Very convenient private tour as we dont want waiting for other people. We were picked up on time, we went at our own pace and was dropped off at the right time when our legs couldnt carry us anymore. The 2 Mohammeds who drove and guided us were very friendly and professional. They catered to our every request during the day.

We had a great time with this private tour! We enjoyed the fact that it was only us in the vehicle as it gave us time to sleep comfortably as our driver Mohamed Nassear drove us for 4 hours starting at 4:30am! He was so patient with us and said Good Morning as we woke up every few stops!
We had a wonderful tour guide Professor Ahmed Elsisi - Egyptologist. He was well known in every location, we joked he is the mayor of Luxor. Professor captivated our attention with stories and made learning about everything so easy and engaging.

Early start but it means you get to Luxor early before the crowds. About 4 hours to get to Luxor and 3.5 hours coming back. The day was really well organised and you see some amazing sites. Would highly recommend.

Our guide was excellent. He was very knowledgable and friendly. The drivers on the other hand made the trip very exhausting. The driver from Hurghada to Luxor was good, and made the trip there pretty comfortable.
The driver from Luxor back to Hurghada drove like a maniac. Despite telling him multiple times to slow down because we get car sick, he did not do so. "You can go to sleep" was his response. Driving 150-160 on even the bad roads, hitting multiple potholes very hard. Lucky a tire didn't blow two of the times.
If you want a private trip for the comfort, I would specify before you go if you want a comfortable drive.

Fantastic trip from start to finish. Pickup was 430am and we headed straight over the desert road. Our drivers were very friendly and kept us informed. Our guide Moamen met us in Luxor. Very knowledgeable guide and very patient with us. Kept us informed all day. We did everything the trip advertised and there are even more optional trips you can add if you wish. We only didnt do this because our son was very tired due to the hot weather. Will definitely do again

A five star experience from beginning to end with Mahmoud a very safe and prompt driver , Ahmed our knowledgable and fun guide , a delicious lunch at Local Aden restaurant , and cruise down h Nile on the ‘Omar Sharrif’.. I would recommend this trip to anyone .. top tip .. take lots of 20Egyptian pound notes for toilet stops !!

Great day to explore the tombs and temples. Knowledgeble and very nice guide and travelling in private transportation (nice car) made this a memorable day for our family, travelling with children (9Y and 7Y).
Good to know though, is that the day is not a "private tour" in the sense that you will be alone with the guide - we were surprised to be joined by another party (of two) for the entire day in Luxor, and they were equally surprised! We didn't mind, but good to set your expectations right.
Also, although the itinerary at booking said pickup at 5 am, we were told the day before the tour that the pickup was in fact 4:30 am. And this was non-negotiable. So don't book this tour thinking that you can sleep 30 min extra compared to other operators.

We would like to clarify an important point regarding the pickup time. The pickup was scheduled at 4:30 AM, in accordance with official Tourist Police instructions, as vehicles on this route must join a mandatory security convoy at a fixed time. This timing is strictly regulated and cannot be delayed.
For this reason, it is not possible to sleep until 5:00 AM when the pickup is scheduled earlier. As with any early-morning tour, guests are required to wake up before the pickup time in order to be ready. This is a standard and reasonable requirement for early departures.
These procedures are mandatory safety regulations enforced by local authorities, and we strictly comply with them to ensure the safety and smooth operation of the tour.
For us, our travelers’ safety is the highest priority, above any scheduling preferences, and we operate professionally and responsibly at all times.

We booked this as we didnt want the hassle of other people messing us around as its already a long drive.
We really enjoyed the day, the guide was very knowledgeable and the lunch was great. Filled us up for the rest of the day. We got plenty of time at each stop but could have done without the Alabaster shop. Making out its all made in house (it isnt) and expensive - a small statue was "only €100" according to the worker. I wouldnt pay more than €30 for it. I would have bought some items had they been priced sensibly.
You will stop at a services en route to get a coffee etc if you want, but I recommend getting a breakfast box from the hotel first. Be warned the services are full of cigarette smokers and the toilets aren't great.
The only downside to the trip was that the driver who picked us up didnt know any english. Which made the 4 hour journey a bit boring. It was hard to know what was happening, was this our guide? Were we meeting the guide? In luxor they change drivers so the first one can sleep to take us back. But the 2nd drivers english wasnt overly brilliant either. So we still didnt know what was happening until we picked up the guide. I eventually got out Google translate on my phone to speak to the driver. Which he reciprocated thankfully. I would recommend maybe an email or WhatsApp message to outline what to expect from pickup. What would have been ideal is some knowledge being given on the journey. Even if it was just the last hour.
Hard to sleep as well due to the Egyptian roads with the speed bumps and police check points but a few naps can be had on the journey. I recommend trying to sleep or download some movies to watch for the journey.

