The tour was terrific. My driver, Resh Suresh, was incredible. He was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable of the city and surroundings. He took us to a Hindi shrine at Batu Cave, the National Mosque, and an old church. We visited Chinatown, Little India, and the gathering of Pakistanis (it happened only on Sunday). I also visited Merdeka, the Independence Place, and more. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants to discover Kuala Lumpur in one day.

DANGER!!!
I paid for a private tour and just finished with Suresh, the driver, from Oasis. Suresh arrived 40 minutes late and immediately upon entering the car stated that the pre-sold itinerary would NOT be followed because, "school was out and there was going to be too much traffic." Suresh then proceeded to make up his own itinerary and things went downhill from here:
-He proceeded lecture about not being able to complete the full tour due to the late start, weather and possible traffic. (This was a pre-paid, private, solo, 8 hour tour.)
-He told me Muslims are intolerant and that I should clutch my belongings tight because there are "bad people here" when dropping me off at the National Mosque. (The people inside were extremely nice btw. They gave me a free Quran, a pamphlet and invited me to come dine with them as they were serving food.)
-He tried to sell me drugs...a green powder that would cure all illness. This happened multiple times.
-He tried to get more money out of me by saying that he had to pay for admission tickets out of his own pocket. This was untrue as all the places he took me to had free admission! (One was a public park for the cricket club!)
-He proceeded to rant about his boss not paying him enough. He said he was a temp but later admitted he was an employee on salary.
-He said he was two months behind on his car note and rent and that if his wife didn't work he would not eat. Then he tried to sell me drugs, again.
-He said he and his wife's situation was very dire. So dire in fact that they may have to resort to kidnapping me. KIDNAPPING ME.
-While at the Batu caves, he tried to tell me he had to pay for entrance to the caves. I told him this wasn't true and that we pre-paid for the tour agenda. He changed to topic and proceeded to take out a stack of parking tickets from his center console, stating each one was $300 ringgit. He proceeded to park very far away and made me walk because he said that was how we would get in for free.
All of this happened in the first three hours of the tour! At this point I asked to be taken back to the hotel. He initially refused, saying nothing, while the car was parked. I pushed twice more and then he finally took me back.
After I got to the hotel, I called his boss Parthiban, who is the owner. I proceeded to tell him what had happened and when I mentioned that his driver threatened to kidnap me, Parthiban laughed and said kidnapping was not a big deal in Malaysia. He blew everything off including his driver trying to sell me drugs.
I've reported this to Viator and all they said was that it would be investigated. Please avoid this tour provider at all costs, especially if you're a solo traveler.

As a Viator product for the Kuala Lumpur City Tour, we have clearly outlined the itinerary in our description, along with images to give guests a better understanding of the journey and the various stops.
Despite providing all the necessary details, the complaint was raised by the guest's spouse, who was not present during the tour and may have misunderstood the explanation given. The spouse filed the complaint via Viator, and we responded promptly with a detailed explanation, including supporting evidence for investigation on 18/2/2025. The investigation is ongoing, which is taking longer than expected.
Please note that we have successfully conducted many tours under this product and have received numerous compliments for our driver, Mr. Suresh. Before each tour begins, our driver provides clear instructions about the itinerary, explaining the various stops and the do’s and don'ts. Guests are welcome to skip any stop they feel is unnecessary.
Batu Caves, which is a Hindu temple, is one of the top tourist spots in Malaysia. It welcomes visitors of all religions and offers a warm, inclusive atmosphere. As is well known, Malaysia is one of the safest countries for travel, and the police are present at most tourist sites, ensuring the safety of all visitors. Therefore, any claims of a kidnapping incident are unfounded.
We are currently waiting for Viator to complete their investigation and take appropriate action.

My friends and I were picked up from our hotel in a car. We had a personal driver/tour guide for the whole day. The tour was personalized. We visited all the top spots that we needed to see in the city. Got some great photos. Experienced some great food. And learned a lot on how Malaysia became Malaysia of today.

Full, excellent day of touring with Kal, our very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable driver/tour guide. It does get quite hot in KL so Kal tailored the tour so we did the right stops at the right time to avoid the heat. There is so much to see in and around KL. All her recommendations were spot on including places to eat and buy stuff. 5 stars all round and would definitely recommend this tour company and use them next time I’m in town.

The tour was well organized and flexible where to go and how long to spend time in the each spot.
My guide James Ryan was amazing, he is knowledgeable, friendly, polite and punctual. He speaks English very well and explained a lots of things, I especially enjoyed taking with him about different cultures in Malaysia, politics systems and how they survive during Covid 19.
I would highly recommend this tour with James.
