The tour guide was wonderful and took time to talk about other attractions to visit while staying in Brisbane. The wine was lovely and the town was adorable! Loved getting to shop and stop for a bite.

Scottie was a great driver and guide for our tour, he really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the experience. All the wineries had great offerings and informative cellar door staff. Scottie was super knowledgeable and great to chat to. We can’t recommend this tour enough.

Great trip

So easy. Pick up on time. Everything was timed perfectly. And to top off a thunder and lightning and hail on the way into Brisbane

It’s not just your tour. There will be several other tour groups with you. The tour itself was very good.

Shambolic

pamela_p, Jul 2025
Just a logistical mess. The tour guides seem to be misinformed to what is offered. The Hop On Hop Off aspect is missing. The second winery offered wines that were average best and the ‘hostess’ was miserable and even hostile. Here we sit in a place in Gallery Walk trying to find our own way around as our guide is at lunch and other tastings from others who shared our bus. If we could leave we would but we have to wait all afternoon. Why they combine tours is beyond me. There is clearly miscommunication to what is provided to Viator as they don’t describe our experience well.

Hi Pamela, Please get in touch with our team as soon as possible as I'd like to get more details regarding this matter we have been fully booked all week so I just need to get the drivers name so that this doesn't happen again.

Steve_M, Jun 2025
First winery should be eliminated from the tour. Second winery and brewery were excellent. Many tours are combined which makes timing dependent on all of the tours. Would have liked more time in the town and to stop and take pictures of the Gold Coast

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience. We’re sorry to hear that the first winery didn’t meet your expectations and that the timing on the day felt a little rushed. Your comments are very helpful as we continuously review our itinerary and partnerships to ensure the best possible experience for our guests. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the second winery and the brewery, they’re certainly favourites for many! We’re also taking note of your suggestion about allowing more time in the town and opportunities to stop for photos, especially with those beautiful Gold Coast views. The hop on hop off style of this tour means you are able to visit any attraction on the mountain but as there are so many it means you may need to spend more than one day to explore all of the mountains wonders. Thanks again for your valuable input, it helps us improve and create better days out for everyone.

Wine and Dine

The wine tour was very good even though it was raining all day. The wineries were informative and wines were good and so was the food

Tambourine mountain wine tasting

Loved the second winery, look out and Distillery. Lunch spot was very nice with a great view. Terry are drive was great

Content okay, dragged down by disorganization.

The tour company tries to do three separate tours in the same bus, which does not really work. The tour listings/itineraries are not clear or consistent. The guides/drivers have on their phones who is signed up for what, but it isn't really clear. The scenery is beautiful. The Witches Falls wine tasting was wonderful, and their wines were excellent. (Others in our group also enjoyed the beers from the adjacent brewery too.) Lunch at St Bernard Inn was also wonderful. We were not able to visit the distillery listed in the itinerary. The hop-on, hop-off aspect did not work for us. We spent time waiting for the bus or the van criss-crossing that would have been better spent sightseeing or at another winery/distillery/brewery. I understand the tour company wanting to diversify and maximize their tour offerings, but this did not work well for most participants. If they want to run one vehicle up the mountain for both a wine tasting/tour and general sightseeing, that could work, but the driver/guide should make clear on the way up (both 90 minute drive from Brisbane and 45 minute drive from Gold Coast would allow 5 of those minutes to break down the day's agenda) that those who are doing the wine tasting will be making the following stops with this van/driver and those doing the hiking, falls, and shopping will make those other stops. The hybrid plan wasn't really an option. The shops at the end were mostly worthless and seemed just to be a filler.

Response from Host, Feb 2025

Hi Eric, I’m glad that you enjoyed yourselves but I think you may have missed something as the Hop on Hop off is explained at the first stop and it is quite common that people get distracted by the beauty of the mountain and don’t pay attention to the information that is given to help you on the day. There is never only one bus on the mountain, there are normally four and on quieter days a minimum of 2. The tour that you booked is a Hybrid tour, there is a guided part of this tour includes two wineries and then you get have the freedom to use the Hop on hop off bus and choose where you wish to go. I can see you chose to visit St Bernard’s for lunch which takes around 90mins and it going to use up a large chunk of your day, you could have brought a picnic lunch or ate at a local cafe which only takes 30mins. Also the distillery is where the worthless shops are so you could have easily visited at this point (most people love the gallery walk and it’s a highlight of their trip as there are over 75 specialty shops with Tea, chocolates, fudge, truffles and a lot more arts and crafts). We advertise Hop on Hop off as Create your own adventure it’s your choice where you want to go you only need to communicate this with the driver.

So much fun

So much fun!!!! Lovely scenery. Great tour guide who was knowledgeable and hilarious. Definitely recommend.

Winery tour was awesome!

Crystal_C, Dec 2024
This experience was so great!!! It seemed a little unorganized in the beginning because the driver didn’t know who was one by wine tour and who was on the glow worm tour, but it ended up being amazing. Andy and Anthony were amazing!

Good experience but description is very misleading

Paul_W, Sep 2024
On the plus side, we enjoyed visiting two vineyards, had a great lunch and pleasant company. On the downside, the description on the website is quite misleading. It says one part "A sumptuous two-course lunch by an award winning chef at one of the wineries", " lunch at St Bernard Hotel" and "indulge in a delicious two-course lunch, cheese and fudge tasting (also included)". However, lunch was not included, and there was no visit to the St Bernard Hotel. It's wrong to say that cheese and fudge tasting were included in the tour - you can go to shops in the high street, but it's not really part of the tour. In one part of the description, it says "several wineries", but there are only two. The distillery was sort of included, but would be additional cost. I feel that a more honest description of what is included would allow guests to make more informed choices.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Hi Paul, Thanks for your feedback but I think there has been some confusion here, Pineapple Tours offers three levels of the wine tour so that different people with different needs are able to enjoy the experience. The experience that you booked is the “Wine Tasting” experience and does not include lunch in the package, it includes up to three tastings which you received, then time to join our hop on hop off bus if you wish, we do also offer a fully guided tour with a two course lunch and then our premium package includes all of the trimmings, cheese, chocolate, wine with lunch and everything we could think to include for the best experience including the tour being restricted to a maximum group size of 11 people. We also offer a Hop on Hop off bus which you are able to visit the wineries at your own pace and create your own adventure, sorry that you feel this way but our team is always available to answer any questions that you may have before booking. I’m glad that you had a good time regardless.

Great experience, highly recommend.
