I am really glad I bought this packaging. Hobart is a beautiful city and this is the best way to see everything in a relaxing, stress-free way.
The KunayiMt Wellington Tour bus takes you to the top of the mountain even when roads are closed due to snow and ice. The view from the top is amazing. It's freezing though and the winds are very strong, but definitely worth going. The guide we had was really passionate about his work, and it was very enjoyable having him.
The Hop-On Hop-Off bus is a nice, relaxing way to see the city. Sit on the upper deck to get a better view. I used to think it's just like any other drive around the city, but things look different from a higher angle. It's also good to listen to the audio guide that gives you the history behind each location.

Tony was our driver and guide. He was terrific. He explained many sights along the way. We made various stops along the way, giving us the opportunity to see all that was available along the way. He made suggestions for places to eat when we arrived back in Hobart. And gave us the name of a wonderful chocolate store. Tony is an asset to the company!

It's not a safe place to drive on your own. The HOHO bus is the best way to see Mt. Wellington. Also, be aware that the summit may be covered in dense fog, so you might not see anything.

It was as good, if not better, than how it was described. We both enjoyed it immensely and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Hobart. The emphasis on dressing very warmly was well justified, and we appreciated the experience more because we were dressed appropriately. The ride takes you up to Mount Wellington where the views are spectacular of the Hobart area. It's a winding road and you may get car sick. Price in US$ is high, should have been in AUD$ which would be more reasonable.

We missed the trip up the mountain because Australian Customs took so long. For many people it took hours to get off the ship. We got off early and still missed our mountain tour. We did go on the Hop on hop-off bus. It was very enjoyable. We tried to have lunch at the brewery but they were sold out.

Definitely worthwhile going on the trip. It should definitely run later, especially in Summer, and some of the buses speakers were not good (hard to hear). Automated commentary does need updating, but overall experience was great.

Even though it was raining the driver was super nice explaining everything and trying so we could see as much possible. He has pride on his job and provides excellent customer service. To ensure others were not left behind he ensured the future bus looked for passengers staying behind doing some hikes.

The bus to Mt Wellington was early in the morning and unfortunately due to bad weather and fog there was absolutely nothing to see ..we had to stay on the bus to keep warm.
Hop-on hop off around was great and weather was nice in the afternoon.
I wish we skipped Mt Wellington drive ( 2.5 hrs) and took ferry to MONA instead.
Company was very professional.

Hop on hop off was great busy though since only had 3 buses in operation due fire restrictions and high winds. Unable to get off in fear of not getting on another bus due to amount of people using the the buses. Was not able to see Mt Wellington since it was close due to weather conditions

We understand that it may have been frustrating, however, the advice was given by the Tasmanian Fire Department to close the mountain on this day.
While we strive to provide the best experience possible, sometimes factors beyond our control, such as weather, can impact our tours.
We are glad you enjoyed the hop-on hop-off city tour, the day you travelled there was a cruise ship in port so we had extra buses to accommodate the extra travellers so you would have been absolutely fine hopping off. Something useful to keep in mind for your next trip with us :)

Paul, our driver made the excursion to Mt Wellington one of the best guided tours I have ever experienced. I usually prefer self guided. Paul’s extensive knowledge was invaluable. His factual yet humorous presentation was on point.
After the kunany/Mt. Wellington tour, the hop on - hop off feature allowed us to explore and enjoy more aspects of Hobart fascinating history, architecture, and culture.
We plan to do this excursion on our next trip to Tasmania.
