Just as advertised, this tour was fully customizable, both before and during the tour! Immediately after booking, I sent a message with basic details about us and 6-7 sites we wanted to see. I also mentioned we were open to any other sites our guide thought we might enjoy. Setting a meeting point was easy, and Saba was easy to find and right on time! At the start of the tour, he shared our tentative itinerary and asked if it met our needs. It did! From there, we headed to the Tower of David Museum, which was the perfect starting point. With timeline visual aids provided by the museum, Saba summarized the chronological history of Jerusalem. This gave context to the rest of the tour, putting each site in perspective. At each site, Saba provided a thorough, yet easy-to-understand explanation of what we were seeing and why it was meaningful. He always stated what were going to do next, and checked in multiple times to see if we needed to take a break, go to the bathroom, or wanted to take a detour to a different site within view. Although he gave us options, we felt zero pressure to curate the trip. We quickly trusted his guidance and felt comfortable asking questions. My boyfriend doesn't usually like tours because he says the guide is usually "too much" or the itinerary feels too packed or "touristy". This was not at all the case. We felt got to see everything we wanted and more, in a private, laid back environment that made us feel like locals. After the tour, my boyfriend said it was the best one he's ever done and Saba was the perfect fit. Furthermore, my boyfriend is from Israel and he was surprised by how little he actually knew about Jerusalem! We highly, highly recommend! Take what you love about all the other tours, and make your own with this one!

Marco was exceptional. His knowledge and friendliness was top notch! I learned so much on my tour and would highly recommend. The history of the Old City is essential to understanding what you see.

This was a great tour. I traveled with me and my 4 y/o and I was treated wonderfully and saw many of the sites in just 4 hrs. My tour guide Shaul was very knowledgeable of the areas and gave us time to have all of the sacred experiences here in Jerusalem. Would 10000% recommend him. He also kept me from being taken advantage of by the locals when in the market and taxi.

Excellent and well informed half day walking tour with Souhail George. We only had half day available and he filled every moment. He was able to take us to the Temple mount and gave a detailed tour of the Christian sites. As well as the Jewish.

Meier led us on an incredible tour of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the tunnels below the West Wall. He was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We would highly recommend him to anybody looking for a private guide in Jerusalem!

This was probably the best part of our entire middle-east trip.
Our guide, Liora and her boyfriend, were highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour to City Center, Old City, Mt. Olives, and the outskirts of Knesset.
They told us a tremendous amount about living in Jerusalem as a local: the customs, relationships, political views, etc. They gave us restaurant/museum recommendations. I have a deep, almost academic interest in Jewish history/cultures, so talking to them was just delightful.
I hope peace will prevail in Israel/Palestine soon, so lovely people like our guides can resume and enjoy their lives.

A walk through a beautiful residential area, the first one built in Jerusalem, was picturesque. The guide then took us to Christ’s Church to see a special exhibit a friend had placed there last week of the Third Temple. The Garden Tomb was nice. We rested a while. Meir bought us a pita filled snack in The Arab Market. And at the end he bought us long looped bread at a bakery called a bagel. We paid for a taxi back to our hotel. We walked 4.5 miles.

It was a pleasure touring Jerusalem with our guide Timur. He had an interesting perspective as a recent immigrant to Israel. The promenade at the end of our walk was a highlight.

It was a long day full of detailed explanations of the culture of the old city. We saw so many interesting facets of old city and city of David. Would never have been able to do this on our own. So helpful to have Anna as a guide.

Despite giving our tour guide, who’s name I can’t even remember, a list of sites we wanted to see in the Old City he was mostly concerned with showing us those related to Christ and the Church. This was even after we expressly told him we wanted to focus on the main major sites and the Jewish quarter. He also repeated himself constantly and never referred to us by our names. Instead he called me “brother” and my wife “lady”. We grew more frustrated with him as the tour went on and eventually ended it early. Then he continued to follow us into stores because he was concerned with getting his kickback from them even though he wasn’t guiding us to them. I’ve used Viator numerous times before but this was the worst experience I’ve had and may discourage me from using them again since you have no control over who is assigned to you.

It allows you to see the main places without getting lost in the maze of streets and to know the History and its different layers, for curious people.
