We had a great full-day tour with our guide. He showed us all the highlights of the island and we even had some time to spend on the beach with our nine-year-old daughter. It is a beautiful island and this is a great way to experience as much as you can in limited amount of time.

We were greeted promptly at the cruise port by our driver Theodore. After talking to us, he created a perfect itinerary for our day including a private wine and olive oil tasting at Theotoky Estate, The Paleokastritsa Monastery, and the old town. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and even made a stop at a local grocery market for snacks. We would definitely do the tour again!

We had an incredible adventure! Boating to the caves was a big highlight! The views were amazing! Our group consisted of 1 senior, 4 adults and a 13 year old. We were very comfortable in our large mini van.

Our guide, Sofia, was excellent - she was interesting, knowledgable, engaging, and funny. We booked a half day (4 hour) tour since it was a Windstar cruise stop and had a limited time to explore. We had enough time for 3 stops: Monastery at Paleokastritsa, a quick stop at the beach below the monastery, and a quick walk through of the city of Corfu. A full day to really explore, in retrospect, would have been ideal. Perhaps next time.
We hit the monastery before heavy local and tourist traffic descended into the beach town that was being overrun by tour buses and others sun seekers looking to spend the afternoon there. Looking back, we wish we had used that time differently. The Monastery is a must see. The seas surrounding there are postcard, but would suggest skipping the beach town and using that time for another location or more time in the City of Corfu.
Due to heavy traffic, by the time we arrived into downtown Corfu we only had about an hour left which was spent shopping. We would love to have had more time to visit the fortresses, Church of St. Spyridon, Museum of Asian Art, etc.
If you have the luxury of a full day in Corfu expanding the itinerary to see more of its beautiful architecture is needed. We didn’t scratch the surface of the Corfu. 4 hours isn’t enough time to do it justice. That was our miscalculation, not Sofia’s. She was wonderful.

Our original bike tour of Corfu was cancelled due to bad weather. I found this group on Viator and contacted them to see if they could fit us in for a last minute booking. We were taken around Corfu in a very spacious mini van by our guide cum driver Feodore who was very knowledgable and keen to talk about Corfu.
The only negative i would probably point out is that the driver had an airport pick right after our tour.... so it felt a bit rushed towards the end.

We did the tour at the start of our 10 day stay to get a proper orientation, see some sites and get some top tips. Although expensive the tour did just that. Our knowledgeable, friendly and all round lovely tour guide Sophia customised the trip for our needs balancing seeing things (that would benefit from her knowledge) to pointing out others we should visit on our own during our stay based on the interest of the family as well as helping us with directions to places we have booked in advance. All the time giving us useful hints about what to do and what to avoid. Money well spend as it set us up perfectly.

It all boils down to who your guide is. Unfortunately for us, it was a nice lady but one who should not be a tour guide. She imposed her agenda which was lacking all the well documented important sites to hers which was to stop, sit, socialize about her own personal life rather than what we came to see. She could not walk and talk at the same time and wasted so much of ours that I had to finally push the tour along. I told her at the beginning the key points for us to visit was the Palace, the Old City and the beautiful Paleookastritsa beach. She tried to talk us out of each one. I insisted and she revealed her age (72) and that she needed to go slow and rest. We only had half a day to enjoy this city from our ship and choose a private tour to make the most of the time. That did not work out with her (Angela) but the driver was great, he was perfectly ontime and had the AC cranked up, the vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter) clean and ready to go. We are thankful to him.

Travelling with 2 young children (5 and 2) we were very grateful to have the guidance of Sophia who advised us on how we could efficiently plan our day around activities that would suit both us and them. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and took time to speak with our 5-year-old daughter frequently, telling her the tales of Greek myths and keeping her engaged and interested so we could enjoy taking in the sights and scenery too! Her last recommendation for a spot of late lunch on a hillside overlooking Paleokastritsa was one of our favourite moments of the holiday - the views were stunning! Thank you Sophia, and to Costus too, for being a fabulous driver and entertaining (putting up with!) our daughter over lunch, who took a real shine to him! :-)

We scheduled this as an excursion from our day in port with the Norwegian Star. Christina was our driver, and she absolutely went above and beyond in showing us the highlights of Corfu. Beyond that, she was able to suggest a spot to eat lunch once the tour was complete. We were racing against the clock as a storm was forecasted to hit the area a couple of hours after our arrival. She helped us map out a plan to hit as many spots as we could before the weather turned, and it worked out perfectly. She was engaging, professional, and knowledgeable. If at all possible I suggest requesting her when you make your reservation.
