We had a picturesque spectacular view while having our local traditional Turkish breakfast. Worse experience for the money. The ad is not true. They take you 30 minutes over a valley of NOTHING TO SEE. At a long distance you can see the other balloons over the “Fairy Chimneys” which is what you really come to see. Well they will charge you to see a field for 30 minutes.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BALLOON RIDE!!!

We were under the impression that this was in Goreme and that we would be flying with all the other balloons and over the fairy towers which would be part of the experience. We did not. We were in a complete other area with only two other balloons nearby.

Unfortunately/fortunately we didn’t get on. We were collected at 3:50am. Weather seemed ok. As we got closer we saw the balloons up in the air. So graceful.
That day we were turned away. Unfortunately a pilot was injured & all flights were cancelled thereafter. Grateful for safety first.

Indeed, on that day, due to an incident involving another operator, the Civil Aviation Authority made the decision to cancel all remaining flights to ensure everyone's safety. We're truly sorry your flight was affected, but grateful for your patience and support of the safety-first approach.
As for your refund — since your booking was made through Viator/Tripadvisor, the refund is processed directly by their system. It should appear on your account within 3 to 5 business days, depending on your bank's processing time.

Our experience was ruined by the end of the flight when they decide to make a brindis, throwing the wine all over us , ruining our clothes .

This hot air balloon is inexpensive but you will not fly in the valley with all the other balloons. You get picked up and taken to a remote area far away from the valley of the balloons. The champagne given (if you can call that champagne!) was a pink water like to meet the commitment of giving champagne. Spend a little more and get the real experience.

This was a last minute booking to achieve a dream flight!… This company was affordable and had availability few hours before and I could not be more thankful for this. They replied promptly to accommodate our pick up time right at my hotel. Professionals and very thoughtful of the people participating in this adventure. Not recommendable. First of all, you need to insist a lot for the operator to send you the details. They picked me up at 4:00, we went to the place, and after waiting for 1 hour in the middle of nowhere, they told us that the hot air balloon ride had to be cancelled due to wind, of course it is understandable, however, when coming back to the hotel, we saw hundreds of balloons flying over Cappadocia, we asked if would it be possible to try in that location (Goreme) and they didn’t even answer. To keep in mind that this ride takes place in a remote place where there are no other balloons flying so it wouldn’t be so nice anyway. The good part is that the fully refunded me.

If I could give a 0 I would.
From the pick up to flight, to the cheap wine and drop back to motel it was all very underwhelming.
We were all collected and had no communication from the driver or the pilot until we were in the basket. Even then the safety briefing was short and sweet. The flight was under whelming as the pilot again gave little to no information about the area or even history on the balloon itself. After the flight they rushed us to have half a glass of cheap nasty wine before pushing us into the van again.
Would not recommend this company at all!!! Do not do a flight over cat valley, and do your research for the Goreme tours instead.

Terrible, they don't use the route of the valley. The balloon pass over areas that there is no Cappadocia rocks and far away from famous landscapes. Not recommend. You pay cheap and not see anything. The captain does not explain anything.

Experience was so much fun, mind blowing.

The balloon flight was not the one we booked as it was cancelled because only 2 people booked so it was changed from capacity of 16-18 to up to 28 capacity
I didn’t feel like it was an upgrade as informed by the tour company however I was relieved to do the balloon flight as most got cancelled due to bad weather
The crewe and driver who took us to and from the balloon flight do an amazing job from start to finish - it’s incredible how such a feat like this is organised so well
The views were amazing - loved it all but I was disappointed that I didn’t get to do the cat valley which I thought I paid extra for

If you visit Cappadocia this is a must do activity. We stayed at Goreme and the tour operator was kind enough to pick and drop us at the hotel. Bear in mind that everyone we inquired about the tour told us almost twice the charge compared to this Viator deal and we were happy to save.
The pilot was well trained and flew the balloon well giving us views of the valley. I would recommend this tour.

Balloon ride was easy to book & we got informed of what the pick up time will, etc thrue the website messenger.
Something to be aware of - not that it bothered us. This balloon ride was in CAT valley which is slightly further away from the main place GOREME where many balloons take off. Hence its CHEAPER (half-price) to do it in CAR Valley but takes 50-60mins drive. That day in CAT valley there were only 5 balloons while we could see the cluster of balloons at a distant in GOREME area. Everything else was same as we have few fellow passengers who went to GOREME so we compared notes.
We had smaller basket 18 people while GOREME balloons were typically 28-30 people baskets.

This tour is for a great price. It is 40 mins away from cappadocia center over a valley with beautiful views. The trip is completed early, so we can return early abd take pics at the main cappodicia Ballon fest after that.

The flight lasted 45 mins long, the captain did not speak fluent English, and hence did not understand my conversation, which is imperative if you ask a tourist.

It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend it. It's around the Cat Valley, so beware; it won't be around Goreme's famous hot air balloon picture area, but it's worth it. The views and scenes were breathtaking. Crew were really lovely and super informative.

Nothing I would do again. Not worth the money.
Be aware that the valley is in the middle of nowhere, far away from everything, including this fancy images you usually see from hot air balloon flights in Cappadocia, and that there is no interesting landscape.
This is a flight you can do in every country as long as there is a bit nature.

I gave one star just because it’s not in the place you think it is. It’s not the area where it’s full of air balloons. It’s actually in the opposite side and when I went there there was only other hot air balloon. It says in the description thats in in çhat valley and I didn’t know that so I was pretty disappointed. Not their fault or anything btw. I just didn’t know it wasnt gonna be the same. Make sure you don’t book if thats where you want to go. Staff were extremely friendly and nice. picked us the same time they promised and the ride was fun. We had really professional staff and enjoyed non alcoholic champagne at the end.

The organization and performance of the flight was excellent. The minibus came to pick us up at the agreed time, drove us safely to the place where we flew and drove us back home from there. The flight was conducted professionally, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend!

I rate the overall experience is 4. Service starting from driver pickup on time, and the ballon captain was very nice. We had a challenging landing due to sudden weather conditions change but the captain was so nicely handled the situation.
