We had a great day learning about wine, olives and olive trees, and mythology from Nikos!!! We tasted some excellent olive oils and wines and learned of Nikos’ personal experiences and that of his family as stewards of these magnificent trees and their history and importance to Crete.

For all you passengers on cruise ships, this is a perfect tour to go with to be able to see & experience all of Crete in a day. The communication was great and very accommodating by helping us arrange a few of our cruise friends to all be in the same van together. Spyros, a true Cretan who knew everyone on the island was an excellent host & guide. He was informative and took us to all the local places sharing the cretan lifestyle and beautiful wineries. The Olive Oil factory was amazing! Perfect tour to see and learn all about Crete. If I could give this tour 10stars I would!

A Tour for the Senses

What a wonderful day we had with Spyros. From the spanakopitas that he brought to kick off our tour, to the iced Greek coffee and pastry, to the fresh Greek yogurt and honey, his personalized attention and care was elevated. Beauty was everywhere and he gave us a real appreciation for the culture and way of life. The mountains were gorgeous and the plateau lush. When carsickness overtook a couple of us, he produced two perfectly ripe lemons and instructed us to scratch and sniff the peel. Sure enough, it was a magical cure! The olive oil factory gave us a next level appreciation for the process and taste. The pottery workshop was a nice stop too. The winery was beautiful and we enjoyed a nice tasting and lunch. This was a tour for the senses and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience real Crete.

Embrace the Cretan lifestyle!

Where do i start! My husband and I came for our honeymoon and really wanted to experience the authentic Cretan culture and we got just that! Stravos was our guide and he was so welcoming and accommodating! We were taken to an olive making factory to learn about the production process of olive oil which was very informative. Then had the opportunity to interact with locals in multiple villages around! We ended the trip visiting a wine vineyard which was gorgeous overlooking the Agean sea! Breathtaking! We tried a variety and wines and learned techniques to really get the full wine tasting experience! Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing day…. The Cretan way of course!
