Amazing experience!! Will do it again. Our guide, Francisco was extremely personable, and knowledgeable and shared alot of history and fun facts of El Yunque! We had a small group of 7 (2 families) and it was perfect! My niece who was afraid of heights had a little anxiety about the rope and platform jumps and he was kind, patient and guided her an alternative way. We really appreciated his kindness. I must say that some level of physical fitness is required, which of course they mention in the description, and yes it's true!! Highly recommend this excursion!!

This was a lot of fun, but not a moderate tour. It was a challenging hike up the mountain, especially since it was wet and muddy. We also crossed a river several times and climbed up wet rocks. Our tour guide was excellent and helped every step of the way. He also shared information about the rainforest plants, climate, etc. I recommend this tour but hope they change the level of challenge.

Our tour got rescheduled twice due to heavy rainfall and flash flooding conditions, and we're genuinely glad it did. The operator prioritized safety over getting every booking out the door, and that speaks well of them. The day we ultimately went on was perfect.
We met our guide Diego at Frutera Flores in Luquillo. Pro tip: get there a little early and grab an acai bowl. They're excellent.
Diego was an outstanding guide. He clearly loves the rainforest and shared fascinating facts about the flora along the way, pointing out things we never would have noticed on our own. We had our 7 and 10 year old and he was patient but firm with them, which we appreciated. The hike itself is not super easy. There's mud, wet terrain, and some challenging climbing, but it's very manageable with the right footwear. Closed-toe shoes with good grip are the move. Keens for the kids and Tevas with good traction worked great for us.
The waterfall and natural rock slide were both incredible. The climbing to get there felt challenging but safe because Diego was right there with us. We also can't stress enough how much it mattered that we had a small group, just 8 people total across two families. Other groups we saw had 20 or more people. The difference was significant. We moved faster, could actually hear Diego when he was explaining things, and the overall experience felt personal rather than rushed.
If you're debating between a large group tour and this one, choose this one. Ask for Diego.

Nelson was an excellent guide - we had a wonderful experience from pickup to dropoff. We enjoyed the hike and were well cared for while traversing rivers and muddy terrain. Definitely a fun spot to rope swing or jump in the water. Thank you for the great pictures and great memories!!

Be prepared to hike!!
Beautiful and serene rain forest with waterfalls, steep hills, and a natural water slide.
Our guide, Frances, was amazing. He knows the park like the back of his hand, and stopped to point out amazing flora and fauna.
I was a bit older than some of the other folks in the group, but Frances made sure my travel buddy and I were well taken care of!
I can’t recommend the tour enough. Frances is an amazing guide and human being and I highly recommend him!

The tour was excellent and our guides Francis and Justin were excellent, giving us lot of tips on trekking the rainforest, and details of history, nature and what to lookout for! They took us to the water slides, jumps from cliff into pools and helped us along a moderately difficult trek by boosting us and practically helping us along the way. Would definitely recommend them!

We had the most incredible time on this rainforest tour! From start to finish, it was the perfect mix of adventure and natural beauty. The water slides were so much fun and felt like something out of a movie, and the cliff jumping was such an exciting (but safe!) thrill. The rope jump into the water was definitely a highlight.
Our guide, Tristan, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, encouraging, and made sure everyone felt comfortable.
And the fresh fruit at the end? Absolutely delicious and so refreshing after all the adventure! It was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable experience.

The hike was an amazing immersive experience! We trekked through water, mud, tree roots, and rocks to finish at the small waterfall at the end where you can slide down it! During the trek, we saw the lush foliage and the pristine flowing water!
It was an unforgettable experience that every nature lover should do!
PS - bring shoes you don’t mind getting wet and muddy!

Great, positive, and experienced guides and well organized excursion! Even before the trip started we received guidance to wear shoes with traction and also were told to expect everything we wore to get drenched. Our excellent guides Rene and Sebas made the tour enjoyable and safe at the same time. They clearly communicated changes in the terrain as the hike and later the climb progreased. Because by the river the terrain is wet and rocky they gave us key advice to avoid slipping and were hands on in guiding us and making sure as we climbed to lend us a hand when the terrain was more challenging. One guide was in front guiding the way and the other guide was in the midst of the group to make sure everyone was progressing well. My 5 year old sometimes needed extra help climbing and they were able to anticipate when we might need more help with her during steeper areas of the climb to the natural waterslides or areas of the river that had a stronger current. They also took wonderful photos and videos of us going down the waterslides and sent them to us after. Would highly recommend this tour and I will be looking for other tours by Tranki tours given how well run and enjoyable this tour was. Recommend without reservation to anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the rainforest and natural water slides with an experienced team.

Ok, this tour is not for the faint of heart. You will be walking on pebbles and stones that are very slippery as well as climbing over boulders, larger stones, and going through water, which is also slippery. You’ll be climbing steep stairs as well. I cannot stress enough to have supportive water shoes to wear on this adventure. Also, don’t wear anything that you don’t want ruined. Both my husband and I sustained many scratches on our legs from this tour. We are both in our mid 50s and generally not very active though.

Sebas our tour guide was excellent very easy-going. It took a little while to pick everyone up, meet the other people from the Tour annd ultimately get to the rainforest but once we did, it was fantastic. Highly recommend it.

Our travel was canceled apparently due to heavy rainfall from prior days and flooded the path. We’re disappointed as we’re excited for the tour and see the rainforest but it got canceled. They refunded us our fees. Anyways when we found out that our rainforest hiking were canceled, we arranged a last minute tour through our cruise excursion and went into the rainforest and we didn’t see any flooding and the day is perfect.

The forest is huge, covering about 7 cities in Puerto Rico. If we refunded you due to flooding in one part of the forest, that does not negate the fact that other parts can have better weather conditions.
Keeping that in mind, that also doesn’t mean we can host the same excursion in any part of the forest either, there is no other location in the forest that offers the same experience that we offer, with the type of slides, rocks jumps, and rope swing where we host our excursion.
so if we cancel plus give a FULL REFUND WITH NOTICE it’s within good reason.

Sebas was the best tour guide ever!! He took us to all the best places avoiding the crowds. He helped us and encouraged us every step of the way. Even took pictures and videos us us while going down the slides, jumping off the cliff, exploring, etc. El yunque us amazing. Seems straight out of a movie. We had a fantastic time.

Great experience. So glad I paid a little extra to get picked up and dropped off since the drive there and back has narrow roads and quite curvy. Also, our tour guide, Sebas, was so helpful throughout the hike and made the experience very safe, enjoyable and unforgettable.
