    Highlight of our trip

    Alex_H, Oct 2025
My wife and I do similar tours in almost every city we visit and this was one of the best, if not, the best! Our guide was personable, knowledgeable, and engaging. We learned about whiskey but it wasn’t pretentious — after explaining that she doesn’t love straight spirits, my wife was offered ginger ale to mix with her scotch in every pub we visited. We were able to see some hidden gems that we would have never found on our own, or even been allowed into! We sampled scotch at a private members only club. We will definitely remember this experience for years to come!

Wow, that's an awesome review!! We love to hear this is how you felt. Thanks for coming to our fair city and I hope we see you again!! Safe travels. Slainte!

    Had a great time!

I had a great time on this tour. We visited three pubs/bars and tasted three different Scotch whiskeys. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, both on Scotch itself (I believe he wrote a book on the subject) and on the history of Glasgow. Highly recommend taking the tour and then picking your favorite pub to return to afterwards.

Thanks so much, Jonathan. And that’s a great tip! These bars are amazing, hidden gems. See you again, hopefully! Slàinte!

    Perfect Glasgow afternoon!

    David_H, Aug 2025
It was fabulous. Neil was a warm, friendly, knowledgeable and passionate guide who tailored the whisky choices to the tastes of our group. He answered all our questions about whisky, Glasgow history and current events generously. Neil’s approach to whiskey is accessible and not pretentious. It was lovely afternoon and we kinda want to be friends with him now ! Glasgow is a great city and Neil’s tour was a great intro to it and to Scotch! Pro tip: don’t wear a football jersey/colours on this tour; they won’t let you into the bars. This is a “must do” in Glasgow!

    Response from Host, Aug 2025

Amazing, so glad you had such a good time. It was a great afternoon! And, a great reminder for other guests that football colours are generally not allowed in pubs ;) Thanks again and safe travels! Until the next time, slainte!

    Great Introduction to Scotch Whiskey

    Jaso_E, Jun 2025
It was an excellent experience! We received a tremendous amount of information on how Scotch-Whiskey is produced, how it differs from Bourbon, and a full history of the development of the industry and how it changed over time (ask about the role of industrial espionage). Additionally, we met three other couples whose company we very much enjoyed; one among them was celebrating an important milestone in life and it added to the fun.

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thanks for the lovely review. We are so glad you had such a great time. Whisky creates connections, we love that!! Until the next time, slainte!

    Fantastic whisky history tour

    Tracey_N, Jun 2025
This was a great tour. I went as an introduction to whisky. I learned a lot about whisky, Glasgow, and the history of both. Neil was fantastic and very informative. I highly recommend this tour.

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thanks so much for the review, Tracey. It was a pleasure! Take care. Slainte!

My friend and I only had...

    Victoria_D, Apr 2025
My friend and I only had a few days in Glasgow and wanted to experience its world of whiskey. Neither of us are well versed in scotch/whiskey and prior to this it was likely my last drink of choice (lol). However my friend and I thought “well! When in Scotland!”. We learned a lot, both about the alcohol and the city, as it was a walking tour as well. You can tell that Neil is incredibly passionate about the business they have created and the city of Glasgow! Would recommend to anyone looking to learn a bit about the city’s history of distilleries and sipping on a scotch… or a few!

    Response from Host, Apr 2025

Thanks so much for the kind review. It was a real pleasure having you both on the tour. I'm glad you also got to experience some impromptu local hospitality at the end! Safe travels!
