Overview

Experience much more of Fraser Island than possible on a day or overnight tour on this three-day adventure. Go off the beaten track and try your hand at driving a 4WD or just enjoy the ride as a passenger as you visit beaches, rainforest, lakes, and even a shipwreck. Includes accommodation and meals.

Drivers: must be 21 years or over, with an open license and at least 2 years driving experience.Driver safety briefing the morning of departure. No off road driving experience necessary.
Pack small luggage only - Approx 30L size bag.
If less than two vehicles on the tour, the lead guide is the only person legally allowed to drive the vehicle.
Alcohol and snacks welcome. (Boxed wine not allowed)

Overall a nice experience but some things could have been better

In general, the tour was nice and we stopped at several nice places. However, I was missing getting a schedule in the morning so we would know what was going on and what to pack. Even when asking, the guide never really told us what the plan of the day would be and how long we would stay at different spots, which created unneccessary stress as we were always leaving places suddenly and in a hurry. Also, while the dinners were nice, the lunch was often not enough and as a veggie, I had to eat uncooked falafel for lunch twice. Also, we never got snacks in between meals, so most people endet up having to purchase additional food in order to not be hungry all day.

Thank you for your feedback, sorry to hear about the cold falafels however when you are out having a picnic in a remote area it’s hard to offer warmed falafels. Not sure why the guide would be rushed on a three day tour there is plenty of time to see the sights. Plenty of snacks are provided for the guests on the tour so not sure why you didn’t get offered any! Pity you didn’t say who the guide was so we could comment.

The journey was an adventure Fraser Island is amazing our guide was great fun but unfortunately my wife n I were a little too mature ( mid 50’s ) for the tents and struggled with going to sleep each night not as agile as the young ones but we survived . 4wding and beach driving was a lot of fun
