Disappointing- Mis-sold, time wasted

This safari was very disappointing. As per the description, we expected to be picked up in a 4x4 and my sons who love vehicles were expecting that. Instead, we were picked up by a mini van. We were driven on two detours first stopped at a shop to buy scarves and then taken to a quad biking site where we were told we would wait for 40 mins so that we could quad bike. We had not requested this. I asked whether there would be quad biking at the main site and was told no only there. We and the other party who were with us said we didn’t want to quad bike and just wanted to do the dune bashing. 2 hours later, we finally reached the 4x4 car and were transferred to it. We had a very fun dune bashing session but very short only about 10 mins, 15 mins max. This was disappointing as we had been looking forward to this and expected it to be 30-45 mins. This company have only a few 4 x 4 cars which they use to ferry different groups and that’s why the experience was rushed. In the past, on safari in the UAE I have had my own 4 x4 and there has been no rush. When we reached the camp, there was a short camel ride and 1 sand board for the 100 or so guests to share. There were also quad bikes to ride on. Interesting, as I was told there wouldn’t be. Inside the camp, there were two sections:a VIP section where people could be served food and drinks immediately and the normal sextion where people could only have water and hot drinks but mood wouldn’t be served until 7:00for appetisers and 7:30 for mana- bear in mind we got there at 5 and had left our hotel at 3 and the experience finished at 8:00. As we were hungry, we opted for the VIP package which meant an additional cost of 200 dirhams- 50 dirhams per person. We were charged extra simply to earths food we had already paid for in our package straight away rather than intentionally being forced to wait to make people fork out more money. There was no traditional Arabic dress as described, no falcon experience (aside from someone shoving a falcon on my 6 years old son’s arm for us to pay 20diehams to take a picture with our phones) and no belly dancing. The fire show in particular was excellent however which is what makes me give 2 stars. However, several other companies use the same venue. Therefore the same fire show can be experienced by booking with a different company. When the experience finished, whilst others went straight to their cars, we had to wait around for the few 4 x 4 cars this company has to again ferry people and go back and forth. This company seem to be cutting several Corners, promising what they don’t deliver and trying to make money by getting cuts via other supplies by trying to force customers to buy additional items and wasting their time in the process. This is my 5th time doing a safari in the UAE and this was by far my worst experience.

This reservation was for the tour operator I paid in full went to the boat and was told the reservation was not in the books. I called the tour operator and was told I had to call him first. That’s not what was told in the email...I feel bad for the boat because unfortunately this reflects bad on the tour operator and the boat business...Viator needs to ban this operator

Hi, as we send you confirmation there is mentioned boarding time 19:45. But you were reach there at 20:30. You called us 20:32 but that time our boat left already. And after that you try to enter wrong boat then they said your booking not with us. We ask you reschedule for next day but you don't agreed.

Estuve en el “unique Cruise” primero cuando llegue allá al puerto no tenia el dato de cual era mi barco, tuve que buscar cómo comunicarme con el operador y demás, y el barco asignado muy feo la comida muy mala. Casi no me gusto

J’ai mit une étoile car impossible de n’en pas mettre du tout. Nous avons acheté nos places pour cette soi disant croisière, sauf que l’adresse sur le ticket (celui de viator qui indique où récupérer les vrais tickets) était FAUSSE une fois sur place le gardien du bâtiment indiqué nous a dit qu’il n’était pas au courant de cela et qu’ici c’était une simple Residence. Nous nous sommes retrouvés au milieu de nul part sans taxi sans rien, heureusement le gardien a bien gentiment appelé un VTC pour nous. J’ai essayé de contacter le numéro donné qui m’a dit que je devait me rendre à l’adresse donné via whatsapp sauf que je n’ai reçu AUCUN message whatsapp. Et quand j’ai envoyé un mail pour me faire rembourser on me dit que non l’adresse donné n’a jamais été celle là, j’ai envoyé une capture d’écran pour prouver ce que je disait et bien sûr PLUS DE NOUVELLES !!!!
