Our guide (Ken) is very hospitable and made every effort to ensure we were having a good time. He is very familiar with this tour and helped us with insider information at every stop.
We came on this trip as a couple (two of us) and had the boat to ourselves. We had a private cabin w a King bed. The accomidations were somewhat "glamping"
- dont expect a 5star hotel. The AC stopped working one night but it was cool outside so we openend the windows. Fantastic once in a lifetime experience

The crew, guide, food and service were good. The boat itself was terrible. We had paid extra for an air condition room for sleeping and storage of our luggage. However, the air conditioner did not work. The crew could not fix it and apologized for the inconvenience. The room was always very hot, around 85 F, and not comfortable for staying or sleeping. Also, the shower did not work and there was no sink for washing hands. Moreover, the shuttle boat was too small and required two trips each way for loading us (2 people) and our luggage separately. The ladder on the small shuttle boat was very short and it was very difficult to climb back into the boat after snorkeling. We did not see any other shuttle boats this small. We expect a refund of several hundred dollars for this major inconvenience especially the lack of air conditioning in our sleeping room for which we paid extra.

We just checked the situation with the crew and they said, that since there were 3 bedrooms on the boat, you used the second one, where AC was working. Also the problem with the water in the bathroom was fixed.
Since there was only you two on the boat, they used small dingi boat, that is enough an easier to manage.

The crew and guid were fantastic. The snorkeling amazing and the Komodo dragons mind blowing. On request they changed the trip to avoid big crowds because it was weekend and very busy. They knocked it out of the park. Incredible.

This was my second trip cruising the Komodo islands.
The islands are spectacularly beautiful. The crew of the boat were nice and capable.
Unfortunately the boat was far from being good value. For $750 dollars a night our boat had a cramped and dirty bedroom, a small combined toilet and shower room with a non-flushing toilet and a very weak shower with no hot water. There was no sink or tap water to clean your hands after being to the toilet. Their snorkeling equipment was old and falling apart.
The worst part of the overall experience, which potentially could have been life threatening, was that despite being clearly told my wife has a shellfish allergy they served us a shrimp salad for dinner one evening!!
We were so unhappy with this experience that we cut our trip short and asked the crew to take us back to port on the morning of our third day.
I have rented boats and crew all over south east asia including Komodo and this was the worst experience and value I have had.
If you are thinking of renting a boat from Bintang Komodo make sure you get the full details about the facilities before you give them $750 per night. Or be prepared to be ripped off!

Just got back to land today. Our wonderful guide planned our excursions to be more exclusive by avoiding the crowds in all locations except the sunrise hike on Padre Island which he could not control. The boat crew were very attentive to all of our needs and the food was very good. The captain of the boat was very good and we felt safe. The waters were calm. We got to see Komodo dragons on Rinca Island and Komodo Island. We also saw the manta rays and turtles and LOTS of fish. The accomodations are basic, but were just fine for the two night 3 day Private tour we did. The AC worked great in our cabin so sleeping was very comfortable.

Wonderful adventure trip with a dedicated team led by Robert. The boat travelled through beautiful areas, made a bunch of stops, and we relaxed completely. We had a great time seeing Komodo dragons, giant manta rays, deer, buffalo, reef sharks, turtles, splendid corals, and a plethora of fish. We had an incredible trip seeing everything we had hoped for. There was almost too many amazing things every day. Ryan - our guide, ensured we did the activities we most wanted to do. We were never rushed and he managed to avoid the crowds as much as possible. The food was great and exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and quantity. The boat was lovely and had character.

This experience has been very hard for us, they spoiled our honeymoon, we have paid money and we feel cheated
The ship was very dirty, the food in poor condition we did not dare to eat for fear of getting sick. The staff did not give us privacy and they lied about the route and they lied to us saying that due to bad weather we could not do the agreed itinerary, when we saw other boats going normally.

we went on private 3d/2n and had an amazing time!!! one of the best snorkeling ever! the crew was fabulous, looked after us in every possible aspect. the tour guide - Van was awesome, very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodation and respectful
the only disappointing thing was that for the amount of money the Komodo National Park and tour companies collect from tourist , there is hardly any nature (flora and fauna) preservation happening (at least you can see), rubbish everywhere even it seems like they are making a bit of cleaning around the main touristy parts at least. the sustainability and environmental consciousness is just not there!

Itinerary and snorkel spots are amazing. Food on the boat is really good. Improvable comfortability on the boat when you have to jump in, wood chairs & having greater clarity on the day’s organization and timetable would help guests to take the most out of the trip.

My husband and I decided to book this excursion just for the two of us, and it was a winning choice as, on the one hand, it allowed us to see the beaches on our own and on the other hand to visit Padar and see the dragons at the best hours and in the best light
Regarding the boat, I would like to make a distinction: the food is really good and the staff fantastic (our Rian guide absolutely recommended).
The boat itself, on the other hand, leaves something to be desired and this should be properly marked so as not to make the customer find himself unprepared.
I dare not imagine what it would be like when it travels fully loaded with
8/10 tourists.
Cabin aside what you have around makes you enjoy every little moment.

Todo en general muy bien, una gran experiencia donde compartes viaje con los guías q te van acompañando además de la tripulación. Lo único negativo es que hay que llevar mucho dinero en efectivo (1500000 de rupias al menos) algo que no advierten con claridad al reservar. Cada entrada a los parques donde hay dragones cuestan alrededor de 600000 rupias y te cobran hasta el fondeo del barco en el que vas. No es por la cantidad de dinero q supone, sino por no saberlo y contar con el efectivo justo

Die Natur, die Unterwasserwelt und die Warane waren toll. Der Guide war auch sehr aufmerksam und machte einen sehr guten Job. Der Koch war der beste Mann an Bord. Negativ: das Boot. Runtergekommen und dreckig. Da war der Umstand, dass es nur am ersten Abend gekühlte Getränke gab, weil eine Kühlbox ohne Eis keine 3 Tage kühlt, nur nebensächlich. Die letzte Nacht verbrachten wir mit Kopfhörer, der Käpt'n hatte sein Boot am Heck eines anderen Bootes festgemacht. Dort lief der Stromgenerator. Ein Einzylinder mit defektem Auspuff. Wir haben den Rest aber zu 1000% genossen.
