Marina did an excellent job of guiding the group. She is indeed very aware of the history of Crete and expresses her thoughts in a very engaging manner. One of the best tasting tours I have had in a very long time!

We had a great walking tour with Marina! She was lovely, personable, and very knowledgeable about the history and food! All of the food we tried was delicious and we would highly recommend booking this tour!

If you are on a cruise, you will be 60 kilometers from the pick up point. This was sold as a Crete tour which was very deceiving . When we got off the ship we realized would would miss the start and notified the operator of the issue but they still charged us $666 which was full price. With all of the tours we have taken around the world with this company, I was surprised at the lack of consideration. Not the tour operator's fault

As noted in our tour's title, "Heraklion - Walking city tour with food tasting," this experience is explicitly designed as a local walking tour within the city of Heraklion. Crete is a very large island, with 3 ports that host cruises everyday, the city where your cruise ship docked is located about 60 kilometers away from our location.
Because we reserve limited spots for our tours and prepare the food and wine tastings in advance, last-minute cancellations or no-shows cannot be refunded, in accordance with standard platform policies. .

Our guide was awesome! He worked around our allergies and food preferences and was very knowledgeable about the different types of food and the meaning behind them! He asked lots of questions about our culture and we both got to learn! Overall, we had a great experience and left very full (don’t eat several hours beforehand if you want to make it through).

This was a great intro to Heraklion city center food tour. Marina was a great guide pointing us to all the symbolic locations, but even more so to the food history that Greece is known for. She is well versed in local connections and every place we went felt like being in a friends or family home. Well worth taking this tour, but go hungry, the portions are u we generous !

Highly recommend! This is a fantastic tour with a fantastic guide. Get to know the city while sampling a great variety of Greek food. We had a walking food tour in Athens and this one was 10x better! A perfect combo of food, walking and history with an energetic and knowledgeable your guide, Alex. This is the food tour you want to do in Crete :)

We travel quite a bit and always try to book a food tour to make sure to capture the local culture so we have over a dozen food tours under our belt ( no pun intended ) . We had the chance to book with Marina at the last minute and it was the best tour ever. Not only is she knowledgeable of the area but the food stops were phenomenal. Cleverly chosen on a path of cultural discoveries, the tour ended close to where we were staying so it was very well coordinated. Marina is very passionate about her culture and we witnessed it during this tour. For the first time in our lives we ate a real Gyro and the best lamb the way Cretans actually prepare it. As a bonus, we received several tips for the rest of our trips to this was 5 stars all the way around.

Knowing that Crete is renowned for its agriculture and food scene, we were very much looking forward to this tour. It was a nice enough day, but the tour & menu selections were limited and unremarkable. We typically enjoy the food tasting experiences as a great way to appreciate the culture and lifestyle of the place we are grateful to be visiting and an opportunity to discover places off the beaten path, loved by locals. In this particular instance, our guide's mother was scheduled for surgery that very day, so our guide was understandably distracted. We wish the family the best. Perhaps had she not been faced with that stressor, our tour would have been better. It wasn't a bad day, but there was nothing special about it.

Incredible food! Marina gave us a wonderful food tour in Heraklion! Super delicious and an AMAZING amount of food! She also told us about the history of the area. This was a lovely way to learn about the history of the city and enjoy traditional food from family run restaurants. Alex was just brilliant he called me earlier in the morning to see if it was possible to rearrange our date as the tour we had originally booked on was very busy with cruise ship people and he wanted it to be less busy. We had our own private tour and when he found out what our interests were he made some adjustments to show us extra places. I can honestly say that he couldn’t have made it any better. We ended the trip with some extra impromptu drinks with him and Mateo and can’t recommend it enough.

I had a great time on this tour! Marina was a wonderful guide and a fun person to chat with. We went to 3 different restaurants, each with varying flavors, and got some history of the city mixed in on the walk between each spot. The food itself was fantastic, and I learned about some new dishes that I'll definitely be ordering again!

This was such a great food tour! Marina was an amazing host. Even though I was the only person who signed up that night, she still took me around the city solo, and we had a blast. She showed me all of the local and historic spots of Crete. We stopped for photos by the water as the sun was setting, and we had wonderful conversation the entire time. I tasted such delicious food and ended the night with a wine tasting of incredible wines. Marina is just the sweetest, and I couldn’t recommend this tour more. I was so happy to make a new friend in Greece :)

If you want to be treated as family and have an amazing experience, this is the tour for you. The tour takes you through so e history and ahopping, but the real highlight is the food and wine.

Marina was our tour guide. We did not feel she was prepared for the tour. She had us walking in circles and going to a place that was closed. With only 30 minutes remaining in the timeframe for which the tour was scheduled, we had only stopped at one place for food when 10 different dishes were advertised. When I asked about the food, we finally stopped at a place where we received the remaining dishes and service was exceptionally slow. Not recommended
