It was amazing- the guide, all the raindeers and freding them and when they pulled the sled around.
We got the heat back in our feet by the fire in the teepee tent while we were served a little snack and hot drink. And we were super Lucky with the beautifull northen light in the sky. It was also amazing fore the Kids Who got to say hello to raindeers and feed them and walk with them ..... thanks for an amazing experience

We got the heat back in our feet by the fire in the teepee tent while we were served a little snack and hot drink. And we were super Lucky with the beautifull northen light in the sky. It was also amazing fore the Kids Who got to say hello to raindeers and feed them and walk with them ..... thanks for an amazing experience

Niko took us out into the forest with a snowmobile sled and we stopped at some locations with beautiful, unblocked view of the night sky. It will be perfect for viewing the aurora if the weather was good. We then headed to the reindeers, who gave us a ride after being bribed with some lichen. It was amazing to interact with the reindeer who all had their own personalities and quirks. The reindeer was trained and knew the route so it was just 2 of us and the reindeer himself- Niko just had to get the reindeer started, it was so cool. Niko then brought us into his tippi where it was nice and warm, he cooked up a delicious moose-reindeer sandwich. Very informative tour, we learned about the Sami culture and reindeers. Small group size, highly recommend!

For a minute it looked as if our trip would not include a reindeer sled tour and then one opened up with Niko. What a gift. Niko starts his tour at his home and it immediately feels personal and authentic. Like your friend or neighbor who grew up Sami getting together with you on the weekend to take you sled riding. We geared up and went to where Niko keeps his reindeer on the lake bed. While the day we booked was not an aurora viewing evening due to changing sky conditions it was beautiful. The reindeer were characters with lots of personality. Niko told us about his family and how they migrate the deer and after sledding he made us dinner in a tent by the lake. Bread that his mother bakes, shredded meat cooked over the flame, blueberry/lingonberry sauce with creme fresh...easily our best meal in Abisko. Highly recommend this experience. Thank you Niko!

What an amazing experience! We were picked up at our hotel and bought to our starting point to dress warmer, rode in a snowmobile driven sleigh to the reindeer in the wilderness, pet the tamer reindeer, rode on a reindeer pulled sled, had a deliciously cooked reindeer meat snack, and then we were lucky to get an amazing light show in the sky! Beautiful! The tour would have still been amazing without the lights because Nicholas is very personable and genuine, and loves to share his family’s history and knowledge. We were a small group which made this all the more special. We enjoyed other activities in the area but this was a favorite because of the group size and Nicholas’ authenticity.

Un’attività inaspettata per assaporare la cultura del luogo; Niklas bravissima guida, ci ha raccontato del popolo Sami e della sua realtà (e unica guida locale che abbiamo incontrato nel corso dei tour, generalmente le guide sono europee). In più la piccola cena che ci ha preparato, a base di carne di renna, è stata deliziosa!
Consigliamo di vestirsi pesanti, e di non avere aspettative, il giro in slitta è breve ma non influisce sulla qualità dell’esperienza che rifaremmo e consigliamo a tutti!
