This was the trip of dreams! Komodo had been experiencing closures when we were scheduled to go so the wonderful tour staff of East Cruise Tours offered an alternative, private, plan to see komodo dragons and snorkel. However, last minute they were able to secure a permit for our original itinerary! Through the entire process, they were very communicative and made it as seamless as possible.
On our trip, the guides went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time, with safety as the #1 priority. The itinerary is packed with adventure, but at no time did I feel rushed or that I could not enjoy the destination.

Nice tour. We got to see everything that Komodo area has to offer. Padar island hike is iconic and instagramer-heaven! We got to see 3 Komodo dragons on Komodo Island and enjoyed the 4 beach/snorkelling sites. The reefs in this area are very healthy and teeming with sea creatures!
The tour itself was good. The guide was very professional and attentive and the boat was in good condition.
One star has been deducted due to the following matters. Pick up time was changed twicw within a day of the tour getting earlier and earlier. Our hotel was 10 min away from the pier and we were told to be ready at 5:30 am. The boat departed at 7am! So a lot of waiting around for no aparant reason. Also, this is one of the biggest groups we saw on the day. There were about 30 of us which meant the everything was slow and the day ended up being too long (about 11 hours). The same itinerary in a smaller groups takes 7-8 hours

We had a really great time going on this tour! Everything was arranged and just as the itinerary had listed! Overall we had a really nice time, and the speedboat was air conditioned. Go on this tour with an open mind, and all will be well. The staff genuinely want to show you their way of life, and work hard to help you look for Manta Rays, beautiful corals, and adorable sea turtles (if you are lucky, you might even see a few cute baby sharks). So if it seems a little chaotic in the water, that's because of their passion!

Great day! Ended up being 50 passengers, not the 36 as stated in description. Big boat and fast. The stops were epic. Did not like that they switched itinerary and we only had 45 min on Pink beach, would have preferred to have lunch on Pink Beach. Would definitely book again. Amazing underwater sea life. We saw a manta ray swimming, it was incredible. So many fish, coral, etc. Padar island was incredible. 40 min hike up for epic views. Wear sneakers and bring flip flops for beach. Bring snacks as it’s a long day!

This was one of the most incredible tours we have ever done! The scenery was breath-taking, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and it was surreal to see Komodo dragons up close (but at a safe distance). Our guide Bobby was very professional and full of humor, and he helped out with our 4-year old son getting on and off the boat. He felt like family by the time we left. Highly recommend this experience, especially Bobby!

Our tickets included island tickets they still want money even I show them it’s was paid I have to pay again at entrance. Please don’t use this local travel agent

In fact, you did not pay the entry tickets for 4 persons (IDR 1.400.000 in total) at Komodo National Park, did you?
We paid your tickets.

Because our tour guide told that you did not pay the tickets.

I loved everything except for the Komodo Dragon visit. The park ranger- guide was very unprofessional and disrespectful with the group. It appeared that the 2 dragons we saw were drugged. They need to do better or visitors won’t come. Put in an interpretive center with the 350,000 rupiah that the island collects in addition to the tour cost. It could be a fantastic experience but it falls way short. Train the rangers to be professional. Ours was not! He treated the group like we were little kids, Our group had 26 passengers. We should have been broken up into 2-3 groups on Komodo as many could not even hear the ranger. I’m in the travel business and can’t recommend this tour unless things change on the Komodo visit. I understand the local government is not interested in making changes but Viator could follow up on this problem. This is my 3rd visit to see the dragons, 2018, 2019 and now 2024. I was hoping to bring my tour groups to Flores to see the Komodo Dragons but just can’t do it. Something needs to change. No one wants to see animals drugged just so tourists can see them ‘in the wild’ ! The rest of the day tour was fantastic. Great snorkelling and beautiful islands and beaches. The staff on the boat were excellent.

The overall experience was good, because of the actual team that was on board. But the whole experience was very chaotic from an organization point of view. The pick up and drop off, especially where very unorganized and if you’re new to the area, this can be very unsettling. the people who ran the actual trip on board were amazing and deserve every aspect of kudos. The Komodo island itself was little disappointing because it felt very staged and the truck itself was just a half a mile walk-through on a trail path. So do not have any more expectation than that.

Tour ben organizzato, la guida brava, paziente e disponibile; peccato per la barca utilizzata per il tour parecchio vecchiotta rispetto alle altre utilizzate dagli altri gruppi e per il comandante e aiutanti parecchio disattenti nelle diverse manovre però nel complesso come tour veramente molto molto bello, super consigliato per questo infatti merita quattro stelle
