Overall, there were no major complaints and it was a safe and secure move. I was relieved to be able to confirm and communicate with them the day before via WhatsApp messages. Two medium suitcases for two people, no problem. Taxis in India often have gas tanks in their trunks so you can't load your bags, but the car on this tour was a petrol car, so it didn't matter. I was able to communicate as needed, but the driver was not very good at English. We stopped at a drive-in for driver's breakfast on the three-hour journey from Jaipur to Pushkar. We drank chai and waited for his meal. We paid for the meal (although it was small). Lunch in Pushkar was expensive as we were taken to a restaurant designated by the tour company. On the way from Pushkar to Jodhpur (about 3.5 hours), there was also a chai break at the suggestion of the driver. Is it normal in India to have a break that the passenger did not request? Is it mandatory for drivers to rest? Unknown.
