for the $ - I would just take public transportation.

Improvements
- Maybe if the tour itself can give complimentary bottled water, that would be great.
- Adding Tour Guide on van would potentially help smooth quick transfer between events
- Longer time to the locations as in some cases the time was not long enough

- The Tour itself was great choices for the whole day
- The Tour guides was phenomenal, both Patrick & Nicole was knowledgeable of their subject and have that charismatic sense of humor
- Having a driver that is not rushing and very safe on the road is definately a plus.

An overall tour of the outside areas of Luxembourg, which would be otherwise inaccessible by public transport. Because of this tour only I was able to cover all these areas in 1 day. Our tour guide cum driver was very polite and helpful and gave us compact guidance about the tour. They even had small guided tours of 45 minutes in Echternacht and Mullethral. An overall enjoyable day trip.

The tour operator did exactly what they were supposed to do and ran a good operation- friendly, timely etc. The locations themselves though are just not something I would do again or recommend. Echternach and Beaufort were nice. Vianden is beautiful from afar but completely costumed / carnival / super touristy vibes inside. A let down considering it was the main attraction for the tour.

This was a great day trip from Luxembourg City. The pickup location was easy. The driver kept us informed of the times. The amount time at each stop was perfect. The waterfall, 2 castles and the town tour were all excellent. We didn't feel rushed and felt like we got a more detailed experience of Luxembourg besides just visiting the old town area of Luxembourg. Highly recommended.

The tour guides showing different areas were excellent and the castles were beautiful. The sights are worth it! However, our group was a strange one. An incredibly narcissistic woman was loud, disruptive, and disrespectful which made it hard to hear the tour guides. She convinced the others in our group to get a cup of coffee at the end of the day (which was not part of the tour) and caused our bus driver to be late returning into town.

A full day of interesting stops and sampling of Luxembourg’s interesting history and culture. The vehicle is a 19 passenger Mercedes Sprinter van with GPS synched audio of sites. We only had three onboard, so very comfortable. The front two row views are partially obscured by advertising stenciling on the windows.

What we visited was fantastic! However I would give it a 3.5 for the following reasons:
1. IMO our driver was extremely aggressive. I realize she may drive this route frequently, however, she can’t account for other drivers. - 1 star
2. No local guide at our last stop. -.5 star

Good day trip to explore Schéissendëmpel Waterfall, Medieval Castle Beaufort, Vianden and Echternach. I would have like additional 2 hours in order to have more time at the mentioned location. Overall a very good tour with different guides explaining things.

It was a snowy day, so our tour was shorter- unable to climb on the rocks- I did have a little difficulty knowing we’re to meet the group- I included a photo of the area of the meet up spot. It was nice to have convenient transportation, but was pricey. Our driver provided no information of sites or culture.

Hiking to waterfall. Two castles. Small old towns. Perfect!
My only complaint (if I have to). There was not enough time in Viaden. They should skip the frost castle and give us more time in Viaden to visit the town. AND more time in Erchenech wohld be great too.

This tour was not as advertised. It was more public transportation with entrance to 2 castles instead of a tour. On the day of our tour, as we were departing the meeting point to begin we were informed that the tour guide for both the Schiessentumpel and Ecthernach was sick or had an accident, either way not available. Apparently, there is no back up plan for this kind of thing happening because in both places we were just dropped off and told when to return to the van. The driver was very good, but did not speak English, so was unable to communicate what there was to see/do in 2 out of the 4 stops, where we SHOULD have had a tour guide. We were just shown a piece of paper with a time to return to the van. It is quite disappointing to book a tour and then not actually have a tour, and the company did not produce a new tour guide nor did they offer a partial refund for the tour they didn’t provide. I’m very disappointed in this non-tour and do not recommend to anyone. The van had large glass windows on the sides and the entire top of the van which was quite neat and nice in the morning, but was an absolute greenhouse with sweltering temperatures in the afternoon, we were visiting in mid-May, so I can’t imagine in the height of summer. The castles were both nice and we did explore them on our own with the provided ticket. If you are just looking for transportation than this is not a bad way to see the country, but if you want a tour, I recommend looking elsewhere. There was an audio guide on the van, which spoke about 10-15% of total ride time.

In these cases, there's not much we can do. Concerning the sweltering temperatures, the van has an A/C system. However, in these kind of situations, we need to take into account that not every person wants the ventilation switched On. The places were beautiful. But there was only a guide at the hike. There was only a driver for the tour, no guide overall. The driver only spoke French and used cars for instructions in English.The directions we confusing and not service oriented. Not a great value for the money.

How the driver spoke no English but was very nice. and one of the local guides called in sick. the audio didn’t match where you were driving but the upside is the countryside was very pretty.

The guide is the one who is directly in contact with customers, and therefore English-speaker. Regarding the audio guide, this is not something that happens usually. Good opportunity to see the country of Luxembourg, as opposed to the city. However the passengers booked an English speaking tour, but the driver spoke no English. We had very occasional on board audio information, which was very inadequate. One of the English speaking local guides at a town we visited had to inform the driver that passengers needed to visit the toilet. We could not ask the driver anything as she couldn't understand.

It is not mentioned anywhere that the tour will be in one specific language, English in this case, as it is not a guided tour. it was disappointing that the bus dropped us off so far from the entrance to the Vianden castle and the chair lifts were not working so it's quite a hike to get up there. We weren't able to do it. The walking tour of Echternach was wonderful and overall we're happy we joined the tour. It was a great way to see some highlights of Luxembourg in one day.

I want to start by saying, the sites that we visited were beautiful, and Mark and Gaby our guides for the day were great!
Onto the not so good things:
- the driver was non-English speaking. Not her fault obviously, but it made things difficult not getting an introduction or information on the days agenda etc
- we were handed headphones with no explanation, turns out they were for an audio tour which you could listen to along the way - except mine didn’t work, so I had to get my info from Google!
- constant stopping along the roadside, and very fast driving, especially around corners, made the time in the vehicle unpleasant.
- we drove past Vianden castle, and were dropped a fair way away with no explanation as to how to get back there or which direction to head. No recommendations on lunch as the driver couldn’t speak any English!
- due to the distance parked, and the limited time, you could either fit in both a very very rushed lunch and a short castle visit, or a longer time in one or the other.
- no indication of cash only for water on the bus, or at the first couple of stops, so I wasn’t able to get a drink of water until nearly 1pm, after starting at 9:30am.
Would not recommend this tour. Hire a car and go yourself, no need to pay €80 for a seat on a minibus for a day.

However, it is important to emphasize the fact that the bus tour is not with a live guide, but indeed with an audio guide that gives you the explanations - in 3 languages. The technical aspect of the headphones is not something we can control, it can happen that some fail which shows that there is a production defect. In these cases, we recommend the clients to ask for a new pair of headphones.

Loved every stop. Each was unique in its own way. Nice way to spend the day out of the busy city and learn some Luxembourg history.
Everyone on our bus spoke English except the driver - which at times was complicated.

Pros: Nice variety of activities. Loved the guides for the two locations that had them.
Cons: Driver/audio narration was not very informative. Transport up to Vianden castle was sporadic (wasted much of our limited time).
Hot day, bus was stifling. Rear air conditioner was only on part of the time. At least provide more access to water.
