Everything ran very smoothly - including comms the day before, pickup from the hotel, boat to the island, etc. Lighthouse tour was very informative. The island was small but very picturesque!

Pape was a fantastic guide. The lighthouse was really interesting to visit. And Ngor Island was beautiful. Pape managed the timings so we avoided the crowds. Fantastic excursion.

If ever in Dakar, you cannot miss this tour. My tour guide Abdoulaye was amazing, and made sure that I got a comprehensive tour of BOTH Mamelles Lighthouse and Ngor Island. Both places were incredibly beautiful, overlooking the ocean, with a million different colors of blue. Abdoulaye happened to also be good with technology, and was able to snap some pictures that I will cherish for a lifetime. From the bottom of my heart - thank you!

A Relaxing Half Day Trip with Pape

A relaxing half day tour in the north of Dakar that includes exploring a working lighthouse. A treat to be able to see the inside of one. Great views from there. This is followed by an easy walking tour with Pape on the colorful Ngor Island which is a fun ten minute boat ride away from the mainland. A peaceful island where you can get away from the busy city and listen to birds chirp.

Amazing visit in Dakar

My 16 year old son and I did this first rate half day visit to Phare de Mamelles and Ngor Island with Pape. He was a lively and interesting guide! We loved the lighthouse tour, learned a lot, saw Dakar from a high elevation, and got many amazing photos. Then we went to Ngor Island, a beautiful artist community. We toured the town, had refreshments at the Maison de Bonheur, and walked along the cliffs to see the surfers. We loved this adventure and would do it again!
