An Amazing Way to Discover Hurghada with Ahmed Alexander 👍🏻💯🔝
Our private city tour with Ahmed Alexander was absolutely wonderful. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, relaxed, and very informative. Ahmed Alexander shared great insights that helped us truly understand and experience Hurghada beyond the tourist spots.
He was incredibly professional and at the same time warm and approachable. Traveling alone with my 11-year-old daughter, I really appreciated how safe, comfortable, and well looked after we felt the entire tour. Ahmed was very flexible and happy to adjust the tour to our wishes, which made it feel truly personal.
This tour gave us a real sense of the city and its atmosphere. I would confidently recommend Ahmed to anyone visiting Hurghada — an excellent guide and a memorable experience.

We visited Hurghada in June 2025 and stayed at a resort located some distance from the main city. We booked this tour with the intention of exploring key attractions within the central area. The itinerary was followed as advertised, including pick-up and drop-off from our hotel, and visits to a mosque, the marina, a church, and a shopping centre. However, the experience fell short of expectations. The guide appeared impatient and lacked substantial knowledge about the sites we visited. Although the tour was scheduled to last four hours, it was cut short to approximately three, leaving us with minimal time to explore the marina and shopping centre at our own pace. I got the impression the Guide was more interested in sharing his taste in music and getting to his next job.

Had a great experience. Tour guide was excellent, showed us around the city, fish market, took us to the Mosque and explained to us the history of it. A little bit of shopping and back to the resort. Well worth it. Highly recommended

Nice guy but didn’t seem enthusiastic about giving us a tour and felt rushed and 2 stops was only because he had a partnership with them for us to shop and wanted us to spend money. The mosque was the only great experience. The marina he told us it was only for rich people which made us feel uncomfortable because we make good money in America but he told us to walk to the end and he will pick us up at the end of the marina. Not very inclusive as a tour guide.

My husband and I have enjoyed many tours using Viator in many countries around the world. sadly this tour was a major disappointment.
Our guide started with a trip around the coast and this was enjoyable, we stopped for views. We then drove on towards the town. Parked outside the fish market and we went in for a look round. The guide did not come in with us. He told us to meet him over at the mosque. We walked to mosque and met the guide. He said that I needed to wear a supplied dress and head cover. This surprised me as in our hotel I was told that if I wore a long dress with sleeves I would only need to cover my hair, no problem. The guide then told me that this would cost 3 euro, however I did not see anyone collecting money. Your tour details indicate that a visit to the mosque is free. The guide did not take us into the mosque or provide any information about it. The reason for buying a tour was to get information about Hurgada and the town etc.
The tour information also says we will visit the Saint Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church - we were not taken to the church.
Just a very, very disappointing experience.
Don't waste your money
But overall we would recommend Viator.

We really enjoyed our Hurghada city tour with shopping. Muhammed was a great guide—he knew a lot about Hurghada’s history and took us to all the key spots. The tour was a good mix of walking and driving, so we got to see a lot without feeling too tired.
Hurgada is only about 70 years old, which was a surprise to us. We visited the mosque, an Orthodox church, the fish market, the marina, a panoramic viewpoint, and a souvenir "mall". The "mall" was perfect for tourists—everything had marked prices, so no need to haggle, and the prices were very affordable.
Muhammed was kind and spoke both Italian and English, which was ideal for our group. Our driver was also great and made the tour smooth and comfortable.
Overall, it was a great way to see Hurghada, and we would definitely recommend it!

Our guide was amazing he was very good and informative took us to the mosque and told us a lot about the town and it's history he took us to a wonderful shop with oils and also took us to a great souvenir shop he was soo friendly and I would highly recommend him to everyone

This trip started off on a very negative note as the driver walked past us and ignored us several times whilst asking everyone else around us if they were on the tour. Once he ran out of other guests he then told us that we were rude as he had already asked us if we were on his tour.
Our guide was not from Hurghada and did not have much information about the areas we visited, if any information at all
Understandably English is not his first language but neither of us could understand what he was on about as he kept switching to Arabic midway through his sentence.
The guide seemed very uninformed of where we should be going and what we should be doing.
There is an additional tax for this tour, which I was made aware of upon booking (£5 each however we paid in dollars and £13 total was pre agreed with Yaasmin), once in the car with the guide tried to charge us in Euros and was not happy when we informed him of the pre agreed price from the tour operator.
'market 1' - nefratiti
An organic 'market' essentialy a shopping mall for organic beauty products. My partner and I have asthma so we couldn't last more than 1 minute in the shop - no fault of the guide but we were expecting an actual market not a shop.
'market 2' - Nile pharaohs souvenir shop
Packed to the bring with tourists and overpriced, mass produced, made in china products. Great if you want that kind of thing.

There were only two of us, it’s more like a private tour. We have been to the mosque, the port and the fish market. We made a special request the guide to take us to try Egyptian food. At the end in a souvenir shop . The driver was always nearby, which saved a lot of time. The guide has shown his excellent knowledge about the history and culture in Hurghada. He speaks English very well. Thank you for our guide - Muhammed. it was very nice and we definitely recommend it :)

I highly recommend this tour, they are very professional. Pickup and drop off service was very good. Our tour guide Rana was excellent, well mannered and explained everything perfectly. She also helped us in arranging other tours and kept in touch throughout making sure everything run smoothly. We had a fantastic time and their service is highly commendable.

Our guided tour with Muhammed Shaker was pleasant and enjoyable. He is a kind, polite and intelligent guy who showed us tourist attractions and some places popular among the local residents. Visiting a fish market and a local bazar was an interesting and exotic experience. The highlight of the tour was Muhammed’s soulful reading of The Quran in the El-mina mosque.

Our "tour" was under 2 hours. Our driver really couldn't speak English. The longest stop was a shop of his friend. We went by the main mosque. I went into the coptic church. We went to the marina and that was it. I could have saved money by taking a cab.

Was a very nice tour, we were happy to learn about and see Hurghada from a different viewpoint than just our hotel. The fish market and the mosque were highlights for us as well as the Marina. We had a 4 and 5 year old with us and they also enjoyed seeing everything so can also recommend for children as well!