Regarding the alabaster workshop, we would like to clarify that this visit is not included as a mandatory part of the tour. It is offered by the guide as an optional cultural stop to demonstrate how traditional alabaster items were made during the Pharaonic era. Guests are always free to accept or decline, and there is no obligation to purchase anything. Prices are set by the workshop itself, not by Legacy Tour.
Concerning transportation, on long-distance routes such as Hurghada–Luxor, driver changes are a standard safety procedure to ensure drivers are well-rested for the return journey. Drivers are responsible for safe transportation, while historical explanations and guiding are provided by the licensed guide in Luxor, as outlined in the tour program.

We were picked up in hurghada from our hotel by Adam at 4.30am and driven to Luxor. The car was comfy and he picked a stop for us half way where there was no charge for the bathrooms. When we got to Luxor, Hamad took over the driving and was very friendly and made sure we had a good day. We then picked up our guide Samira, who was very welcoming and knowledgable and took us to see the sights. She recommended swapping the Karnak temple to a different temple as I was struggling with walking (I have a disability) and I think this was the right option for me, but having looked at photos I think the Karnak temple is the best option if you are okay with walking! We were taken to an alabaster factory, but not for too long. Samira was great to talk to, had so much knowledge about ancient Egypt and also happy to talk about current Egyptian life which was very interesting. At the end of the tour, Hamad then drove us to meet Adam who drove us back to Hurghada. On our drive back to Hurghada he stopped to buy us ice creams and drinks which was very kind! Had a great day and saw and learned a lot about ancient Egypt.

My wife and I booked this experience 5 days ago whilst on holiday in the Makadi Bay area near Hurghada.
Our driver Ahmed Bahaa picked us up on time at 5am and was great company to and from Luxor, which was ~3.5 hours each way. He even bought us ice cream on the way back which was very kind of him!
Arriving in Luxor we met our professional guide Mahmoud Issa. Having grown up in Luxor himself, he is incredible knowledgeable on the places we visited: Valley of the Kings, Queen Hapshetsut's Temple and Karnak Temple, and ancient Egyptian history in general. Not only did he provide us with so much context and history while we walked around, but he had answers to all of our questions too, and speaks English well.
The tour itself was great, I think all three sites are well worth visiting, my favourite personally was Karnak Temple which was our last stop, and a great way to finish the tour. We also stopped for a very tasty lunch followed by a 30 minute boat trip across the River Nile.
Both Ahmed and Mahmoud were incredibly polite, professional and kind. The detail and preservation of the sites was very impressive given they stretch back almost 3500 years. With that in mind, this tour and the entry tickets I believe are good value for money and I would recommend this trip to anyone who is thinking about a day out from the hotel to take in some Egyptian history.

What a wonderful day all in. The driver was prompt, car clean with air con. We had 2 drivers during the day and both were equally friendly and very safe. The guide Professor Ahmed Elsisi was truly outstanding. He gave us so much information that helped make the whole day really worthwhile. He got us round all the sites with ease and he seemed to know everyone which helped make our day very special indeed. The lunch that was provided was truly delicious, amongst the best food I have tasted in Egypt. I give this tour, the drivers, the amazing sites and the tour guide 100%. Professor Ahmed Elsisi proved to be an exceptional guide, sharing a wealth of knowledge about Egypt’s history and culture. Throughout the day we explored the Valley of the Kings, watched traditional methods of crafting artefacts, visited the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Karnak, and even enjoyed a peaceful boat ride along the Nile. We also stopped at a lovely restaurant where the food was wonderfully fresh and flavourful.

The tour covered hotel transfers, meals and entry to all the sites. We set off at 5am and returned at around 5pm, and I can honestly say it was the most rewarding twelve-hour trip I’ve ever taken.

The transportation went well, but the rest was not as expected. The guide was always on the phone. He rushed all the visits, On the Valley of the Kings we could only see 3 of the tombs (don't know why). The guide discouraged us to see Tutankhamun tomb even when we said we wanted to see. Karnak was super fast, didn't see everything. The boat ride was a mirage, never happened. Very disappointed.

