The bike ride is easy and there is not a guide for the biking portion. You ride to the base of the mountain lock up your bikes and continue up to the castle by bus, you do have to buy a ticket. The castle is guided. A easy pleasant walk back to the bikes. We were allowed to keep the bikes for our own use until 4pm. We started at 9AM, and the castle tickets provided with the bikes were for 11:05. Enough time for the ride and exploring before the castle entrance, and time to explore Fussen area after.

Loved having the bikes for the whole day. Easy to find and got all the info we needed before we took off. A beautiful and easy ride with lovely fall color. Near the road at times but on a dedicated path with lots of foliage. Lots of space to park and lock the bikes before walking through the castle tour area. Castle tour was interesting and efficient at getting groups through. No time to linger on your own through. Enjoyed some hot food and drinks and loved our whole day in the area.

The bike trail from the city to the castle tour was beautiful and easy, there was a bridge over a pond with a Swan family, the ride was easy, navigating to the castle was easy, we took horse drawn carriage up to the castle entrance (extra cost) and it was awesome! There were hang gliders flying over the area and the pictures are amazing! Finding the bike pick up location was a little confusing it is in a hostel on a corner in town with a small printed page saying “Bavarian Castle Tour”

Had the best time ever bike riding to the Neuschwanstein Castle with our family. Excellent way to see the beautiful countryside and save time standing in line. It and it was like a dream and I highly recommend it.
