I booked a whale watching tour with Spirit of Gold Coast, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The company changed their pick-up location but did not update the address in the third-party booking app. They sent an email the night before, which I think is poor customer service — most people on vacation aren’t constantly checking emails, and as a result, we had no idea the location had changed.
There were no signs at either the old or new pick-up points to indicate where the tour was departing, and we spent a lot of time confused and trying to find the right spot. We called and texted multiple times and I even left two voicemails, but have never received a response, even several days later.
Overall, this company felt incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. The lack of communication and customer support was very frustrating. I would recommend choosing a different whale watching tour in the Gold Coast that actually keeps guests informed and values their time.

Very organized and professionally run tour. Saw whales immediately upon leaving the seaway! They offered seasickness tablets to everyone ($3) and although it wasn’t rough we were glad we took them as we saw a couple of other people get sick. Trip was just long enough and with fine weather it made an excellent afternoon experience for us and our teenage son.

It's bumpy and windy. Prepare for seasickness and cold. I had a fantastic time. Saw some humpback moms and calfs. Captain was full of fun whale facts.

This was a great experience! The staff were really friendly and Dean was a fantastic guide taking us to the Whales. Today we were lucky enough to see a lot of whale activity, some dolphins and even a quick hello from a hammerhead shark. Great value for money! Would definitely recommend and do it again when I visit.

While of course it is appreciated that seeing and getting close to Whales is dependent on the whales playing along. This with today's technology is still very old school. Just drive out and hope, reliant on us the guests as much the crew spotting them. So as the whales didn't play along it was disappointing, they would say saw enough just to qualify and prevent them having to refund. Other boats out there put the guests onto whales. Maybe drone technology or another spotter boat, as my feeling is you had a lot of disappointed people at the end of a bumpy 3hours

We had a very enjoyable trip felt very privileged to spend so much time with these beautiful mammals. The trip was very well organised and Captain Dean was very knowledgable providing lots of information about the humpback whales. We got to see a mother and her calf breaching and flapping their tails to communicate. The trip was really good value for money and I highly recommend this trip .

Unfortunately our scheduled trip was cancelled due to inclement weather. However, they cheerfully rescheduled our trip for another suitable day, and everything was perfect - beautiful day, lots of playful whales and dolphins, great commentary and staff. Brilliant!

The whales don’t always perform with the classic breach behaviour. Mostly they just cruise on by the coast and you get a glimpse as they surface for air.

Today trip was cancelled due to the rough sea and strong wind. The captain said they will send email to us for reschedule of trip. But, now (night time), the company still have not sent email to us for rescheduling of trip. We are leaving on coming Tuesday..

Very well organised. Left promptly. Saw lots of whales. Weird thing was they took photos of everyone individually and printed them out but then you had to buy them so I asked what happens if I don't buy it and they said they just bin them.