We had an amazing day led by the knowledgable and friendly professor Ahmed Elsisi who is an Egyptologist. He made sure we moved at our own pace on a very hot day and gave us so much information about ancient Egypt. He also acted as our personal photographer which was great!
We are so glad we booked this private tour instead of a group- it was much more personal and special.
We had two drivers, one who drove us from Hurghada to Luxor, then another who drove us around for the day, then back with our original driver for the way back.

Amazing experience, Samira was excellent. We were picked up from Hurghada in a private car and our driver (Syed) was so kind and friendly. We went with our 5 year old daughter and both Samira and Syed were so kind and thoughtful towards her. It was a very hit day for her and they made sure we had plenty of breaks and shade. Samira was mindful of how much our daughter would be in the sun and tailored our activities to be enjoyable for her and us. Our daughter loved the boat ride on the Nile. My husband enjoyed the history and I also enjoyed learning about modern Egyptian life from Samira too. She really cared about pur experience and we had a fantastic time.

We had an incredible day in Luxor with our guide, Maddalena. There were four of us in the group, and she made the whole experience very enjoyable. She’s genuinely passionate about Egypt’s history and explained everything in a clear, engaging way, from the details inside the kings’ tombs to the stories behind the temples. You can tell she really loves what she does and is very knowledgable. Maddalena answered every question, and even shared some great local tips. We never felt rushed, we were given time to look around at the sites we visited and the pace of the tour was adjusted to our needs.
We visited the alabaster factory but opted out of the spices market and it was not a problem.
The lunch at a local restaurant was nice and we were also provided with fresh water and soft drinks throught the day. Overall a great tour to take if you are staying in Hurghada and want every detail to be taken care for during your visit in Luxor.

We booked this tour after reading positive reviews and I can only say good things. Our driver Mamood was already at the hotel reception when we got there 15 minutes early. The best possible start. The car was clean and comfortable and his driving was perfect. Very safe and courteous. We picked up our guide close to the Valley of the Kings. Professor Ahmed Elsisi is simply brilliant. He had all the knowledge and had a wonderful way of delivering it in the way we wanted. He instantly learned what we wanted from our trip and delivered above and beyond even adding a little extra stop or two (that we agreed) to make the day even more informative and complete. Our driver and tour guide were fantastic, the car journey was comfortable and the guide was very knowledgeable about the sites. There is plenty of time to tour the sites and take photos.
It is a shame everywhere has people asking for money - whether it’s offering to take a photo, or let you see a closed off area, just say no unless you have plenty of cash to dish out.
Dinner was a lovely buffet style - all Egyptian food we’ve enjoyed this trip.
The alabaster trip to see alabaster being made it just a sales pitch to purchase something.
In October the felucca boat was replaced with a speedboat as there isn’t enough wind for the felucca. I was expecting a cruise up and down the Nile but we just sort of floated the width of it.
All in all a good day and very pleased to have seen these sites.

What an amazing day, very much worth the extra money to take the private tour. My husband and I were looked after so well and guided by the expert Professor Ahmed Elsisi, he is knowledgeable and friendly, he took care of the photos so we could enjoy being in the moment! The sights are breathtaking and construction mind boggling given the age!
Everything was perfect tho if I could change 1 thing it would be loose the boat trip, it did not add to the day and the drivers were pushy for tips (uncomfortably so)
Drivers for transfer were very professional and friendly too

Our brilliant driver Ahmed Salah and our excellent Egyptologist Professor Ahmed Elsisi took me and my mum on a fantastic tour of the Valley of the kings and the wider Luxor Area.
We were taken to Luxor in a comfortable air-conditioned car with Ahmed salah stopping for breaks and getting us water and snacks.
They both gave us the time we needed to really explore this historic areas and we had a really good time with the both of them.
I would highly recommend this trip to everyone and make sure to ask tor this driver and this Egyptologist

We had the team of Ahmed Salah (driver) and Prof Ahmed Elsisi (Egyptologist) on this very hot day tour in Luxor. Ahmed was a great driver. We started the day in El Gouna and he got us to Luxor in 4 hours with a couple stops. He brought water and drinks for us which was amazing in the 107° day. Prof Ahmed was extremely knowledgeable and told stories to go along with the history. It made the day very interesting. We visited all the temples and were able to customize the tour. Overall, I would recommend this tour to anyone. It is a long day but definitely worth it.

Excellent trip with a great guide, Abdul. He was so friendly and really informative. Our 10 year old son was captivated and loved the stories and the history.
The sites were fantastic to see, though we couldn't stay out too long in the >45°C heat. Nice lunch, relaxing trip on the Nile. All in all, a great day out.
Our driver, also called Abdul, was also friendly and pleasant, but didn't speak much English.
