Tour operator cancelled, missed out

The tour operator cancelled, and then refused to pick up my phone calls about a refund. I had to fight to get the money back. Called Viator twice, and then it worked. By contrast, my friend went at a different time with a different tour operator and said the leopard reserve was amazing. I will try again sometime but with a different tour operator.

Waste of time, don’t bother

The safari was supposed to start at 3 pm. We got into the jeep and were told we had to wait for a family of four. At 3.36 pm the driver gave up walking and we started the safari. After 20 minutes he took a call and said they had arrived and we needed to go back to the gate to collect. The safari wasn’t extended so we missed out on valuable time in the park that we’d paid for. We will be expecting part refund.

Disappointing Jhalana safari

The forest is nice, but there were disappointments: 1/ We booked (and paid online) for 2nd Jan 2021 afternoon safari, after checking availability, but Viator's tour operator BanBanjara called to say that the said slot is completely booked, and could offer only for the same day morning. 2/ While booking, they ask to fill hotel name for pick up. I assumed that we will be picked up from hotel, but the operator later told that hotel pick-up was not included (and in the booking form, that was only for information). Indeed, on closer look at website, I found that the same is written; but asking for hotel name for pick-up was confusing, and gives incorrect impression. 3/ We booked for 4 people. On arrival at meeting point we realised that we are being given 4 seats in a Jeep, shared with other tourists. This was not very clearly written in the booking form, and as a result we got the impression that we are booking a full Jeep. They pointed out that 4 seats on a Jeep of 6 has been allocated to us - however, actually the Jeep had 7 tourists (including 4 of us) + driver. Unfair practice, I'd say. 4/ Drive-cum-guide Rohit was very knowledgeable. He knew wildlife in the park well, and despite all other disappointments, the trip was nice only because of him.
