Amazing experience

Had an amazing experience a must do, they don’t speak much English but the WhatsApp person can answer all your needs. Hope you love Vietnam as much as we did :)

Disappointed

We booked this tour last minute as we wanted to explore country side. Our guide was on time. We were taken to the starting point to pick up the bikes, upon picking up the bikes we realised how rusted the bikes were and my husbands bike chain kept slipping we didn’t mention as didn’t want to slow down the group. Our guide asked us to make him stop if we need to but he kept riding in front no way there was way to signal him to stop. Buffalo looked happy and relaxed but we didn’t ride due to personal reasons however we did get to feed the buffalo. We then went for a boat ride, it was fun but the water was disgusting and smelly. The guide separated me and my husband and made us seat on a different boat (had no idea why he did that as I didn’t even mention anything about being dizzy) he then said don’t worry you will be switched back but the boat driver continued until I had to raise my voice and said I want to seat with my husband STOP THE BOAT. We were then taken to very basic cooking class, and rice milk making. Was very quick demonstration following cooking with another lady chef. Our lunch was prepared and we set to have our lunch. The food was SO OILY!! Literally dripping in butter/oil. The salad was nice. But rice cake and spring rolls were swimming in oil. We were surprised that the tour guid was also eating from our lunch that we paid for, all of us was very shocked as I have never seen this happen in any other tours I have done previously. Apparently he was very hungry as he didn’t have lunch! (Common! Are you serious!) he just didn’t care, kept going for the food, felt sorry for the other group as it was their dish he was being very inconsiderate. We rode the bike back to the hotel in the dark with mosquitos flying in our eyes and mouth (yak) even though we were offered taxi fare back but what’s point in catching taxi when we paid for cycling experience. Very poor customer experience and will not be recommending. Such a disappointment.

Firstly, I sincerely apologize for your feeling with my experience did not meet your expectation 🙏 We are so sad for rated 1 start although We tried our best to bring you an authentic experience. We arranged tour in the last minute, prepared vegetarian meal and take you to laundry although the way is not convenience We are sorry for bike problem in the beginning of tour but it was fixed immediately and our tour guide was aware of this problem all of the tour time. Regarding the basket boat, your husband said that he is a tiktoker so he would like to experience spinning boat to make a video and you didn't like that. So we separate for your husband enjoy spinning boat and after that you and your husband sit on the same boat to have sightseeing in coconut forest all of the boat trip. About the food, we served the local dishes with local method. Pancake and spring rolls have to cook with oily, that is the traditional way that all local chef cook. Our tour guide is polite person. He is NOT allowed to eat with customers if they are not agreed by customers. He had the lunch with 2 other guests who joined this tour with you after invited. We had a great time!! The tour operator was ver accommodating getting us private transport from our hotel in Da Nang to meet with our guide, Hoang. Hoang showed us many types of local plants and herbs, guided us on bike to meet a cute black “tiger”. We learned how to farm rice. The bamboo boats was next. Catching crabs is really fun!! Then we got to cook and have a beautifully prepared meal. We biked back to old town hoi an. It was already dark, so I would not suggest that with younger children. Book the morning tour. Great experience!!

A wonderful bike ride

We had a wonderful ride today with Koo. He was so knowledgeable and fun. We rode a buffalo, ploughed a paddy field,went in the round boats and caught crabs and had a great lunch at his house. Thanks so much. Thoroughly recommend it.
