Our driver and guide, Michelle, was extremely friendly and accommodating, so that everyone in the bus was able to visit the stops they wanted to. I was traveling solo but met other women who were as well - and by the end of the day, it felt like traveling with friends. The day was really fun and easy - trying wines, shopping, and enjoying a beautiful sunset view from the mountain!

I had read mixed reviews and had received mixed messages about the hotel pick up ( Viator vs pineapple tours) and was slightly confused as to locations to hop off and on but it turned out to be a wonderful experience made even better by the fantastic cool sunshine !
The tour company whatsapped me 1-2 days before the tour to confirm that they would indeed pick me from my hotel which wasn’t in the list. Mel was punctual and efficient and very accommodating . Anthony - the hop on and off bus driver was ever so patient and helpful and tried his best to make sure we all had a good time. The Cedar falls walk and skywalk are worth doing as you get to enjoy the forest air and ancient trees. Gallery walk has really interesting shops and Anthony was great with his food recommendations. Thank you for a wonderful day out!
Suggest picking up a Mt Tamborine visitor guide and researching before heading up. Very little information available from the tour operator.
Trip to and from the mountain excellent but on the day we went very disorganised at the changeover point for the hop on/off service wasting quite a bit of time while they got drivers and buses sorted.

Thank you for your feedback. With so much to see and do on Tamborine Mountain, we recommend reviewing the attractions beforehand or picking up a visitor guide. Our guides are also happy to provide recommendations and help plan your stops on the day.
We’re sorry the changeover felt disorganised during your visit. Changeovers are normally completed in around 5-10 minutes, as our guides may need a few moments to assist other guests and coordinate vehicles. We appreciate your patience and are pleased you enjoyed the journey to and from the mountain.

this is a great way to get to and from tambourine mountain but it is not a true hop on hop off experience. You need to choose 3 attractions. Also when I booked it was not clear that i could have booked a wine tour or paid for the glow worm tour.. I was very happy that we were able to get picked up from the JW marriott gold coast resort although it wasn’t on the hotel list

Thank you for your comments, you are correct, it's not a traditional Hop On Hop Off - we are in the thinking of changing the name as it is confusing - it's more of a 'tour on demand'. Now you've done the tour, any suggestions for names? We'll give you naming rights.!! :)
We had an amazing experience, there were a few things that were disorganized and can be improved on, but it was nothing that negatively impacted our experience.
The experience was terrible. Was advised of pickup at 9.10am but was 9.30. No commentary from driver at all. Arrived Mt Tamborine and was told ‘I’m only the driver, tell me what you want to do’
He talked as if you were familiar with the place but as a first visitor I had no idea what to do. He didn’t seem to know what he was doing either.

Regarding the delayed pickup, traffic in the city can occasionally cause timing issues, particularly during peak periods. We send a confirmation text to every guest the evening before so that we can communicate directly about any changes or delays and ensure everyone is kept informed.
I would also like to clarify that the driver on your tour has been with us for more than ten years. He knows the mountain extremely well and is very familiar with every attraction, route and timing requirement. When he asks guests whether they have a plan, it is simply to understand whether you prefer to follow your own itinerary or would like recommendations from him. Many guests arrive with specific places they want to prioritise, while others prefer suggestions. He is always able to provide information, guidance and local knowledge, however the experience does rely on a basic level of communication and courtesy between guests and staff so that he can understand your preferences and assist accordingly.
Our service is a flexible Hop On Hop Off model rather than a structured guided tour. This means you decide which attractions you want to visit and how long you would like to spend at each location. If more explanation was needed about how the service works, that is something we will reinforce with the team so that all guests feel fully supported from the moment they board.
We appreciate your feedback and will continue to refine our communication at the start of the day to ensure that first-time visitors receive clear guidance and feel confident about how to make the most of their time on Tamborine Mountain.

Anthony our driver was knowledgeable, provided details of activities that we could participate in throughout the day, was always available to pick up and drop off again. Wonderful day.
Hop on Hop Off, but the drivers go the extra mile for you. They treat you like you are a personal charter.
Graham, first driver from Brisbane was on time, very friendly and helpful.
Then when you get to Tambourine Mountain you meet up with a different driver to take you personally to your chosen hike or location.
Andy, was very friendly and managed to take you where you want to go. Gives you advice as to what you should do. Then organizes everyone’s day to make sure it includes what you need to do while on the mountain.
Great guy. All the while, informing you of the highlights, while on Tambourine Mountain.
Both drivers go above and beyond. Normal Hop on Hop Off, the driver is just responsible for driving you around only. These guys go the extra mile with a smile.
This really shouldn’t be called a hop on hop off tour as it’s misleading. You are really just following a tour schedule that’s been pre-decided by the company and there’s little freedom to do what you want to do. The description says you can tailor your day, spend as much time as you want at each point you want to stop at and catch the next bus. That’s not how it works.

