Butterfly farm, tribe & Piranhas

Took the butterfly sanctuary, tribe and piranha fishing trip in August 2025. Kelwin the tour owner/operator/guide was great. Knowledgeable and passionate. Asking to be contacted over WhatsApp, made our communication prior to tour very easy. Kelwin made sure we were ready and met us at the hotel for a short (5min) walk to the boat. Boat was nothing fancy but perfect for the tour length. Butterfly farm and wildlife rescue was awesome. Animals were well taken care of given the circumstances. Rescue founder took us on the tour and you could tell the love the place was built with. We then went next door and met the indigenous tribe. Definitly a money grab from them but much needed. Government doesn't help most of the rescues and tribes around Iquitos. They showed us a small piece of their culture and sold trinkets to survive. We went fishing afterwards which was way more fun than I imagined even though my wife caught way more piranha than I. Overall this was a great experience thanks to Kelwin.

Amazing day in the jungle

I spent one day with Robinson on and around the Amazon, and by far this day was the highlight of my travel. Robin grew up himself in the jungle, so he knows his way in and out, and he knows all animals, plants or local customs you may be interested in. He was very caring and flexible, waited for me patiently when i needed more time and we added a couple of more activities to allow me to have a full experience. Dont miss the piranha fishing, as it is a lot of fun! 🙂 I loved the animal rescue centres and the presentation of the local communities. Robin was truly entertaining, kind, attentive and made me feel safe everywhere in the jungle. I am already planning my return 🙂
