Great tour of all of the city including many local areas and small fishing market areas. Great local food.

Time was rubbery on this colourful and arty zoom around Dakar. I asked respectfully to avoid as many shopping stops as possible, so we had more time at the artists workshop, the mosque, and the monuments. But the true highlights were the beachside foodstop - incredible local spicy fish dish - and an unexpected drop-in to a cliffside reggae bar to watch the sun go down. Magic. Zey was a great guide, full of knowledge and fun.

This excursion is a great way to see city life in Dakar. Yes do the monuments and museums in another tour. But don’t miss this one. See how people live. See the fishing villages. The quaint restaurants. The food was fabulous. Malou is a great guy. He is knowledgeable. Great personality to hang out with for the day. I’m so glad I booked this tour and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get to know the culture in Senegal.

Wow. Eye opening. Thrilling. Not to be missed.
The guys met us OUTSIDE the port gate on two mopeds with helmets. Cover up or wear lots of sunscreen. Bring water.
A fascinating look at Senegalese society including back-alley breakfast shops and a delightful lunch at his aunt’s home.

An impressive experience to get to know the local culture and community. Very well organized and managed by Bea. The guide Malou is an expert in his profession and a very nice and welcoming person. Had breakfast and lunch with locals. I got many interesting insights with a lot of valuable background information.

This is hands down the best way to get an authentic taste of life in Dakar. This is not run by a tour company, but rather one guy who has lived here all his life and wants people to see what the daily life is like for someone who lives here. Malou picks you up on his motorcycle and takes you to several markets to see how the locals shop, try classic Senegalese food from multiple small and hidden places, and show off several cool places where locals work, hang our, or relax, all while giving his perspective on what it’s like to live here and the challenges/advantages that come with it. The majority of the tour you will spend time in places no other tourists will ever go. I’ve taken dozens of tours from all around the world, and this is the only one where I truly felt like I got an experience that showed what life truly is like as a local. I cannot recommend this enough.

Préparez vous à être un vrais sénégalais le temps d’une journée ! Le guide Malou connais Dakar comme ça poche, il vous amène hors des sentiers touristiques pour vous faire découvrir plusieurs quartiers avec leurs spécialités. Avec Malou on mange bien et bon, on boit pas mal de café aussi 😉. A l’arrivèrent du Vespa vous êtes en sécurité, la conduite est prudente. Pour finir la journée nous sommes allé manger sur la plage avec ces amis musiciens et chanteurs devant un beau couché de soleil.
