Ourselves and another couple both thought it was a private tour. We were quite disappointed to learn that it was not. Our idea of the trip and what actually took place were completely different. They didn’t feel like we had a tour guide that was on board with our needs and desires of things to see. We had one person at the beginning we had one person in the middle. We had nothing but a driver at the end. We learned about all this architect for people. We had no clue who they were but things that we thought were important to see we’re not even on the list. I think I would choose a different option in the future bus barely had air-conditioning and it was 85° outside so it was uncomfortable on the bus. The WC didn’t work. We stopped at two gas stations when coming when going along with 15 other buses and had 20 minutes to get through the crowd. It just was disappointing to us because it wasn’t what we were expecting. Had we expected what it was it probably would’ve been OK but we had tickets to the Notre Dame Cathedral and they wouldn’t let us go in because it didn’t fit their schedule, which was very disappointing. I think I would’ve found another way in and I would have. Found in different way in and just gone off on my own not my favorite tour. Do some research before you book this one.

We regret to hear that our tour did not meet your expectations. Let me address the concerns raised:
1. It has never been advertised as a private tour. Please note that all private tours are clearly labeled as “PRIVATE” right in the title and cost at least three times more.
2. Guide services are not included during the port transfers. Please take a closer look at the tour description. Guides meet guests in Paris. During the La Havre–Paris transfer, you had complimentary assistance from our tour coordinator.
3. Restroom stops are provided in full accordance with state requirements, in safe locations along the route. These are not fancy or private facilities, but standard public restrooms.
4. We are not able to modify group tours according to personal requirements. If you want to visit museums or have a relaxed four-course lunch, please consider booking private tours rather than shared tours.
When booking future activities with Viator, please base your expectations on the tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions.

If you want to see a lot in short period of time then this is for you. Guided was a little late and felt rushed at some stops because of it. But overall all, great experience.

The worst excursion we ever had and the most expensive!
We had no contact from the tour company as to where to meet or what to look for after we disembarked. Another company helped us out.
Tour guide spoke English but could not understand what she was saying.
The only reason I booked this to go to Norte Dame. When we arrived there we where given 30 minutes to view the outside of Norte Dome because we where told it took over an hour to get inside! We were also told to use the rest rooms and have lunch during this 30 minutes. We drove by the Arc de Triumph. We were in the very back of the small bus so we could not see anything!
We could have done away with the boat cruise on the Seine which the tour guide tried to charge us an additional €55. It was paid for and included in the excursion.
This tour was NOT WORTH THE COST A

We regret to hear that our services did not meet your expectations.
Please understand that the time available for this tour is determined by your cruise ship’s port schedule. As your ship provided approximately 10 hours ashore, and the round trip transfer requires around six hours in total, only approximately four hours remained for exploring this beautiful city.
The tour itinerary clearly states the time allocated to Notre-Dame, and visits to interiors or relaxed lunch are not included, as the schedule does not allow sufficient time for them.
Our guide is a fully licensed professional who assists thousands of cruise passengers each season and is thoroughly familiar with both Paris and this itinerary. The boat trip is included in the tour, and there was no reason for the guide to request any additional payment for this service.
Regarding pickup, our representative was waiting at the pier with a large JAT sign, as clearly stated in the pickup instructions. Please note that Viator works with many different suppliers in a large port such as Le Havre, and each operator uses its own identifying sign rather than a Viator sign.

It said we would have an English speaking guide. The rides from/to the boat to Paris we only had a the bus driver who only spoke French. One of the guests was from Montreal and was able to communicate with him. She took head count at the rest stops to makesure everybody got back on the bus. We were suppose to have 20 to 30 minute stops at Norte Dome and Arc de Triomphe. We didn’t have anytime at Arc de Triomphe and had 15 minutes at Norte Dome. We only had 20 minutes at the Eiffel-tower. We barely made it to the river ride on time. We were the last ones to get on board and there was no outside seating so it was hard to see everything from inside. When we finally picked the tour guide up, she spoke quickly and was hard to understand. It was rushed and chaotic. The guide, had the bus driver go down a road that was closed, only to find police in their riot gear holding machine guns. The taxi drivers were on strike. The guide left us at the boat and we were on our own again to get back to the bus after the river ride. There was no time made for getting lunch. You either used our quick stop to get some food or take pictures at the stop. You definitely don’t get your moneys worth and I do not recommend this tour for anyone. Viator should remove it from their website. I would like to get my money back.

1. The “What’s Included” section of the tour description clearly states that guide services are provided in Paris. The “Additional Information” section further specifies: "Please be aware that our tour guide will join you in Paris; guide services are not included during the transfer from Le Havre."
2. As mentioned in the same section: “The sequence of the itinerary and the time spent at each location may vary due to traffic, crowd conditions, and unforeseen circumstances. However, we do our best to cover all listed destinations.” This flexibility allows us to adapt to real-time conditions while maintaining the quality of the experience.
3. City authorities in Paris have increasingly restricted tourist bus access to central areas. Similar to Rome, the trend is moving toward pedestrian-only zones. Experimental road closures are already in place, which have affected just one road of your tour routing.
4. All our guides are fully licensed English-speaking professionals, trained to deliver tours using international English standards. While accents may vary, they are highly experienced in leading tours for a global audience. We encourage our American guests to travel often and embrace the diversity of accents and cultural nuances.
5. We completely understand that first-time cruisers may feel anxious about timing, but we guarantee a timely return to your ship. With over 25 years of experience in shore excursions, we stay in constant contact with port authorities and cruise lines to ensure your peace of mind. Some guests, however, begin asking to return as early as noon for 7:00 PM departures—though this is not necessary.
6. This tour is limited to the 10-hour window permitted by your cruise itinerary. Of that time: 6 hours are spent on round-trip transfers (Le Havre ↔ Paris) 1 hour is reserved for the Seine River cruise, leaving only about 3 hours in Paris itself. We acknowledge this may feel rushed, but we must work within the parameters set by the cruise schedule.
7. If you prefer a more relaxed pace with ample time for meals deeper exploration, shopping etc we recommend visiting Paris independently by air or suggesting to your cruise line to extend time in Le Havre. This would allow guests more meaningful time in the city.