A fabulous day. Tour guides were very friendly and informative and couldn't do enough for us. It was great interacting with the other passengers with it being such a small group.
A well coordinated hop on hop off tour of Tambourine. Small area but Scotty ensured that we see it all. He was quite flexible with personnel request overall a great experience.
Terry our driver was great. Suggest you check with driver what sites they are taking you to & the options if you go with another driver as this was not explained. However Terry ensured he took us to some other sites close by whilst we waited for passengers on a tour. Tambourine Mountain had so many great places to see, scenic ride to the mountain, we all had a catnap on the way home as it was a big day, but a great one.

The tour guides are lovely, and go to a great effort to ensure everyone is accommodated. However, it felt like we had a different schedule advertised to what the guide had. We only had 40 minutes to walk the skywalk, and for the waterfall. Which was enough time to complete the walk but would have been nice to spend more time for photography. We never saw the distillery which was described as the last stop.
Still a lovely day, but not quite what we expected.

We do offer quite a large range of tours but the tour you booked was the Hop on Hop off bus. Whilst it has the ability to go to absolutely any attraction on the mountain you do need a little bit of planning if you’d like to fit in as much as possible. You can spend as much time as you’d like at each stop but the longer you do spend the less stops you will see. There is no set itinerary or “last stop” as you’ve described, the bus travels around the mountain on demand as needed.
We did 3 hikes in Tambourine Mountain. We really enjoyed the Witches Falls hike and the Rain Forest Skywalk. The scenery is beautiful. Michelle and Anthony of Pineapple Tours were great hosts!
Very disappointing tour. Our guide Andy was nice and tried his best through the company’s sad excuse for tours but it was an absolute disorganized mess.
We got to a winery even though that wasn’t the tour we signed up for and they could not figure out which guide had which tour and we wasted so much time with them all over the place not knowing what people were doing what tour and what was going on. We hardly got time to even see the things we actually paid a lot of money to see.
Plans literally kept changing on where we were going constantly so we just sat on the bus while they went back and forth instead of spending time seeing what we paid to see. They advertised “flexible schedule so you get more time to see what you want” and that’s absolutely not true. One minute we were told we got over an hour at the gallery the next we suddenly get taken to garden for only 30 min. We did not even get an hour at any spot and some only 20-30 min. The whole day was rushed and all over the place.
Waste of money and absolutely unorganized - only good part is Tamborine is very pretty to see and our guide Andy he was very nice and at least tried his best. This company is so disorganized and has all these your options to add to tours and different tour options then they throw all those different tours on the same bus with no actual plan. Don’t wast your money. Hoping we can get at least a partial refund for this mess.

We opted for the hop on off option. A bit confusing at our first stop as no explanation and I think we thought all on same trip. Once Mint explained the order of the day things livened up! After that we got the vibe. Recommend

Tour guide was very helpful. We got to see a few different things all in one day, which was perfect!
Would recommend highly. We did Tamborine Mount, It’s the most beautiful place, Witches Falls Winery. sample tasting, St Bernards pub great meals, Gallery walk we could have spent all day walking around and browsing in the shops.
When you visit the coast you must experience this wine tasting tour! My family and I enjoyed it so much! We tasted so many different wines and they luck was spectacular! It was such a great experience. Shout out to our tour guide Michelle who made us feel like we were hanging out with family. She was so knowledgeable of the history and gave so much information about each location. We would definitely go again. Take it from me! This is one the best experiences you will have when visiting the Coast.
This was a great small group tour at an easy pace, which meant we could spend time at each place and not feel that we had to rush. Lunch was delicious and Pete the tour operator knowledgeable and friendly. Recommend this tour.
Excellent Day Tour by Pineapple Tours Mr Peter. His service is excellent, winery that we went were awesome and he even bring us to a few stops where we can have lots of photos taken with wonderful view.
Best experience in Gold Coast and Kudos to Pineapple Tours.
