Overview

Costa Rica’s jungles are bursting with a variety of plant and animal species, including over 850 species of birds. During this small-group tour, head out early in the morning for a bird watching tour. Birds!!!

We were delighted with our experience! Our naturalist guide- Julio - was knowledgeable and passionate and keen to share. We stopped and saw a huge variety of birds (My Merlin Life List was on fire!!) and the included breakfast was delicious! Well worth the early wake up and I would definitely go again! Great activity for birders of all levels!

Alejandro was very knowledgeable and warm and friendly. He was able to point out over 30 species of birds with us and was great with my grandson who came long.

I’ve never been on a bird watching tour before, so I don’t know how it compares, but I will say that it was really good. Our guide, Mauricio, was great - seemed to really know how to find birds, pointing out birds that we had no idea were right there. He mimicked their calls, and they would answer (and also faked out the Merlin app). It was pretty amazing. One down side is that the tour is in an active cattle ranch, so you have to watch where you step. The breakfast at the end was really good too. Highly recommended.
