My friend and I absolutely loved the class. Our guide was super informative and very nice. The shop was so cute and quaint! We love the smell of our candles we made and loved how we could paint our boxes as well!

Amazing hospitality and personalised experience. I enjoyed the time with my host, instructor and the manager of the place greatly. When you take part in this activity you are also supporting a woman-owned small business that is empowering other women, uplifting the community and caring for the land.

Gai was simply lovely! She was friendly and very very kind. She went above and beyond to make the experience special. This was truly lovely, you get to create a personal scent and make a candle, that’s a very special souvenir that will remind me of Laos! Absolutely loved it!!! Gai also was very friendly, picked me up, dropped me off and also showed me spots in the town that I wouldn’t have known otherwise! Absolutely loved it!!! Thank you so much for your kindness!!! :)

Fun, calming experience that exceeded my expectations

The candle making class was fantastic. There was a very peaceful and serene atmosphere right from the beginning- the facilities are new and clean, with nice garden views and air conditioning to keep out the heat. Lee was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the whole process very clearly and was happy to spend time helping us get the mix of scents just right. I was impressed by how sophisticated the scent mixing and candle making process was, compared to other classes I have been to where there is limited guidance on how to do this correctly. Making the tea was a really fun addition, and it was nice that we got to mix up different types of tea to make our own flavour. I would recommend this class to groups and solo travellers alike.

A peaceful oasis

This was a real highlight of our trip to Luang Prabang. Mr Lee was the perfect host, informative, relaxed, funny and diplomatic in his scent responses. The air conditioning, peaceful music, very clean and serene environment made the perfect backdrop for such an enjoyable morning creating our own individual signature scent, and being guided through the science and art of candle making. As they set, we were shown how to wash, open and steep our own choice of tea blends. Mr Lee picked fresh flowers from the garden to adorn our plate - which was such a beautiful touch. I could not recommend this experience more highly 🙂💕💛

This was such an amazing experience! It was wonderful, not only to spend time mixing smells, and learning about candle making, but also to learn about Lao culture through this process. The staff are so friendly and kind :) they made the process very relaxing and comfortable, even as a solo traveler. Additionally, the products are well sourced and give back to other Lao businesses, making it a wonderful community-contributing experience. Highly recommend!
