Had a fantastic day exploring the Troodos Mountains with our guide, Chris. He was funny, patient, and really made the trip enjoyable for everyone, even with a mix of languages and backgrounds in the group.
We managed to visit around half a dozen beautiful spots, and the day was well-paced so we could make the most of our time. The commentary on the bus was interesting and I actually learned a lot about Cyprus, which was a lovely bonus.
Highly recommend this tour – I’ve already booked another one and can’t wait!

It was such a memorable day! You took us to places that would have been hard for us to visit on our own, and we were able to explore charming villages and monastery efficiently. At the winery, we enjoyed tasting a wide variety of wines.
I was traveling with my mother, who isn’t very used to traveling abroad, but thanks to this tour and the very kind guide, both of us truly enjoyed the experience from the bottom of our hearts.

A most enjoyable excursion which included a seasonal joy of snow on the higher sections of the tour. The mountains of Troodos are spectacular and having Socrates as our tour guide made it all the more enjoyable, he being both a very safe driver and knowledgable guide. With the variety of villages, mountains, the most famous Cyprus monastery and wine tasting, it was, in retrospect, the most overall enjoyable of our holiday.

We had a great time on this trip and Chris the guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. We were picked up from and returned to our hotel even though it was not a designated pick up location which was very helpful. We were in a very clean vehicle and with only 2 other people which was great. As it is only January all the destinations were not crowded and therefore we could explore at our leisure it was however very cold so take appropriate clothing if going up the mountains in winter!! The food at the designated lunch stop was ok but but not great but overall this was a great trip and very good value for money!

Chris, our guide and driver, shared interesting and useful insights about Cyprus history and local places to visit in a clear and engaging way, with a good sense of humour. Safe and confident driver.The music during the drive was a nice touch. We visited beautiful monasteries and churches, enjoyed incredible views of the Troodos Mountains, fascinating historical sites and a lovely wine tasting. Hotel pickup and return were right on time.

Beautiful natural landscape and charming villages with a helpful and very informative guide, who drove very carefully for a travel sick passenger. Tour was exceptional, only let down by the lunch stop. Restaurant food could have been much better. Although staff were friendly and helpful.

A very full day with lots of great places included in the tour. Chris, our driver and guide, was very informative. The highlight was the amazing church at the Kykkos Monastery.

The Troodos mountain trip was well planned and easy to follow within the given time frame. Our driver and guide, Chris, handled the winding roads confidently and shared a good general overview of Cyprus—its history, vegetation, wildlife, and the background of the monuments we visited. He didn’t go into very detailed explanations, but he was witty, engaging, and kept the group entertained.
The only drawback was the winery stop. There was no tour of the facility—just a table for tastings—and the wines didn’t appeal to most of us. The organizers should reconsider this part of the itinerary.
Lunch was on the expensive side, but the food was tasty, and sitting together as a group made it enjoyable. We had great conversations and got to know people from different countries and cultures.
Overall, a pleasant and well-organized trip with a fun guide, though the winery experience could be improved.

Due to hot season, the mountain tour is a good way to relax and tour some historic sites. Tour guide has allocated and provided sufficient time for each stop over and attractions. It was a small group. Save the efforts to drive on own.

This trip was well worth it. Our driver Nicholas was very knowledgeable and friendly. The transport was comfy and cool. Thelunch stop was freat value and lovely food. There were regular stops for comfort breaks too.We were part of a small group, about 12. Everyone one got on so well, we were all friends by the end of the trip. If we gone by ourselves we would have missed so much

A full day tour of the mountains in a comfortable, air conditioned mini bus. The natural views were spectacular, and really only accessible through a tour like this if you don’t drive. Laneia village, Kykkos monastery and the stop at the peak of the highest mountain to see a stunning view of the entire island were truly worth it. Some of the other stops, like the winery and Omodos, not so much…

The main benefit of the tour was that we were able to sit back and enjoy the views. (It would have been hard to focus on the mountain views while driving.) The guide was knowledgeable. We found some stops more interesting than others. The wine tasting was a bit disappointing, and the lunch restaurant was not very good. We enjoyed the village of Laneia as well as the Kykkos Monastery and Throni Shrine.

What a way to spend an incredibly nice day exploring Cyprus by way of the Troudos Mountain villages in a small group. Ascot Travel and Chris with whom we did 3 tours while on the island was excellent! He got us safely around all the curves and swerves of the mountain range and to some delightful little village stops. The monasteries were incredibly moving especially the two at mountain top including one still operational with the monks. The mountain side lunch stop with expertly filleted fresh trout was a very nice treat. All in all a great day trip would highly recommend as well as Ascot Tours! Ask for Chris by name as he provided so much more than a regular tour guide but real life examples of Cyprus. You will definitely have memories to last a lifetime

The itinerary was great, loved visiting the mountain villages, the square with the shops selling traditional products, the drive through the mountains and the views. The monastery was special. A very spiritual place. A place to be still and quiet.
The day would not have been as pleasant if it were not for the guide Michalis and the driver Christos who apart from being friendly and knowledgeable went above and beyond to accommodate any needs. So grateful to them!

Booked online. Our pickup was on time. Comfortable, modern air-conditioned minibus. Our guide was a careful driver, informative and helpful. The tour followed the itinerary exactly. It would have been great to squeeze in one of the painted churches too, but the monastery was impressive.

Great excursion to the Troodos Mountains. The tour leads you to varied places and is well organized. Personally I found the Kykkos Monastery particularly fascinating. Would have liked to spend more time there. Sokrates is a great driver and guide - very pleasant and considerate. I enjoyed our conversations.
