Unfortunately I was not even able to give 0 stars to this trip so having to resort to a 1 star which is very poor! The transportation for the trip was awful, we were put on 3 different coaches each way to finally get to Luxor and back. We were not informed during the booking at any point that we would have to change to multiple coaches. During the transportation, we were not with a single English speaking guide, and no communication that we had to keep moving coaches. This was really disrupting that we had to stay awake throughout the journeys incase needing to change over.
When we were approaching Luxor, as the guide did not speak English, we missed alot of information about the area and only received information when finally met our guide after a further transfer to the first stop which was Karnak temple. The guide was the only helpful person when we reached the sites, although there were a number of times when we were left as the guide kept moving ahead without checking the group was present and the guide was unable to help with transportation issues.
I contacted Viator customer services about this booking to complain but was advised that only a 5% refund would be issued as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ and despite requesting to escalate this further, they have now stopped responding! This has been our worst experience in Egypt. This is the second time booking this trip and was worse than the first time. I will not be recommending this excursion with this organiser as there has just been poor service all round and I am still waiting for a response regarding a refund.

The guide was amazing and very insightful! Props. The main highlights for the tour were the Karnak Temple, the cruise in the Nile and the Albaster workshop. All things considered the relation between quality-price is very good. The weather was extremely hot, which made the itinerary for the afternoon a bit more challenging, especially for the children in the group, but overall it was a day well spent in Luxor.

A massive downside of this trip is the visit to Banana Island in the Nile. You pay extra to see this & it’s sold to you as seeing Egyptian wildlife in their natural habitat.
What it actually is, is animal cruelty- animals kept in tiny squalid cages, poked with sticks to get a reaction, donkeys & horses, with a tiny foal, kept tied up in the blazing sun with no water & no shade. It’s horrific. Do not go & please display your disgust to the tour company at this awful place, which should not even be allowed to exist.

Die Tour nach Luxor war sehr langatmig, auf Grund des Programmes und der Distanz von Hurghada aus. Ein ungefähr 17 Stunden langer Tag mit vielen Eindrücken und Erlebnissen, die sich für uns als Erstbesucher von Ägypten aber gelohnt haben. Das Programm wurde absolut eingehalten. Unser Guide sprach gut deutsch, war aber für einen Ägyptologen sehr oberflächlich mit Informationen in den Tempelanlagen. Das Mittagessen in Luxor war schmackhaft, gut und hygienisch zubereitet. Die Tour wurde spontan um eine Bootsfahrt zu dem Banana-Island für 10 Euro erweitert, was man sich eigentlich hätte schenken können, lediglich ein kleiner Tierpark mit einer Bananenplantage. Ebenso hatten wir außerhalb von Luxor einen plötzlichen Verkaufswerbestop in einer Alabastamanufaktur. Lustig aber unnötig. Das Tal der Könige war dann nochmal richtig sehenswert. Alles in Allem stimmte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, auf unsere Sicherheit wurde großen Wert gelegt und auch unser Guide taute später noch auf. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Vier Sterne nur deshalb, wegen den Verkaufsstopps.

War soweit okay, aber sicher nicht der beste Anbieter. Großer Bus, bequem, Klima. Pro Person 15€ extra für Gebühren. Tal der Könige nur Nebeneingang und sehr kleine Gräber, eines davon aber immerhin mit der berühmten Tänzerinnen Darstellung. Unangenehm aufgefallen ist, dass man uns den "Bananen Inseln" Quatsch verkaufen wollte (mit Nachdruck) und auch sonst kleine Nebengeschäfte versucht hat. Das Mittagessen war miserabel. Also Fazit: Ganz OK aber geht mit Sicherheit besser.

Te lang in de bus met een te grote groep,waardoor je anderhalf uur heen en terug extra in de bus zit, om mensen op te halen bij zo’n 10 hotels.
Na betaling moesten ze in de bus van iedereen weer 10 euro extra hebben en tijdens de excursie weer een keer 10 euro voor een stukje varen over de Nijl, om naar een eilandje te gaan.Wanneer je dat niet wilde ,moest je anderhalf uur in de bus wachten, werd gezegd.

Ho prenotato una guida in italiano ma parlava solo inglese. Soste più che altro commerciali, fabbrica alabastro e bananeto che non centravano nulla con luxor e il Nilo
