We had such a blast doing the land sailing excursion. Turned out to be our favorite all week! Ahmed Elsayed kept up with our party of 7. The only thing I would recommend is wear pants and goggles would’ve been better than sunglasses. Would highly recommend this excursion!

I really enjoyed this, but have lots of experience of dinghy sailing. If you haven’t sailed before I would suggest doing some reading of the principles beforehand because 5 minutes of tuition isn’t sufficient. Also wear long trousers & tops, you may capsize & you need protection as the ground is harder than water! Also I suggest old clothes as you’re sitting in a mesh seat, so if the salt flats are damp you’ll get covered with splatter from the wheels. Finally, if you’re using the providers transport from the cruise port, there is an extra 20 Euros charge per car load. This information is hidden away on the PDF ticket, but Viator are supposed to be putting it somewhere more obvious so others don’t miss it like we did!

We had a marvelous time! Our guide taught us the basics before we started. He helped us as we needed it. He took photos and video of us as we played. Sand sailing is an unforgettable thrill!

This was an awesome experience and we had a lot of fun!!!! Our guide (Demetrius) was very nice and helpful. A must do if you have an adventurous group! Mom (me) took it slow, but our college aged kids got up to 35pmh!

Difficult to find. The track you go down goes on forever & we couldn't find it from the details given on Viator but luckily he WhatsApp me with directions. But once we got there it was great especially after Dmitriy changed to larger sails for us. You go quite fast when you catch the wind but the instructions we were given made it easy to control. We both enjoyed it.

Absolutely loved the land sailing experience in Cyprus! The instructor was fantastic—super friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything so clearly that I picked it up right away. I had never tried it before, but within minutes I was confidently sailing across the dry lake. It was such a fun and unique activity, with just the right mix of adrenaline and ease. If you’re looking for something exciting and different to do in Cyprus, I highly recommend giving this a try!

Really quick and easy to arrange and great communication from organisers!
The location was perfect with great views and Dima our instructor was very knowledgeable and a great teacher as our whole group of 3 who were all beginners were off in no time!
I had so much fun! I would highly recommend!

Dima explained how to drive and how to use the wind, and you are ready to roll!

They were highly responsive with directions and our guide even took photos and videos of us without us having to ask! That was a nice bonus for us. I was there with my brother, neice, nephew and my best friend and our guide ran around to make sure he captured all of us. It was a lot of fun and is not available in our area at home- would recommend it

Peter was patient and helpful. We had a great time learning how to land sail, especially on a day where laying by the pool or swimming at the beach was not an option.

I recommend it to anyone who likes to release a bit of adrenaline. Peter gave us a short introduction and off we went. Every now and then he would climb into our cars if someone had problems. The time went by far too quickly. It remains an unforgettable memory.

I highly recommend Land Sailing with Peter and his team if you are looking for something new to do or an activity in Limassol. This is great for all ages and very easy to learn and super fun. I would suggest bringing/wearing a sports mask or bandana to cover part of your face because of the dirt. I did the transfer pick up from the mall since it was easier.

Totally fun, thrilling unique experience. The guides are AMAZING and explain how to use the equipment on great detail. The whole family ages 10 to 60s had an absolutely blast! These are the kind of memories you want to have on a truly memorable vacation! Definitely go!

Absolutely great fun! Not hard to learn, as the instruction provided is very clear. About on hour of zipping around salt flats. Close to town and port. They were able to provide pickup and dropoff for $20. Wear sunblock or maybe better long sleeves and pants. Sunglasses or goggles would also be handy to help with wind and dust. Helmets and gloves provided. Even 11 year old had no problem learning, although for this age they recommend double cart.

This was an awesome experience. We did this while we were in port on a cruise and this was a perfect activity for our family (me, wife, 11 yr old and 9 yr old boys). The kids absolutely loved it. Peter and his wife were great with instruction and with coming out to help us as we were zipping about. After a couple of days of historic tours, the kids were ready for something a little more adventurous and this satisfied everyone. Very close to port and Peter was helpful in arranging pick up and drop off. I would recommend to anyone visiting Limassol.

Peter is not only very friendly but also makes sure everyone feels comfortable. He even joins on the kart to give an extra on the go instruction if you are really a total starter, like me. The karts go quite fast - if you want, as this is a harder ground cover.

Incredible!!! This was the highlight of our three days in Limassol aboard The World! Don't be scared...Peter is detailed in his training and once you sit in it and tug the sail a bit, you are off to the races. Zoom around the salt flats at blazing speed...about double the wind speed. We were going as fast as 35MPH. It's not scary...PROMISE! Do it...you wont regret it!

Didn't initially though this was going to be fun, but oh man I was very wrong. I had such a great time land sailing at Lamissol Salt Lake. Peter, who operates this company was such a great and easy going guy. Explained everything in detail and ensured that I understood the mechanics and safe. I couldn't be more satisfied doing this excursion and highly recommend this to everyone. Had a BLAST!!

Book yourself a land yachting experience & you will not be disappointed. The company is owned by a lovely family & they can arrange port pick up/drop off if needed (only 10-15 mins from the ship). It was easy to learn & we enjoyed quality time having fun. Can highly recommend 😊👍
