Itinerary
After pickup at your El Calafate hotel, travel by comfortable coach to Los Glaciares National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Perito Moreno glacier. During the ride, learn about the park's animal and plant life, including details about Perito Moreno. Stop along the journey at scenic alpine lookouts among the mountains and the steppes.
Arrive at the 'Curve of Sighs,' a turn in the solitary road that offers visitors their first panoramic view of Perito Moreno. This gigantic ice field is one of the only advancing glaciers in the world, a 19-mile (30-km) block of ice that juts out into the milky blue water of Lago Argentino.
Walk on the glacier using the park's wooden walkways and follow directions from your guide to some of the area's hiking trails. Visit the viewing platforms for perspectives of the immense ice field from different angles and levels. Watch for calving: chunks of ice rupturing off the face of the glacier and cascading into Lago Argentino. Break for lunch (own expense) in the park's restaurant or enjoy refreshments you've brought with you.
Re-board your coach for the ride back to El Calafate and drop-off at your hotel.
Optional Boat Ride: After viewing the Curve of Sighs, head directly for Bajo Las Sombras port and board your boat. Sail between floating ice chunks of every size as you cross the Rico Arm of Lago Argentino. Visit the advancing wall of the glacier, a 196-foot (60-meter) vertical face of ice that juts out into the lake.
Afterward, join your guide for a visit to the footbridge that allows multiple views of Perito Moreno from land. Observe ice calving and crashing from the wall into the lake before you return to your coach for the ride back to El Calafate and drop-off at your hotel.

Only get the package for transportation, do not add the optional boat tour through Viator. It is twice the cost as the price you would pay locally if you want to add it on later at the day of travel. Viator contracts a local company and the local company allows to add the boat tour for anyone who wants to do it. The on the spot cost is ARS 65,000 which is about $45, way less than the $100 that Viator charges.
Apart from that the glaciers itself are amazing and a must visit! We had an amazing time, and got to see them upclose, and also break and fall off

Seem to have dealt with alot of companies on this trip; Tangol, Gigantes Patagones, and the tour operator on the day seemed to be Tiempolibre who supplied the coaches and tour guide. Prompt pickup at my hotel and a bus feeder transfer to a coach outside El Calafate. Was booked to do the optional boat ride at 10AM with balcones after. You can also buy the park ticket at the park entrance 45,000 ars with cash or card. Toilet breaks along the way, and there is a Cafe at the glacier centre. After getting our boat tickets we were then told the boat had departed, and the boat was cancelled until 1PM. So we did the balcones first. No big deal. Stunning glacier and good narration in English. I would recommend this trip.

This is a must-do, and you MUST book the optional boat tour. We warned - the weather between El Calafate and the glacier can be very different - prepare for cooler and possibly wet weather. Even if you think you would not be interested in seeing the glacier, once you are there, you will be glad you went.

You will be charged additional usd 65 when booked the boat tour via viator with them. Just get your own ticket of boat tour there. in the park the boat tour will be only 63k pesos. And when reached out via viatour, no reward or no partial refund was offered.

The Glacier National Park is definitely unmissable and is an exciting and fantastic day trip.
Whilst our guide was really cheerful and pleasant and gave us some interesting info on the glacier, and we also stopped at some nice places to take photos of it from a distance, it was rather a lot of money to pay for what was a convenient bus ride. A smart bus though. But unless you hire a car your travel options are very limited!
Note you pay for the national park entry yourself using cash only (pesos only accepted) or you can pay on line via the national parks website. It's around $42 US on conversion. But you can pay for the boat trip at the quayside in cash or by credit card.

Incredible experience. Our guide, Martin, was very knowledgeable and shared so many facts with us with positive energy throughout. For those that didn’t want/could find mini-trekking, this is a worthwhile alternative. Although you don’t walk on the ice, you’re able to see the glaciers from different vantage points (boat ride was great).

We loved visiting the perito moreno glacier! Our guide was really good and offered information about the glacier and the region, also the flora, on our way to the glacier. Note that you can pay for entry to the park online and not only in cash; just do it while you have WiFi or cell service because there is no service at the station ask entrance. Sometimes they allow payment in credit card at the entrance via a machine but it seems like it does not always work. The glacier itself is spectacular. We went in winter (June) and it was cloudy to start but the clouds gradually lifted and we had amazing views. We were supposed to do the boat tour as well but it was canceled due to fog and we were promptly refunded that part of the cost.

Guide was nice and the driver was great! However, the value for the price was not there. While the guide was super nice and engaging on the way to the glacier including sharing great history and biological information, etc., it was essentially just a shuttle to the glacier where everyone wondered around on their own and were picked up a few hours later. There were many other bus services there around 50-60% cheaper which did the same (perhaps with a little less interaction/guides.

The bus was 45 minutes late to my hotel. The hostess did apologize. Otherwise, this was more a transportation than a guided tour. We were left at the glacier to walk on our own and regather at 2pm. For 372 US dollars, they need to do a lot better.

I usually dismiss low reviews as bitter people, but I feel compelled to share our experience. Coming for the first time I didn’t want to disappoint my family so I decided this tour would be a good option. If you have a rental car you can make this easy drive from El Calafate. Your time at the glacier is all self guided. You can book your own boat tour. We spent a lot of money for a bid ride and a guide who didn’t share any information of interest. Don’t fall for this

The trip and service were good, except that it was highly overpriced. Accidentally, I made another reservation for the Perito Moreno Glacier trip with a boat trip and hotel pick-up through another agency. This was priced higher by over $100. Before the cancellation due dates, upon reviewing the activities, I was led to believe that this higher-priced option offered more, and seeking to maximize our experience, we opted for this one and canceled the previous booking.
It turned out that this option offered nothing more than what the other agency provided (which also delivered good service with the other activity we booked with them during this trip). A hotel pick-up to the Perito Moreno Glacier, where they left us for 2-3 hours, followed by a drive to the boat ride and then ride back to our hotel.
I tried filing for Viator's lowest price guarantee, providing the link and snapshots from the other experience provider with their offered price and itinerary, but they just came back to me saying the tour operator states that this is how it should be priced. So if you want to save your money big time, do a little more research.

Our guide (Nadia was her name I think) was amazing. So informative and spoke English so well. She shared so much interesting information with us, and answered any questions we had. She also gave us great tips about other things to see and do (not selling anything).
Also it was so convenient to have a pick up at our hotel with a drop-off close by. Since we are over 65, we could not walk on the glacier, so this tour turned out to be an outstanding alternative with so many ways to view the glacier. I would highly recommend it!

If you have your own ride, do this one on your own. The facility picks you up and takes you to the national park (the park fee isn’t included with the tour). Then a boat ride that is only for one hour to the glacier and then they drive you back to the hotel.
We paid $800 for 4 people. We could’ve definitely done this on our own and saved some money and enjoyed more time at the site. The national park is definitely worth seeing however the tour isn’t necessary in my opinion.
