What To Expect

Your tour starts with pickup from your hotel in Hurghada (pickup from other destinations available on request) and a short transfer to the marina. On arrival, hop aboard the boat and admire the scenery on the about 20-minute cruise to Orange Bay on Giftun Island.

Enjoy two hours relaxing on the bay’s sandy beaches (sun loungers and beach umbrellas provided) and swimming in the warm waters of the Red Sea before returning to the boat. After a stop for lunch (included), it’s time to enjoy snorkeling along the island’s colorful corals. You’ll stop at two different snorkel sites, where you’ll have the chance to spot tropical fish and other marine life.

After a fun day at sea, the boat returns to the marina around 4pm, and you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.

We had a great day with Mido and his colleagues. The staff were the friendliest ever. They looked after us well and kept us entertained all day. We had two stops for snorkelling and were also taken to see dolphins in the bay before we had an afternoon stop at Orange Bay. We were given an extra bag of snacks on arrival because we had booked direct through Viator. The lunch offering could be improved in quality slightly however don’t let this stop you booking with the company as it was adequate and we had an immensely enjoyable day.

If you're in Hurghada and you get to do this trip, it's well worth it. Fabulous boat, very attentive team (but not overbearing) and Orange Bay is absolutely stunning. On the way back, the dolphins came out to play and stayed with us for a while. I suggest booking directly through Viator and there is a marked difference in price if you book through agents in the resort.

Get boat trip to orange Bay

We booked a boat trip to Orange Bay in Hurghada via Viator . I have to say it was so easy to book and a very good price . From being picked up from our hotel to getting on the boat . Being handed out snacks for the day which were included along with lunch and drinks . This trip was so much more from snorkelling, Banana boat ride and going to the beautiful island . All the guys on the tour were amazing , made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them . Highly recommend booking this trip .

Orange Bay is worth the trip

Make sure that you bring some extra cash with you as there is a levy or extra tax for visiting the nature's area which will have to pay before you board the boat. Also make sure that you bring a towel with you for drying yourself after the two snorkel stops which are on reach to Orange Bay. You might also need some extra cash for buying ice creams or any other items from the gift shops located on Orange Bay, which is an additional charge outside of the payment made for the trip. All in all a good experience. And a little bit extra to tip your guide. Loaded structure, crew etc is always appreciated

Excellent cheap trip

Very good and trustworthy had a brilliant day. Very cheap compared to booking it through the hotels reps. However due to us travelling from madaki we had to pay an additional 5 euro each and 5 euro each for environmental fees too. In total an extra 20 euro, however this didn’t bother us as it was cheap anyways and well worth the money. They picked us up on time, nice bus. Took us to the marina where we boarded the boat, and taken to Orange Bay. We stayed there an hour and half, it was brilliant. We then boarded the boat again and had some lunch (a lot better than expected), we then were taken to 2 incredible snorking spots. All snorking gear was provided. Then taken back to the arena where a go on the banana boat was offered. Overall an amazing experience, one to remember. Staff super friendly too. Thank you for an amazing time

Beautiful but packed

This was an overall nice day spent on the boat doing activities but it felt a bit like a money making scheme. Pros: - nice boat and crew for the most part (the captain was constantly screaming abuse at the crew) - great experience snorkeling but due to the number of people it was less enjoyable - orange bay beach was beautiful - food was decent, as was the tea served along with Fanta, Coke, sprite and instant coffee - we got some snacks and water bottles when we got on the boat Cons: - on the booking it says to be ready for pick up at 8:30, after booking we were told to be ready for 8:10. In the end they came at 8:30 so we all lost sleep - we spent about 40 mins in the car driving around picking people up - the snorkeling gear is of the MOT.basoc quality - you'll be herded as a group the entire day, the only free time will be on the island and even that is strongly recommended to be confined to a specific area with a specific bar they get commission from, all in USD, all cash, expensive cocktails - we only had an hour and a half or so in the actual island which was the entire point so it was very short. You either swim and take pics or chill with a drink but no time for both - we didn't receive any more water after the initial bottle at 9am and the trip ended at 16:00 - due to the boat being crowded and overbooked, the water activities at the end were completely cancelled in order to get everyone off the boat quickly before the inspector arrived - we ended up then waiting for 15 minutes in the hot sun for our ride back to the hotel because they were not prepared - a lot of time was spent taking in water videos and photos offered but at expensive prices,I wanted one or two underwater videos as a souvenir and was told it would be €40 whereas I have friends that have all gotten some for €10, beware - local ice cream that costs LE30 was offered for $3 USD Overall it was a nice day, but I don't think I'd do it again. All of the tourist trap moments and cancellations/changes/ delays really made the experience less and less enjoy. The tour guide also wasn't present with us after the water bottles were handed out after getting on the boat, didn't hear from him again except to ask for reviews which were asked for along with tips before they informed us that the water sports activities were cancelled and we'd be taken back to the port. The contact who organised it did call one of us to offer the water sports for the next day as a recompense but it was a Monday and we were leaving. He was apologetic.

Awesome guide, not sure but remember him as mr Memo. Really helpful staff, they make sure the group stays together, so perfect for the ones that are not so good at snorkeling. Drinks included, food included, enough snorkel material for everyone.

The staff were very friendly and great fun, we got picked up from our hotel but got into the wrong transfer by mistake but our tour operator contacted us and arranged a taxi to pick us up free of charge and take us to the boat that was waiting. There’s lots of good activities to do and snacks, drinks and lunch provided. Also great photographers on board to do little photo shoots which you can purchase too

Had a nice day trip, Funtime 2 boat kept really clean, very attentive staff & lovely lunch. A little disappointed with the snorkelling time but that was due to the sea being rough on our 2 stops but can’t help the weather! Best day of our holiday. Moaaz our guide was excellent from start to finish. Pick up from hotel, warmly welcomed when arriving at boat. Boat was stunning, we were a small group and had loads of room to sit or sunbathe. Had 2 stops for snorkelling everything other than a towel was provided. Excellent lunch then on to the island. The whole day was excellent and surpassed any expectations we had. I highly recommend this trip Moaaz and his cousin to everyone who visits Hurghada. We enjoyed the team so much we booked another day trip with them as soon as we got off the boat.

Very great trip! Our captain and the rest of the staff did their best to make the whole trip perfect! My wife and I can't swim, but the staff encouraged us to wear life jackets and take part in the guided snorkeling. Orange Bay was great, the blue ocean was stunning and the sun was soothing on the beach. Overall, the whole trip was great in terms of both scenery and service!

Loved this trip, staff and everyone is really friendly, more than enough food to go around. Went to orange Bay, for 2 hours because it was windy the whole boat decided to do only 1 stop for snorkeling and it was enough. Orange Bay is nice, not much to do there but swim and get drinks which are a bit pricey. Got henna done there ! Bring cash as there is no card machines or arms. Snorkeling was fun and the banana ride lasts about 20 seconds just going round in a circle. Bought pictures from photographer at a reasonable price, but sent to what's app so no actual digital photos. But happy regardless, some beautiful shots we will print out and keep for life.
