Alors, contrairement à ce qui est ecrit sur les prospectus et dans le descriptif Viator, cette excursion ne fait pas 3h ni 4h et encore moins 5h ! Entrée en matière très bizarre car le guide nous demande si on veut marcher ou faire des raquettes car les raquettes « ça peut être lourd et difficile »… euh… non non on veut des raquettes. Il nous demande ensuite si on veut faire un parcours facile à plat ou un parcours avec qq montées et descentes un peu hors des sentiers battus. Nous optons bien sûr pour la deuxième option puisqu’on a choisi la prestation « wilderness » . Il y a ensuite 50 minutes de route pour se rendre au parc national du pallas d’où démarre la randonnée. Nous avons marché en tout 1h30 avec une pause de 30 minutes dans un laava traditionnel donc au chaud et à l’abri. La randonnée aurait pu être bcp plus interessante si le guide s’était donné la peine de nous fournir qq commentaires ou explications sur la région, le parc, la végétation. Mais rien. Il faisait régulièrement des photos de notre groupe et des paysages mais rien de plus. La randonnée en elle même fut une simple boucle de 2,5km qui nous a très peu éloigné de notre parking de départ et donc de la civilisation (dommage c’est ce que l’on espérait). Par ailleurs sans aucune difficulté à part le vent de face glacial pendant les 20 premières minutes de marche. Les 20 minutes de retour après la pause au laava se font certes dans la poudreuse mais … le long de la route. Voilà donc expérience décevante et d’autant plus frustrante que le parc national semble superbe à arpenter

We understand your disappointment regarding the duration of the excursion and the lack of commentary about the region. We do mention in the description that the total duration includes transport time, but we realize that the time spent walking did not meet your expectations. We will review how we communicate the duration of the activity to set clearer expectations for future guests. We want to point out that the snowshoes are an optional extra on this tour and can be used depending on your own fitness, preference and the conditions on the day. We recognize that offering more insight into the local wildlife, flora, and history would enhance the experience. We also understand that the 2.5 km loop hike wasn’t as exciting as you hoped, especially if you were expecting a deeper immersion into the national park. We’ll reconsider the route to offer a more engaging experience in the future.

Prachtige wandeling gemaakt in natuurpark Muonio, ongeveer een half uur rijden van Levi. Teemu begeleidde ons op een prettige wijze en wees ons op bijzonderheden. We hadden ook wat geluk met vers gevallen sneeuw en zon. Absolute aanrader.
